  • The current laws regarding marijuana are a product of the Nixon administration that put pot on a "schedule 1" status that supposedly makes it as dangerous as heroin which is crap as is known world wide except for assholes that are in bed with the pharmaceudicals and special interests that want to control what people do. Meth and cocaine are schedule 2 drugs so the feds are saying that grass is worse than those two. It's high time to change the laws.

  • Anything do with higher consciousness and more understanding of self the goverment has on their illegal list. This society has been trained to believe that certain thinks are bad for us when they clearly are not. It's sad that we have drunk drivers on the roads and millions of cancer patients yet a harmless plant is illegal. That goes to show how screwed up todays society really is and how mindless people are.

  • @Redcaster916 You're completely right. Its all to do with control and money, which all comes down to greed.

  • i envy the usa for this, a lot!

though, needs to be fully legalized!

  • A gag order was just issued against campaign for liberty .com. Why you might ask, well, they are alleging that Campaign for Liberty has acted illegally merely by putting the candidates on the record and reporting their positions. This is the fucking new gestapo, and we need to stop these bastards now... RIGHT NOW! google this, fec attacks campaign for liberty, then sign the declaration of support. I'm not joking around. Copy and paste this into every comment box you can.

  • Collectives and dispensaries still being shut down, raided, and harassed in SoCal as of August 2010. Don't believe the hype. Legalize California in November!!!!

  • I hope it's true but don't be fooled people! Obama works for the same shit bags bush worked for, these are the same shit bags who made marijuana illegal in the first place to protect their business interests! They say one thing and then do the opposite, you know how the feds operate! Marijuana and hemp should be legalized immediately and that would save the world but tell that to the evil pieces of shit that control our government! We can and we will make marijuana legal across the globe!!!!

  • yes , this kind of legal action and regulatory body should frame such legal notice to trace the illegal activities and also to avoid these.

  • Thanks President Obama. But we need complete decriminalization and legalization as well as regulation and taxes. We need equality like alcohol and cigarettes. 100,000,000 Americans can't be wrong.

  • HIGH THC

    THANK YOU

  • first of al Obama could not come right out saying he would legalize Natural herbs, people would not have voted for him, now that medical marijuana is working, and Economy is going down the tubes, and Voters are very much in favor of it, He can hit the home run and legalize it, but it takes time to harvest the seed, plant it then let it grow all buy itself, it will be legal very soon

  • The below comment is completely un-intelligent by all definitions. This "guy" you speak of is The President of the United States of America. You sir, berkelianator are are a jackass. Go drink Alcohol, because it's much better for you right?

  • SteveStap1, WHo cares if he's "The Prez of the U.S.". He sure doesn't demand respect for following Bush tactics with Patriot Act and hiring a bunch of Jews in his cabinety to bailout even more Jews with Tax money. Why would anybody respect the head of the Mob? Thats all he is.

  • Lets see what mischeif this guy Barack Obama is up to now. In my opinion government will come in to this business and downsize it big time due to the many mistakes these "medical" marijauna clubs make. For instance they dont test their medicine for toxic chemicals. This will be a reason to shut them down. The doctors that prescribe medical cards will be under investigation and some will be shut down. Their patients will be void. Lol this could possibly mean the reduction of patients by 75%.

  • Healing of the Nations!!

    Healing of the World!!

  • LEGALIZE IT

"I have given you all the seed-bearing plants and herbs to use..." Genesis 1;12

  • thats what they say, but, the DEA doesn't seem to understand that they are not needed in that area anymore. they say one thing, but they mean something completely different. Those goons need to step off for real.

  • @ShpinxiLotus23 Hey, if they are gonna Tax Marijuana, they can Tax Religion and Charities too. Whats good for one group, is good for the opposing group too. After all, it was right wing extremist Christians that Banned MJ in first place. Dismantle the DEA and send them to unemployment lines, or better yet, let the big tough agents really go undercover and dig ditches for a living. Then when they have a blown disc in back, they will need Medical MariJuana!

