  • LADIES AND GENTLEMAN THE MASTER AND LEGEND THAT IS GARY MOORE!!!!!

  • My Goood ! I can't believe I missed this video all these years on Youtube. The late, great Gary Moore on guitar and the legendary Ian Paice on drums. Ian Paice's drum solo here is one of the greatest performances I have ever seen. I found this searching on Gary Moore but in this video he is outplayed by Ian Paice. Respect !

  • @janus1351 Gary Moore isn't outplayed by Ian Paice, because Moore let him play.

  • WINDFINGERS MOORE LEGEND RIP!!!!!

  • THE GENIUS GARY MOORE!!!!!!!

  • Guitarist Ronnie Montrose is claiming that he’s found his beloved 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard that was stolen from a concert stage over 35 years ago, and he’s now suing the guitarist he claims has it – none other than legendary blues guitarist Gary Moore.Montrose, best remembered as a member of the Edgar Winter Group and writer of the songs “Free Ride” and “Frankenstein,” has long held that someone swiped his prized Gibson Les Paul in 1972

  • Phew!

LISTEN TO RITCHIE BLACKMOORE! RICHARD HUGH BLACKMOORE! THEN,REALIZE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM.DON'T TRY TO ALLEGE ANYTHING! BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE RYTHM OF GARY MOORE'S MUSIC IS STOLEN FROM THAT OF BLACKMORE! MEANINGLESS COMPOSITION...NOONE CAN REACH RITCHIE'S LEVEL... IAN PAICE,JON LORD,RITCHIE BLACKMOORE = LEGEND!!!!!

  • Hear the Beck in him absolutely...

  • i actually love ian pace the most on this. that intro.is the shit man!

  • i love gary , but he's been taking from jeff beck for years. we all learn from someone. from colloseum 2 ,back on the streets. the tune would rather bee or a wasp? is a direct homage to beck. listen to 2:06 that's beck influenced by john mclaughlin and jan hammer. still gary did have his own sound. not many could match his intensity and feeling. one of the best.

  • OMG,... what a song,... I'm a drummer and Ian Paice just Rips that tune,... nice solo and Gary and the band is soooo tight,.... thanks for posting!!!!

  • Gary was just simply phenomazing. That is phenominal and amazing put together to describe Gary in one word.

  • Totally Awsome!!

Only the cutter was on drugs, watch the solo, Paice is hitting the cymbals and nothing happens, some seconds later it totally matches again...

  • RIP Gary ...Thanks For the Music...

  • this is pure DRUGS DUDE

    R.I.P

    Gary

  • Awsum post, we need more vidz from this gig, is it available to buy, nice 1.....

  • @paddytaggart The roots of this song can be found on cozy powells "over the top" album on a song called "killer". It featured powell, moore, airey and jack bruce and was appropiately named.

  • @whattamaroon actually hurricane came out on back on the streets which came out in 1978. cozy's album came out in 1979. so that's where it probably came from. either way they are both great.

  • @gmasterg13 oops right you are gmasterg forgot about that one kudos!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beck was actually influenced by Gary. Some of Jeff's recent stuff sounds like Gary's Skid Row.

  • @paigerockson I'm as big a moore fan as the next person but c'mon beck influenced by moore? If your boy paigey had learned to stick to lead instead of tryjn to do both rhythm and lead,he would've been much more enjoyable especially live! And yes I'm a blackmore fan! Let the battle begin!!!!!!! lol

  • @paigerockson

Vice Versa, Gary was influenced by Jeff

  • Sounds a LOT like Jeff Beck....

  • Superb stuff! Cheers for posting. I listened to the Corridors of Power album for the first time recently on Spotify and was blown away, fantastic hard rock album imo with fantastic support from some seriously seasoned musicians. Bit of a shocker re his passing as he wasn't that old and had been relatively healthy by all accounts, ie. wasn't the usual rock star lifestyle of over excess.

  • young Gary :)

  • RIP Gary.

  • What a monster band.

    WoW!!!!!!!

  • according to moore he bought the guitar in a london guitar shop in 1980- 81 whilst out with greg lake.R.ip. gary.

  • Isn't that the salmon strat Billy Gibbons gave him after he got it from Hendrix?

