  • That thing about two different worlds, you hit a spot with that one. I know exactly what you mean, I even feel strange for a day,out of place or something, mostly when I'm home. Maybe getting my sea legs back, so to speak. In the truck you see things go by you, at home you go by things,on the road everything is on a timer, at home time is everything. On the road you don't know where you are going to be or sleep or eat till you get there. At home you are always there.

  • I pulled out into a parade in a town, with the flames on my truck and the lowboy, people thought I was part of the parade, got right through town quick. Did alot of waving and smiling.

  • Vince, really enjoy your videos. The music and editing are really cool. You haven't posted anything for awhile. Hope all is well.

  • so what end up being the problem with the airbags

  • are roundabouts/turnabouts so rare in the US?

  • @WNxRadeon Not in the northeast. Now they are on a kick of building cute little tiny ones in towns, with granite curbs and brick, roads are getting smaller, trucks bigger. They don't take into account lowbeds. I was in a town,I think in NY it had raised crosswalks, they doubled as speed bumps, what are the engineers thinking? Snowplows, lowbeds, sports cars?

  • @ihop54 i know what you mean, same over here in europe.

I am a truck driver myself and I also have a lowered car. The civil engineers won't think about things like that because all they care about is making money and doing it fast.

  • Vince as you give us commentary, take some of the focus off you and let us see the road ahead, and hear your explantion, and cut back on that loud music some. The Vid becomes more informational and we can use in the classroom. The sights, sound, and motor, and gear shift of the trucks gears.

  • A lot of people who are not fond of the road like I am ask me why I don't get tired of being on the road for so long and my response is;"you got to have the road enthusiasm in you" I'm going back on a road trip across America very soon, and I'm so excited I just can't wait.I hate airports preferring to drive rather than fly.you have more privacy and can stop for breaks whenever you feel like it,and you don't have to be around strangers packed in a plane like sardines.

  • Hottie....

  • Where are you trucking right now ?

  • Video would be great if we could have less music and more video of the road and commentary on the truck and view of the highway. Thanks

  • what company do you work for?

  • god bless you, when u guys talk about making the paperwork what do you mean by it, checking off meeting goals, time, loads,?? whats the paperwork about?

  • nice truck kenworth are my fav

  • WIthout good people like you delivering everything the citizens of america need, there would be no america. The following stories stories are at Yahoo Contributor Network: On the Road for America: Sunshine and Night Walker; On the Road for America: 9/11 Story; Life on the Road for America. Truck driving is really something important. In 2004 I made those interviews and got three nice stories. All at OBT Truck Stop in FL.

  • ur right!!! u dont know if ur a bitch or a slut!! go here bitch!! or do i sit home n jerk my cok

  • Man this guy is better than that swift. Driver big cat i think. Big cat is not even. A trucker

  • lol you sould of pick my gf up while u was in high point jk jk

  • nice vid greetings from Germany

  • Why truckers don't pay taxes? $60,000 a year to be undereducated. Wow.

  • @redviper2GAMER What the fuck are you talking about truckers don't pay taxes? Owner Operaters Don't pay taxes right away but they do when taxes season does, but company drivers pay taxes every week. And where do you get this undereducated bullshit? Most truckers are very intelligent, do you have any idea what it takes to operate a truck. Trip planning, time managment, safety codes and proceedures. You don't know shit so shut the fuck up until you do.

  • high point whoooooot!!!!!

  • Да.

  • Uneducated jobs. Put gas in truck and drive. Payday is no fun when gas prices are so high more stupid a trucker ask why. Once again a trucker wonders why it must keep on trucking. They stink but if gas is to much walk. Truckers carry expensive loads from manufactures that they can't offord or have nothing to do with. They drive expensive machinery down the road built by factories like Peterbuilt a new truck. Some days trucker will retire sad and to pasture welcome new trucker.

  • @xoxoxoxo3071 What's interesting is that if it weren't for truck drivers, you would have nothing. No food, no supplies, nothing! If truckers are so "uneducated," I'd like to know exactly where you went to school. Your wonderful spelling and lack of punctuation screams "uneducated."

  • @xoxoxoxo3071

I bet these "uneducated jobs" make people more money than a normal job.And if u class people according to the type of job they do, I feel sorry you, cause u will die (and everyone will) a tired, lonely and hate filled individual.

  • @xoxoxoxo3071 You are a worthless human being and ignorant on top of that. It makes me frustrated to think that my friends and I defend people like you. You and your stupid train of thought is what is wrong with America. You think your better then a truck driver because you make more, then tell all truckers to stop driving and then you can eat you fucking money since the store and restaurants won't have anything in them.... you idiots deserve nothing.

  • hi jaurney95 nice great video ! let me knw when you cam to Ny.Ny Ok lolahahah.

  • what do you think about dropping out of highschool to become a truck driver?

