@colliric that's not a huge surprise. often developers will start with music that already exists in order to get the feel that they want. usually original music isn't made until further on in the development process.

people who talk graphics really just don't know shit about them at all. if it wasn't for PC hardware, the PS3 and 360 wouldn't even have the capacity and room for them. do graphics have to really be all about looking the best? what about graphics actually being some sort of art creation. what about cel shaded like in Zelda: Wind Waker. what about hand-drawn like in Street Fighter IV. limitation to hardware doesn't mean anything. the Wii is about game play, not graphics. and gameplay > graphics.

why would in 'pure graphics' would pc be 2nd to ps3 even tho pc tech is halted because of the console gen the PC has the capability to push games out at considerably higher Res and AA levels then the PS3 and X360 can dream of.

Wow you are retarded. Xbox has MS 1.0 with HD 720p support. Wii has no shader models and because it's CPU is so slow Wii can't render af amazing graphics as original xbox. Wii does not even have HD support. And don't get me started about Xbox 360!!!!!!!!!!!!

The original xbox was the most powerful system last gen. The Wii is not capable of graphics like the 360 is, because the Wii has about the same hardware as the original xbox did.

@Nsp0lak this is a common misconception ps3 is capable of handling higher res textures due to less limits in the bluray format however! the ps3 GPU is based on very old tech so any game engine that is coded to take advantage of the GPU more than the CPU the ps3 will come of 2nd best. however a 1st party dev team can do wounder by shifting most of the computational work off to the cell however most 3rd party dev teams cant afford to dedicate a whole team for the ps3

Is far better in XBOX360 than in XBOX alone. In 360 has same shader power than a PC and that means the right cool graphics we are used to since the Pixel Shader 3.0 revolution.

@halofan676 This was a pre-release version, they ended up porting it/remaking it for the PS3/Xbox 360 since the original xbox was being phased out and getting less and less popular. This was real, but is now the Dead Space everbody knows.

The Wii's graphics don't support shader models like the original Xbox, so the graphics would be down graded if it was ported onto Wii.

Actually, it was because EA didn't want to give Visceral Games some 360/PS3 devkits, because they weren't conviced of the concept. They had to develop a prototype on Xbox 1 devkits to convince EA.

It annoys me to watch this and then watch DS:E, no offence to the devs, but why did they take the easy way out? I believe that every Dead Space fan, would've preferred this over a rail shooter uhhh. @SonicXmario50 It was a time issue. It's a LOT easier to make a rail shooter than a full featured 3rd person adventure/shooter/whatever. Making Extraction a rail shooter was the only way to meet the deadline, they wanted it on retail shelves while the DS1 iron was still relatively hot.

They should be making this for the Wii not some lame rail shooter. Wii can certainly do bump mapping and normal mapping (Gladiator AD), bloom (Zelda: Twilight Princess), self shadowing (Overlord Dark Legend, Stat Wars Rebel Strike) which were central to Dead Spaces visuals to generate a atmosphere. Also imagine how dismemberment would benefit from the remotes pointer precision.
