Some jumps are too big for the horse and rider to withstand. Thats why you practice the course first

I have a friend at the barn, she was doing trail, the horse didn't like a basket, the horse started runing and bucking and acting like a retard when she fell off. Right on top of the jump. I'm not sure, but I think she stradled the pole and then hit part of the jump standard!

I hope the rider from 1:16 wasn't jumping, you should NEVER, under any circumstances, use a standing martingale for jumping. They are too restrictive and prevent the horse from using its head and neck for balance.

i love riding and especially jumping but i dont think that we should push our horses to do such large jumps unless they feel confident because they were made for this they were made to run free but i wouldent give riding up for the world

I like 1:50 because if people want to use horses as bucking broncos and not as being nice and riding the jumps, then that is what happens to them when the horse HATES what they are doing. And I think "Good for that horse!"

just for general knowledge a horse in normal amount of work can generally carry 20% percent of their weight. Horses are bred to be able to pull and carry a large amount of weight (image knights with their armor/saddle that's a LOT of weight). So a normal size 1200 pound quarter horse can EASILY carry a 240 pound person for an extended amount of time.

Last year I was riding a 15.3hh thoroughbred gelding and he spooked at some cows and reared with me on him. He just went a bit too high and fell over backwards on top of me. He landed squarely on me and then tried to get up, luckily he stood up to the right and I managed to shuffle to the left and then get up and run lol. I was perfectly fine, not even any bruises!! He had a sore back though.

My horse has a very bad habit of rearing and 3 weeks ago we were standing still being perfect on the bridle and everything, then he reared up for no reason and flipped on top of me. I was ok because i had my jumping vest on. I luckly only had a bruised tailbone and whole right side of my body especdially my leg.