  • @blakasassin1

Well I'm not a truck driver (in fact I don't even have a job right now), but I would highly recommend finishing high school or earning a GED (personally I have a GED -- long story). In any case, you can't truck until you're at least 21 so you might as well finish secondary school in the meantime.

  • Good quality trucker video

  • Nice truck, I love those T-660s. If I was going over the road, that would be my first choice.

  • That was well done.

I had a broadcasting class in school, nice job on your video.

  • Hey Vince, what was the problem with the airbags, you didnt tell what was wrong with'em. Just crappy connection on the leveling soloeniods? Love to know what your remedy was to get them to work! Thanks BRBT

  • Breaker breaker horndog, anybody got your ears on?

    Yoo hoo!

Don't be shy boys I'm freakier then a lot lizard and I like to show my boobs!, over

This is Loose Lucy lookin for a rag chew with a sexy trucker man

  • Cool video, thanks for putting up.

  • Regarding hometime: Sometimes it's nice to take timeoff in another town. Rent a car, go to the beach, an event, etc.

  • Omg my name is vince and I'm thinking about being a trucker

  • i lik this vdo :)

  • @curiousboyful hes a company driver they pay for his credit card

  • What ended up being the trouble with the air bags?

  • @FriPilot I was curious about this too. I'm not familiar with the 660.

  • are you a owner operator or company driver?

  • Is that Eisenhower at the end? The double yellow makes me doubt it, but it looks very familiar. Nice vid.

  • When i was in tenneesee and other states with moutains i notice trucks with hazards on going up and down moutains at certain speeds why is that? is it cause of the trailer load?

  • @BYOB561 its to let others on the road that they are going slower than others

  • @curiousboyful just going up and down the moutains pretty much.

  • @BYOB561 "4-ways", as there called by truckers since they are visible from all 4 sides, are used to warn motorists that the truck is going much slower than the max speed limit. usually 20 mph less than the posted truck speed limit, I like to turn mine on. It gives people a heads up so they won't space out and hit the truck.

  • @alpineace2003 Ok so thats just going up and down the moutains pretty much.

  • hey, cool video. one day i bet you have a tv series "Journey95" keep making more videos.

  • always wanted to try this for a year or two. cheers man cool videos

  • @robertjohnson487 Without trucks you would never get food to eat or that nice computer you are typing from.. We need trucks on the road for the US to stay up and running..

  • @mevfd17 i agree with you.

  • hey man, i live in somerset ky. only thing about hwy 80 i hate is the freaking hills lol

  • what kind of video setup do you have? type of camera and stand and such?

  • i really like the piano music... what is it?

  • @stacylilica...Stevens are like navy blue i used to think they were black myself til i saw one up close

  • @TxStYlE4AwHiLe good point but if you watch another few episodes in he passes another stevens truck and he plays him passing it a few times.. lol it's not a big deal i was just curious, was considering applying for stevens myself they seem like a good company

  • hmm Black KW and a reefer trailer. Stevens?

  • i live in thomasville NC :) im currently in Evanston WY tho im trying to get to C.R. Englands trucking school in SLC =)

  • My names alan. im 18 and ever since i was in diapers ive wanted to be an over the road trucker. i love trucks and i love travelling. i was wondering if you or anyone has any advice to give me about how i could one day enter this profession. very cool vid, by the way!

  • zz top, a mean mullet, a peterbilt and a trucker hat thats all you need

  • Nice vid. I know exactly what your talking about when you say getting back out is a transition. Specially if your off more than two days. Strange as it may sound to someone who has never done the job but sometimes being home too long is just as bad as wanting to go home. You just gotta go!

  • @truckindawg1 Very True

  • @truckindawg1 I agree

  • why would someone click the dislike button for this video?? must of been some stupid little kid lol!

  • Hi,greetings from Cracow,Poland.

  • @JanAugustyn Hello Cracow,Poland

  • Great Job man, Sub!

  • Sadly I will probably never be driving again, but by watching your videos I can re-live some great memories of the open road. I get such a kick out of hearing you and listening to your thoughts because it sounds so familiar to me. Thanks a million for all you do and God bless

  • @missthelang Thanks for the comment Take Care.

  • Enjoy your honesty about life on the road. I have been away from it for 11 years.. not much has changed. I miss the driving all night listening to radio... dont miss anything else however.

  • i non stop always think of your intro lol

  • so how does this whole truck driving thing work? do u just drive until u get and drop off ur load? do u sleep in the truck or do they ( employer) flip the bill for a hotel? the reason i ask is because im thinking of becoming a trucker

  • if a truck company asks for verifiable driving experience do they can i still lie about my experience? will they still check it?

  • This is the type of life I may go back to someday! I'm a trucker taking a break & it will always be in my blood!

  • @ruralsafety1 I am the same was. I'm leaving next week for the first time since 2007.