  • good god just legalize it.. it's what the people want. its a harmless plant. and a harmless substance. legalize it, grow it and tax the shit out of it. I'll buy it from the government! lol

  • i wouldn't buy it from the government. look at what they do to tobacco. they lace cigarettes with cancer causers. zig zags have asbestos in them, BIC lighters have really nasty hydrocarbons in them that you don't want to inhale that are intentionally put there to give us disease (they even have 50 dollar refillable lighters with special ultra filtered butane because of the cheap hippykiller lighters that can be found in every gas station. ) don't pay taxes for anything. money grows on trees

  • midnight train.. lol

  • This was done in direct contradiction to the

bush administration's stance which states that

marijuana was sent by the devil to give

hippies their fuel to attack jesus christ and

    capitalism.

  • Or aknowledging medical uses

  • So does this mean Marijuana can no longer be termed a "Schedule 1 drug"? This does seem like they (Fed Govt) are admitting medical uses of the substance. I believe that's pretty much the only difference between schedule 1 and schedule 2.

  • stupid bush

  • finally

  • oh and the previous comment i just made should explain to people why there's so much crime around drugs. don't you think gangs would get involved in alcohol again if they could sell a case of beer for $2,500?

and pot actually has a lower profit % than harder drugs b/c it's less risky to deal. legalize drugs and gangs and related crime will pretty much disappear overnight to be replaced by gigantic new american corporations like al capone was replaced by budweiser and coors.

  • Loathamar, some math:you want people to overpay by 3,500% by force of gun or jail from the gov (it's $2-$5 for enough rolling tobacco for 100 cigarettes). how'd you like to pay $90 for 1 beer? $2500 for a case of beer? or do you only want to insanely tax things other ppl like?

freedom has to be for everyone, not just for yourself. until ppl realize that again, we won't live in a free country.

if u think we do, go smoke pot, hire a hooker, or try to grow more acres of wheat than ur allowed to.

  • This is like the multiple times when Obama promised to stop raiding dispensaries.. Only for multiple dispensaries to be raided immediately after, multiple times. Ask yourself why Obama isn't trying to pass a law or issue an executive order on this? Instead, all he uses is empty words. This allows him to say one thing and do another. Nothing but meaningless political pandering for morons that keep voting in the same people who strip them of their rights and freedoms every election cycle.

  • Shame that Obama is still gonna extradite Marc Emery...

  • Barack, this bud's for you.

  • I supported Ron Paul & this was something we prayed for.

The Federal Government has no business being involved with drugs & it certainly has no business ignoring state laws on drugs.

This is a recognition of States Right & for Barack to have taken this Conservative step is outstanding & I'm sure his action will be highly praised on wonderfully Conservative Fox news.

    What?

  • i believe that whenever the federal govt steps back and actually respects the rights and the powers of the states, it's a good thing. it makes no sense to me how something like weed, or thc, that you can't even overdose on can be classified as an illicit drug in the first place. making criminals out of people who aren't really criminals is basically how the prison industrial complex works, and it's not right.

  • next stop: caw-ee-forn-eua

  • I want some of that midnight train!

  • come on everyone...if your state does not have a medical cannabis program...write, call, speak out, until your state passes a law....after enough states show economic recovery because of industrial HEMP and medical cannabis the whole nation will see how beneficial this plant can be. Let us grow! Down with the cartels!

  • I am hoping with this new law change, Maryland can develop proper agendas to improve the medical marijuana laws in our state. Even though Maryland has legal medical marijuana laws there are no age limits, cannabis prescribers, dispensaries, id cards, etc. Basically you get a doctor to write a prescription saying you can consume cannabis, and well if you get caught you spend a night and jail and get a 100 dollar fine. Honestly, these laws need to be advanced.

  • No laws were changed.

  • Since Obama supported an end to prosecution of patients, it's only a matter of time before the Republitards start attacking medical users. It's funny, cuz you'd think conservatives would want the govment to but out of peoples' personal habits.

  • progrssive, I doubt that seriously.

  • i punched my fist into the air in celebration when i saw this vid. i love obama!

  • Another common sense action would be to make it easy for farmers to get permits to grow industrial Hemp. The stuff is quite useful.