  • R. I. P. Gary... :((

  • Hey Don. Do Not Sey Good Bye Yet...

  • Excellent song with lots of energy, mood, excitement, and dynamics. Ian Paice shows that you don't have to have a massive kit a la Neil Peart (with no disrespect to Mr. Peart) to play an awe-inspiring drum solo. RIP, Gary!

  • AWSOME !!

  • Pretty amazing musac man!

  • This called having fun!!!

  • Vilken energi och vilken fart, ännu ett bevis på Gary Moores storhet. Another proof of Gary's greatness...Amazing musicans Ian Paice, Neil Murray and Don Airey...

  • true talent ull be truly missed from birminham england ...a beautiful guitarist u had skills xxx mwah xxx nuff love

  • Im actually crying writing this, Gary, you ment a lot, Rest In Peace!

  • Rocklegende, voller Klasse! Nicht wie andere Legenden mit 27 gestorben, aber immerhin, so wird jedenfall gemunkelt, doch an eigenem Erbrochenem erstickt. R.I.P.

  • This is what I called a MEGA BAND.

We always gonna love you Gary.

  • great Ian Paice's drum solo ;)

  • R.I.P. Gary--Thank you for all of the great music you and your mates made--

  • in my opinion his best performance....R.I.P.

  • R.I.P. Gary

  • Bye Gary, rest in peace,

  • Paicey owned this.

  • SEE THE PAICE ON THE DRUMS..................

  • Speed is not everything. sometimes less is more. Uncle Keef is not that fast but has more soul.

  • THANKS .

    REGARDS

    GARY

  • This SONG RULES!! Gary is BACK ON THE STREETS again!!!One of my ALL time favorite albums!!! Check out SONG for DONNA a very cool ballad!!!!TOM MORONEY BOSTON!!Simon Phillips on Drums in the studio !!IAN PAICE shown here, one of few DRUMMERS, that can handle music like this live!!

  • keyboards are awful, i've played them the whole time, but they are awful. Fair enough in the early 80s, they were being developed, and people loved fucking around with them, but God, how the guitar kick rules forever. Keyboards are crappy, and sound bloody awful.

    Drum Solo at 3:27!!

  • Get in there. A proper rocking Gazza with his best line up

  • Paicey had put on some serious weight at this time, possibley suffering from Deep Purple withdrawl?

  • great up!!!! thanks!!!!

  • /watch?v=GazzTFxXGeE

I want to see Gary Moore with Rory Gallagher when I come to heaven and Philip Lynott on Bass Singing

  • Dewy Cox!

  • suvi genije!!!

  • having seen ian paice live with deep purple, and believing as a guitarist that neil peart may be the best living drummer, paice is vastly unappreciated. he is phenominal.

again, as a guitar player, speed, in my opinion, not the key to playing great guitar, let alone the blues. otis rush and freddie king are not blazers, but would smoke gary moore. no haters please. if i didn't like gm, i wouldn't be here.

  • @elletsco The flaw in your assessment is that Moore is as tasteful a guitarist as there is. He can play great Blues and Rock. He can shred and he can play beautiful tasty slow stuff. King and Rush are straight Blues players while Moore is Blues Rock. You can't compare them but in my opinion, and I've been a musician for 38 years, Moore is as good a guitarist as anyone outside of Jazz. Check out his playing with BB King on the "Thrill is Gone" live here on You Tube.

  • Awesome performance!

  • thats isn't just a drummer, we are talking about ,ian paice, full stop

  • as far as drummers go, you have to go a very long way to outshine Neil Peart..... as for speed on guitar, Y is EVERYONE SO OBSSESSED WITH PLAYING 100 mph... MAB is RIGHTLY FAST BUT IT SOUNDS CRAP....no feeling.. Gary puts so much feeling into his playing and makes it sound awesome when he does'nt shoot off and burn up the board... A lot of the feeling has been lost in guitar solos due to everyone trying to play at break neck speeds..Give me slow tasty blues riffs any day......!!

  • Gary Moore is the master

  • Gary Moore is so versatile. He even did 2 country and western songs with Skid Row!

Pure genius, all of them. Don Airey always looks so in control, like he's posting a letter. Top man!

  • Great Ian Paice solo!

  • Yeah!!

  • im glad gary and ian got to work together, great talented people.

