What a excellent Johnny Marvin song! The lyrics are beautiful and his voice is so smooth! The machine adds so much to the song, it simply wouldn't be the same with a "modern" turntable! Thanks so much for posting this, and I hope you have time to post more of Johnny's songs.Best Always, Charlie.
Anubis454545, (Sorry for the delay in responding.) Thank you so much-I'm pleased you enjoy my little clips. It's a great pleasure to share a bit of my small collection with you all.
You have quite the collection of records and gramophones. Thank-you for sharing them with us. I have one gramophone - an HMV 101. I am always pleased to find more people who enjoy these brilliant machines. Chris.
Chris, Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so pleased you enjoy my little clips. I too have an HMV 101, they are wonderful machines! It is one of my favorites.
Thank you for sharing your collection with the world. It is so good to hear those old recordings played on the machines they were meant to be played on. I really liked the B/W video. Nice touch.
HD7100, Thank you so much. I'm pleased you enjoyed it. I guess the B&W worked out pretty good. I've heard nothing but positive comments. So you'll see some more sprinkled throughout my future offerings.
D, Thank you. I've wanted to do one like an old movie production for a while now since the botched attempt with 'The Whistler and His Dog' debacle. ;-) This one came out much better. We've learned a great deal since then. Mordeth did a amazing job of blending the audio from the first part of the clip recorded with the lid closed with the final brake click and lid closing from the second part done with the lid up. I'm pleased you enjoyed it.
LOVE the room's decor... I've tried to backdate my new apt. thusly!!! Love your music, et al.