  • @dungar: Many "over 50" still smoke dope and never quit. It's been too dangerous to careers and parenting rights for boomers to admit it so they've stayed secretive. but every community has Drs., judges, elected officials, govt. employees, business owners, etc. smoking MJ while living constructive lives and being good parents. In fact, babyboomers are the biggest study imaginable proving the fallacy of anti-drug arguments! Remember that when assuming all narrow-minded dupes are your elders. (<;

  • Well finally something I agree with Obama about. If it works out the congress should write it into law. Medical marijuana is a States issue.

  • @smartkart: Most recreational drug users are not drug addicts and do not suffer overall life ill-effects from their use (which baby-boomers prove). A minority do, but not most. Belief to the contrary is the result of 35+ years of moralistic anti-drug propaganda so Americans won't be enraged by the trillions of wasted $ and violations of civil rights at the hands of the criminal justice system and DEA. We fearfully continue the waste of $ & lives because of a small percentage, which helps no one.

  • Simplistically blurring the issues between govt. criminalization of substances use a govt. healthcare payment system as though they are one & the same is intentional by industries dependent on the status quo. Criminalizing substances enriches the criminal justice system, prisons, & drug rehab industries, while preventing a govt. single payer healthcare system enriches insurance companies and certain classes of healthcare providers. Neither have our collective best interests at heart.

  • Criminalization of marijuana is moral criminalization of victimless private behaviors & govt. intrusion in to citizens' privacy. Providing a medical care payment system is merely using pooled resources to make payments to healthcare providers, cutting out multi-layers of for profit companies taking a cut of each payment. Govt. will not make our healthcare decisions but will merely process the paperwork and send payments to medical providers, thus it is not govt. intrusion.

  • Most liberals as well as libertarians have known for decades that the "War on Drugs" is a complete WASTE of our tax dollars.

On the other hand, the VAST majority of modern-day (Reagan) "conservatives" (90-95% of the Republican Party) are STILL too blind to see. THEY are BIG government in this case.

  • Legalize and tax drugs, change it from a negative to a positive government cash flow.

  • Taxing drugs is to nerdiest idea ever. Just legalize it and that's it, enough with taxing life.

  • Yes, because we don't tax any other legal drugs. There are no taxes at all on alcoholic or cigarettes. And as the current price of cannabis has nothing to do with growing costs. Cannabis, if legal would cost about the same as tobacco, about $30/lb. With cannabis selling at $50 1/8 of an oz, if legalized and not taxed then the cost would be less then $1 per 1/8, which is just a silly pricing. I don't see any reason that the pricing for cannabis needs to change, just its legal status.

  • Wouldn't it be great if potheads could channel their energy into something productive. All that knowledge directed at one fucking plant. Growth technique, genetics, fertilization, crossbreeding, chemical composition .. They're like mad scientists.

  • Trey, well yeah of course because all potheads grow pot, just like all drinkers brew beer and all cocaine addicts process their own cocaine. Yes, you are brilliant. Amazing commentary you genius.

  • So a few kids on the internet say fuck. So what? Its a word. You people need to grow up! Who cares?

This is great news for our movement and we're happy for it. So fuck off.

  • Wow, look at the widespread filthy language used by all the pot smokers here. Nasty name calling, illiteracy, insults to anyone who disagrees. It doesn't do much for your pothead culture's credibility, does it? Bring it on with all those colorful F words, loser.

  • Yet you call others losers, what have you brought to the table here?

  • I never thought I would say this but the destruction the illegal cartels are having on society is unconscionable. The government should take it over like alcohol and tobacco. They could regulate it and make the billions the cartels do. People are going to do what they do, legal or illegal.

  • This is great news.

I've been a supporter of Ron Paul & this is what we've been praying for.

    Bush totally ignored States Rights.

  • anyone who thinks this is going to make obama more popular, is a moron. he's a pathetic piece of shit who's fronting for the real power in America. obama doesn't make any decisions, they're made for him.

  • Fuck the federal government what is their problem

can the lust for power ever end?

  • Obama finally did something good

  • Rationality won a battle today!

  • Does anyone see the connection with the coming rule of required healthcare and the changes in the medical marijuana laws?

Now everyone will get a marijuana prescription and it'll be an out of pocket taxed expense.

More money for insurance companies and the govt.

  • wow, you mean obama finally rejected a bush admin policy like he was allegedly elected to do? first time for everything.

