i wanted to join the Marines for a long time until i heard about the Rangers. the reason now that i want to join the army instead is becuase rangers get to go to airborne school and jump out of airplanes and thats what ive always wanted to do and the Marines rarley get deployed from the air.

@ThePayton34 hey rangers are some tough shit before you even qualify you have to graduate airborne school then you may be able to go to ranger school maybe but ranger school is hell on earth you will hallucinate literally fall asleep on your feet trek 20 miles carrying 75 pounds of gear while on a time limit go 15 miles through the everglades not to mention everything else not trying to unconvince you but if your only in it because you wanna jump outa planes it isnt for you

@Rava20817 each platoon is given a letter. they go in order bt instead of using the standard american letters, the phonetic (or Nato, military) alphabet. A= Alpha, B= Bravo, C= Charlie, D= Delta, E= Echo, F= Foxtrot, and so on...

Back about 20 years ago, it was common to shower with other guys in school (after gym class), if you played sports, went to gyms, anything. Homophobia changed that.

Army bct is so sad anymore.. I loved how DIs had pretty much free reign over us in 1990 and busted our asses ever minute, running in thunderstorms, shooting in 110 deg. Combat won't stop for stress reasons so get rid of the cards. I am thankful to my DIs and truly appreciate them.

No I am 26 and am 6'1" and now weight 270lbs. When we started I weight 305lbs and could barely do 7 pushups now I can do 40 without stopping and my mile time is down to about 9:35. The Army will take you up till 41..if you think you're out of shape get with your recruiter and he should work with you to get you in shape like mine is.