  • dude. how do you like the automatic? Must be strange.. I used to drive and of course always had a ten speed or more

  • lame...

  • Well done! Great editing. For once I didn't get motion sickness watching someone's work.

  • LOL! Great video, Bowling Green is my hometown. :) Thumbs Up.

  • The King of Interstate 10, TEXAS

  • howdy, sir. i am currently about to start my first day of driving training, and hopefully within a month or so i will be out on the road earning my keep as well. any advice for a newbie?

  • I went to Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, NC, so I've driven through that turn-about many, many times. It's a nice little community there. I've also had airbag troubles once in my Freightliner Columbia. Unfortunately for me I was unable to fix it myself and had to get towed. I was out of commission for a few days, which is frustrating.

How do you like the auto transmission? I've never driven one in a truck before. Does it drive like a car in that respect?

  • Very interesting and far from "romaticism", thanks for showing us real life on the road, and I bet it's more than just a lifestyle.

I wish you an accident-free job! Thanks man, keep the videos coming!

  • @Johi2410 Thanks for the comment ,Take care.

  • Love your vids man. Very professionally done. Best trucker video series on the web for sure!! Thats awesome you drove through Pinehurst, NC. Thats where I live, actually right near that damn turn circle LOL. Thanks Again for the Videos!

  • Great videos, I've seen a lot more of the country through them than in real life:P

What's the music in the outro? I really dig it and want to hear the full song.

  • would like to have a go at trucking America, to scared to fly over there tho lol. I miss trucking, great vid from the cab.

  • Vince - can you post the music list? @4:30 and 6:10 particularly. Thanks

  • Music list?

  • Just watched this video, and Im very impressed by your narration, and mixture of truck and scenery shots, you got the mixture just right so far as Im concerned, but your narration skills kept my interest in the film.

All in all complete with your chosen music I thought you made an excellent job of making this film. You obviously pay attention to detail, and I daresay you make a damn good truck driver too.

Take care on the roads - Greetings and thumbs up from England :-)

  • awesome vids man

  • Vince,

By far one of your best. I like them all, but this one really stands out. Well done. Thanks for your hard work.

  • I have watched videos 7 to 13 (going to see #1). All give me a good idea of what you truck drivers have to deal with every day. And keeping up with shipment times to warehouses. You provide humor during the clips. Your camera angles are very good--you had to be influenced by the directors of music videos on MTV like Hype Williams, Wayne Isham and Mark Romanek. You show the open road and tell a story about your truck driving in your videos. Thanks for sharing your life on the road to us.

  • Ok vince where oh where is part 13? Please make more vids. By the way I loveeeeeeeee your vids. Your big inspiration to me and so many others. Keep on trucking dude!

  • who films? I notice the camera moving while you are driving. Just curious, great vids, i am a fan.

  • if you look at the other videos of VINCE you can see that is an telescopic arm!

  • Vincint.. thanks for sharing your vids..you do a fantastic job on them..

    Jim

  • Vince, your videos have given me the details of what it is to be a trucker. You are an inspiration to my soul. I retire Feb 2010 and plan to attend a community college for my CDL in VA. I have narrowed my trucking company decision to Werner, J. B. Hunt, Swift, and Prime. I will attend the truck expo in Dallas TX. Who do you drive for and are U an owner operator?

    M Leake

  • thank you, Vince.

  • ok Vince, just finished watching all 11 of your videos again. Now waiting on the 12 episode. Be smart and safe.

  • Vince, these videos are top notch...did you study film making in school? Truly good stuff!

I totally empathize with the living between 2 worlds. I am an airline pilot and I think there's a linear relationship with the number of days I have off and the degree of difficulty in going back to work. Usually takes one ocean crossing for me to get back in the groove of being "on the road again" and living out of a suitcase.

Keep up the great work and I look forward to your next segment!

  • thanks for the comment. I have never studied film making

but have a background in still Photography,

  • great vids im trucker from macedonia i hope 1 day i dill drive accros usa nice job vince

  • love your video's its great seeing all the sites in america im from northern ireland so its nuthin like over your away, keep up the good work, thanx

    Take care!

    Michael from Germany

  • Great one, just like always!

Keep it up and drive safe!

  • Been to High Point several times.. funny you started out there..

  • vince, could you tell me how long (how many days) do you usually drive and then how long are you at home?

I drive for 5 days. mon-fri, and during the weekend I´m at home and then I start again on monday morning or..sunday evening...)(

and I have to say that you are doing great work with vids:)

  • Vince, great videos!! I enjoy them very much. Any advice for someone wanting to get into the business?

    Thanks guy, travel safe!

  • hey man was the name of the song @ 8:48?

  • Thanks for sharing another great video with us Vince. I'm enjoying your series, we get to ride along as you face what the road throws at you.