  • Yea and an extremely imporatnt one too.

  • so you think someones personal choice to smoke a plant should be made illegal because you "see enough dope freaks all the time"? i think your a loser for making judgments about a group of people from the comments made on a youtube video.

  • You too have no idea what you are talking about. So what if people use it for recreation. It is far less harmful than alcohol, tobacco, or even caffeine.

You only see the stereotypical smoker. What you don't realize is that there are many people that smoke and you will never realize it.

Ted Turner for instance. Very successful, very wealthy and smokes a joint everyday.

You like the fellow below you are an uneducated bigot. You are not smarter than most either. Only fools resort to name calling.

  • The issue is about FREEDOM.

"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add "within the limits of the law" because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual."

    -- Thomas Jefferson

Its doesnt matter what you think about the drug or the people that use it. Learn it. Live it. Love it. THIS IS AMERICA

  • smartkart, Funny how someone who criticizes potheads doesnt actually want to engage in a conversation or debate with one. Its clear looking at your page that youre nothing but a troll, or a multiple account user. THAT "speaks volumes"

  • Hey wally, I am not a pothead... but i must say you're a douche.. you're probably over 50, and you are a hypocrite because people who believe it is their free right to smoke weed shouldn't have people like you telling them they don't have that right. Joe Stalin didn't let his country use it either, neither did Mao Xedong, nor does Fidel Castro

I'd think real hard about who i am before i decide to tell other people what to do and what not to do.. You want to be a fascist, do it outside of America

  • Marijuana is only glamourized because its illegal. if it was legal no one would care about it. Some would smoke it for various reasons and the world wouldn't change in the slightest.

Alcoholics would still commit their crimes, beat their wives, abuse their children, ruin their lives, kill people while driving drunk and die 20 years early from liver cancer...

And those same alcoholic criminal lunatics would think marijuana was worse.

If you drink alcohol you should go to prison.

  • If you commit a crime while drunk you should go to prison. Drinking is the same as marijuana should be, a private right best done in ones home with friends.

    And cheetos.

  • Wally, if you had any intelligence about you, you would realize that crude comments are coming from both parties. You shouldn't make such judgments about people who smoke a plant. I suppose the same could be said about people who smoke tobacco. "Oh look they smoke tobacco cigarettes, therefore all harsh comments must be coming from people who smoke tobacco, that shows their character." Come on now, your statement is a logical fallacy. Get real.

  • You come on here and criticize potheads for calling others name and yet you do the very same thing. hypocrisy. grow up

  • BULLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think this is just fine and should have happened years ago. I also found the rehab ad funny.

  • Oh I love the drug rehab ad on this video page. Anyone else?

  • We do waste billions of dollars every year on the so called "Drug War".

Pot should be the least of our worries since its the most benign drug on our planet.

BTW legalized drugs kill more people every year than the illegal ones.

  • Wow this is a great step.

  • Watch the twinkies dude.

  • What the fuck are you on about?

  • I know my nephews are jumpin up and down on this one. I just wonder what this leads to, thats all.

  • We shall find out.

  • It'll probably "lead to" a massive rebound smoke-fest country wide, which will last about a month.

Then people will get bored and realize its no fun all the time, go back to work as usual, and smoke on the weekends now and then when they need to relax.

Thats about it. Since one can't even overdose on marijuana, I'm pretty sure that and bad pranks are all that will happen.

  • Why don't they just legalize drugs so we can get rid of the goddamn gangs already.

Money saved from non-enforcement/incarceration + money made from tax revenue = 100's of billions

  • Because, drug dealers and law enforcement benefit from the drugs being illegal.

  • Sure, they play a role, but it's mostly because the elite fears that their workers will be more fucked up and thus will reduce the amount of capital produced.

Drugs are a threat to capitalism

But mostly, no administration wants to commit political suicide.

  • Elites don't fear anything except that some day, the people might wake up, but i don't see that happening any time soon.

  • Which drugs? Just pot? Crack? Meth? Coke? Who decides?

  • All drugs should be legal for adults, just like alcohol.

  • I believe that adults need to be free to make their own choices about their own lives.