  • Gary Moore is one of the fastest guitarists. I say this as a huge fan of Yngwie Malmsteen and Michael Angelo Batio. He has a brilliant and unique technique. His right hand (or his picking hand) is phenomenal fast, considering he is naturally left handed, he taught himself to play with his "weaker" hand. His left hand (or his fretting hand) is also phenomenal fast, considering he doesn´t use scalloped frets.

  • @Fotzkopp1980 MAB dosen't use scalloped frets and is STILL faster than than malmsteen

    scalloping is just a preference

  • @Fotzkopp1980

The end of your argument is invalid.

As a fan of Malmsteen you should know HE said it's harder to play with scalloped frets. :D

But i agree he is one EPIC guitarist \m/

  • @Fotzkopp1980 I don't think I've seen anyone pick faster than Gary, except maybe Roy Clark. Oh and some YouTube guy that pretty much just 'picks really really fast'.

  • @Fotzkopp1980 Bullshit You're talking. Sorry. Gary isn't that fast. That's not because of what he's so incredible. He's merging blues and hell of a rock sound and playing. It's like mixing Lemmy's and Dio voice, blues scales and licks and a container of a Red Bull's in the shaker and morph it into a music. This is f...ing awesome. Not his speed. Btw the fastest guitarist that i know was Shawn Lane. No one can be compared.

  • @Rafcyk

Gary Moore can play as fast as any shredder. Listen to "Gary Moore - Live Guitar Solo (White Knuckles) - 23rd May 1983" and then tell me that Gary isn't that fast!!

  • @Rafcyk Shawn Lane is not fast compared to Paul Gilbert and Micheal Angelo Batio, search them up.

  • @MadJack122 Trust me, I know this two men. I play el guitar for about 12yrs now, and haven't seen such speed as Shawn Lane presented.

  • @MadJack122 + Have you heard the name Chris Impellitteri?

  • @Fotzkopp1980 Scalloped FRETBOARD (not frets) does not make you play faster, just gives you better grip when bending strings.

  • @Fotzkopp1980 Yes I have the same opinion. Yngwie is my model, but Gary, like Yngwiemu managed to bring their own bluesy style of play

    es absolutly

  • @Fotzkopp1980 Yes I have the same opinion. Yngwie is my model, but Gary, like Yngwiemu managed to bring their own bluesy style of play.

  • @Fotzkopp1980

Speed by itself means nothing. Gary had more soul than all the other speed devils combined.

In music there are technicians who are flashy and empty, and players who evoke deepl feelings.

    Take your pick...

  • First off gentlemen, if you wanna check out "the roots" of this song. listen to Airey's first notes and then check out the song "killer" from cozy powell's "over the top" album. The song featured powell, moore, airey and Jack bruce, and was very appropiately named.

  • @whattamaroon

Yeah, thats right, and also on this album is a song named "The Loner". Listen to it!

  • @JilValentine1 Great song, The Loner, another of those songs which Beck was influenced by Moore lol

  • sjæfsplaying...

  • Paice said he quitted Moore since the latter always tried to dictate him how and what to play.

  • @gillan5 he quitted?

  • @assfacedfucker

I guess only for D.P. resurrection.

  • @assfacedfucker Who cares? - Can you fire one of the best top three rock drummers of all time? - Jon Lord told on youtoube that Coverdale once fired Paicy from Whitesnake because of his lackluster performances.

Paice definitely IS in the Hallo of Fame for my alltime favourites. Gary Moore is not and Coverdale is not. Period.

  • awesome drum solo

    gr8 gig

  • I love that tuby keyboard sound.

  • Happy Brithday Gary Moore !!! 58 year old :O

  • 100 of 20 !!!! Fantastic !!!!! Thanks Gary Moore & friend'S .

  • Don't get me wrong..I love Ian Paice's drumming...on the song Burn by

Deep Purple you'll find some of the best drumming ever recorded....but I have to say..Drum solos on the whole just bore me..and this is no exception.

The one exception is Cozy Powell's where he included the 1812 Overture..that was brilliant

  • @midnighttilldawn Neil Pearts' drumsolo in the song called YYZ of Rush isn't boring either in my opinion.

  • for any reason the best concerts of all time have always been in germany...