42,000 people die a year in auto accidentsis the USA, should we make driving without a good reason a crime? It would save lives wouldn't it?

  • I believe that adults should make their own choices about what they want. Why do you think you know what's best for everyone?

  • Prohibition, of any kind, leads to black market and gang activity. Alcohol prohibition created the mobs, as they were. Guys in cars with tommy guns shooting things up, that was a product of prohibition.

The same with drugs. Legalize and regulate them, and the street product becomes vastly more expensive and unattainable by the common person. Thats why drug use is down in countries that don't bother villifying them.

  • It's all fun and games until some wacked out kid kills a family of 4 in a car accident, or worse yet, YOUR FAMILY.....and he has cannabis in his system.

  • Yeah... because weed is far more dangerous than the perfectly legal alcohol.

  • No. You're the idiot. Apparently others agree.

  • by that premise, why haven't they outlawed alcohol yet then?

  • So, mjnr7777, why don't we ban alcohol too to prevent drunk driving accidents? Oh yeah - we tried that. Fucktard.

  • Tell ya what dipstick.....if you live in the Chicago area, send me a message. The next time I have to make notification to a family at 4 AM, and tell them that a loved one was killed by a DUI/ Drugged driver, I'll take you along so you can see what happens in the real world. Pull your head out of your ass....or the bong in your case.

  • And how many of these DUI/Drugged drivers were on marijuana alone? I'll bet it was about......none!

  • I know of 1.....should get out of IL DOC next year after serving 7 yaers for Reckless Homicide. I'm sure his attitude towards WEED has changed.

  • I agree with EVERYONE on here. You are an idiot. Do you realize how much of a hypocritical douche you are revealing yourself to be?

  • Whatever jerk-off.

  • lol dont get mad at me. You're doing it to yourself

  • There are laws that deal with people who drive under the influence. There's no justification for someone driving under the influence. But to say more laws will stop DUI's is naive. Only in a truly free society to people have the choice to use drugs.

  • Thats right, throw out some fear mongering. Not like families aren't brutally wiped out by DRUNKS already. I'd long want a cannabis driver on the road before a drunk, because it doesn't completely impair the person physically like alcohol does.

But hey, if you want to throw in a rude gesture about killing some strangers family, go for it.

  • Drinking alcohol is doing drugs you fucking moron. Alcohol is a drug. Drugs have been around longer than our culture has. If they were going to change anything, it would have happened by now. Why don't you worry about yourself before telling other people how to live in their own homes and how to treat their own body? Fuck off.

  • You are an idiot. I have not said either way what I stand for, so shove your tude where the your boyfriend shines. Tard!

  • When 'crack' was made illegal, the street stuff became 'mass produced' and its street value plummeted. Before, when it was legal, it was covered by drug regulations. Illegal, there ARE NO regulations.

Legal is always better in the case of what individuals do to themselves... yes, even crack included. Not that I'd ever touch the stuff, yeesh...

  • This could be an irreversible policy. With the correct investments a strong lobying group could take hold. I mean come on, how much money does america spend on cannabis annually?

  • The Gov can shove there laws up there ass. The Punks Liars & Thieves of the Republic have been the Nazi's. Your fucking priest of darkness Obama serves Horus the Egyptian god most all upper level freaks are Satanist. You fucking fools that bought into yet another Bloodline Boob of the Royal Family of deception like your education America was sacrificed long ago. The wars were a lie the bailouts are a lie the Gov are liars the people have no compass or values GAME OVER

    press restart to continue.

  • WarDogLRS well put

  • Horus...?

OMG, I laughed so hard. First he's a Kenyan witch doctor, now he's a cult priest of Horus. The conspiracies get better and better as they mutate over time... sort of like your friendly neighborhood virus, every year a new strain.

  • Horus is the Egyptian God that has the exact same story as Jesus and a handful of other pre-christian solar Messiahs

  • gratefuldad420 I think the Pres should make weed legal and we can all quit work and get high every fucking day. LOL

  • Drugs don't make you stupid lack of education does..

Don't worry I think he's a poe on your side anyhow

  • Lazy, you hurt the process of legalization with your idiotic comments.

How are you going to afford pot if you quit work to get hi?

I'm a smoker and I know thats not ever going to happen.

Perhaps you were just trying to make people that use marijuana as medication look lazy and stupid.

  • Any real conservative can see how this is a good thing. Seriously we can't afford to spend over 3 trillion dollars a year on this war on sick American citizens.

  • So you think legalizing pot will end all our financial woes? HAHA! Do you really think it would even make a dent?

  • Well let's see mr. dipshit... many analysts including harvard professors think it could make a dent. When we spend roughly 200 billion a year on pot from the black market, then you look at the trillions we spend incarcerating non violent drug offenders and enforcing the draconian drug laws, .....um yes! It would make a huge dent!

  • I can see how it could be a very small dent. But the money saved would be allocated to other parts of the drug war or the foreign wars.

We can legalize all the industries we want at this point, there is no saving the phony economy.

  • The dent would be much larger if drugs in general were decriminalized and all the funds were channeled into prevention, rehab and community services. Just look at Portugal.

  • seriously its 3 trillion dollars a year to keep pot illegal

  • Right, but the economy is a phony one propped up by fiat money and debt. There is no saving it. It will continuously go into recessions until the dollar fails. We can spend 3 trillion on a drug war because we never had that much to begin with. I believe marijuana should be legal because its not the governments role to say what we can and can not smoke or grow in our own homes. I'm afraid if it is legal it will be insanely taxed like alcohol and cigarettes are now.

  • I never put anyone down for not smoking pot. Your argument is fallacious.

You do know its illegal for people to smoke pot and its a prison sentence, so If a few recreational marijuana smokers are a bit upset about it, and use vulgarity in their comments I think its totally understandable because the law is total fascism.

Who wouldn't be upset at all the money we are wasting, with no respect for the American citizens you maliciously call pot heads?

  • Gee... you aren't biased are you? lol

If you read the threads, you will see that it is most often a non-smoker who turns to name calling. When they can't back up their argument with science, they resort to playground rules.

You act like a bigot. You judge over 25 million americans with your blanket statements about potheads. Yes 25 million Americans have smoked pot this year son.

There are ignorant name callers who drink alcohol and smoke tobacco too but I don't see you picking on them!

  • smartkart, another hate filled bigoted comment and no reply to the responses? Youre nothing but a drive by troll hurling insults at people with no cause or debate. You're screaming at the mirror. Get a life

  • Drive by troll? Hahaha that's awesome.

    On a related note:

    Hello, I'm NORML.

    YES WE CANNABIS!

  • "So you think legalizing pot will end all our financial woes?"

No but it would help. Just think about 3 trillion a year and you tell yourself Legalizing just pot isn't worth it.

Oh then we would even have room in prison for all the pedophiles and rapists Yippee!

  • Freedom wins again.

  • Conservatives are supposed to be looking to save money right? They should be happy about this because the cost of trying to enforce it, including the jailing of citizens costs too much of the taxpayer money.

Have you ever seen the movie Refer Madness? That is the reason why marijuana became the 'dangerous substance' they painted it to be. When the hippies used it in the 60's, their liberal ideologies were anti-government.. governments response: criminalize it more

    Lets criminalize coffee next?

  • You made an entire comment about Reefer Madness and couldn't even spell it correctly! HAHA!

  • if i spent my days scanning youtube comments trying to correct peoples spelling, i'd seriously consider my goals in life to be a failure.

I guess i spelled 'REEFER madness' wrong, because I usually use the word refer, and hardly ever bother to think about reefer. I don't smoke 'REEFER', nor have i *refered* to it as such...

Please don't waste your time with stupid replies, it insults you more than anyone else. But hey, if ur goal is to correct peoples spelling, go become an english teacher

  • Oh and before we have any other brilliant spell checkers in here, Yes i realize I even spelled REFERRED wrong... i type faster than i review, so please don't waste your time trying to inform me of this

  • You sound like a real moron. Typical of potheads.

  • I don't understand why Republicans are so bothered by this, aren't they the ones constantly crying about needing more States' Rights?

  • and they're supposed to be the ones saving people so much money.

Whenever a kid gets stopped in the streets by police, the police will use this marijuana as an excuse to throw 'em in the bing, unless they instantly remember something about a crime someone else committed to help them with bigger cases. This snitching mechanism was useful for a while, but now its way out of control.

Alcohol is much more dangerous a drug than marijuana, yet criminalizing that didn't work too well for them

  • This is an excellent first step towards legalization.

When it is financially beneficial for the government to make it legal, thats when it will be.

This is basically the government saying, we can't afford to do this anymore, we need to convince them they can't afford to prosecute anyone for weed.

  • Look Everyone... Grow up and put away the alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, prescription drugs, food & sex before you spew your simple, idiotic, warped views on others. Funny how we're the ones who use cannabis and you're the ones who don't have a clue.

  • this is a excellent start for the patients now it is left up to the state wich is were it should be medical marijuana is th way to go it keeps me alive with no unwanted side effects

  • Banning a plant that is natural to the earth & putting people in jail for possessing it is bullshit. This is one of the most tyrannical laws in the world. This means nothing to me.

  • i think if you can grow a plant yourself, you should be able to eat it, smoke it, or otherwise consume it, as long as you don't hurt anyone else. selling it should be illegal.

  • as long as water is still sold [a ridiculous concept that m mind will never wrap around], this whole thing will just continue to be out of whack!:;^P food and medicine should NOT cost a thing....

  • if pot had been legal for medicine in kansas my niece wouldn't have died in pain at 3 years old from cancer - the morphine, nausea, and chemo wouldn't have destroyed her appetite, and she may have been able to leave for years.

  • fuck the laws!! they are against the constitution!! AND NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!! you dont get to tell people how to live their lives dipshit! you are they type that beleives in the government takin care of you from cradel to grave!! to be there all the time to tell you what to do.. because you dont have the ability to think on your own anymore! you just like to do what you are told to do.. so here is something for you to do.. FUCK OFF !!

  • and your problem with smoking marijuana is...? any good reasons? are you also an anti-alcohol warrior? pro prohibition? anti pleasure of any sort? puritanical ideals have perhaps corrupted your mind.

  • Ah, so because some people are abusing the law we should punish the thousands who have legit medical disorders? That makes sense, maybe we should kill off all the niggers because some of them are criminals!

  • guess what? you're on it.

  • Funny, my 10 y o daughter has been on the honor role for over 3 years, won 1st & 2nd places in 2 golf tournaments, is a model, has been on stage 6 times in front of over 5,000 people, is loved by everyone, now a model, I get complimented by complete strangers all the time on her manners, etc. And I'm a SINGLE dad who LEGALLY smokesevery day for decades now. I also used to be a cop & have a sparkling clean 33 year old license. So your theory and ignorant, hateful words are just total bullshit.

  • Typical total ignorance... this helps the economy by saving tax money spent on arresting and prosecuting responsible users and patients, it is a health issue as it works better than any pills my drug-dealing doctor pushes and it is a step in ending the war on our own citizens. Wake up! (and it's "YOU'RE the man. At least us users know proper English)

  • But you don't know proper punctuation, eh?

  • if they'd go ahead and just make it as legal as alcohol it would revamp USA's economy like crazy, for one: everybody would getting it and they would also cause the crime rate to go down, because everyone would be mellowed out, for two: food sells would dramatically increase from the munchies...... it's WAY SAFER THAN ALCOHOL-- duh... it's stupid that it illegal--- it doesn't even have to be smoked to be used so it's even environmentally safe-- they can bring back the hemp industry too and should

  • Wow - what a victory for Conservatives ... I was a Ron Paul supporter & this is what we have been praying for for some time - AT LAST A RECOGNITION OF STATE LAW!!

  • This is great news! Especially when DA Cooley said he was going to prosecute all medical marijuana dispensaries in California. And now, by law he cannot!

I consider this a major victory, but the fight to legalize and regulate it is not over.

    Don't give up the fight.

  • Nobody should be thinking this is a victory of any sort. Rather, lip service to social liberals. As long as there federal drug laws federal agents have the constitutional right to enforce those laws. So the raids will continue, people will still get arrested and product will still be stolen. Right now the DEA is gearing up and have been pushing propaganda at full force. These dispensaries are a thorn in their side. And what the DEA wants, the DEA gets.
