  • I can't believe I just wasted 3 minutes that I'll never get back.

  • How can you know your beliefs are false?

If you "know" your beliefs to be false, then your beliefs aren't false, they are true, because you are correct.

This guys an idiot. "The disciples knew it for a fact. Everyone else believed in things that weren't facts"

I could say the same thing about anything. I know for a fact that the Earth is 1 second old. Therefore the Earth is 1 second old. That doesn't make it true, ya moron.

This guy needs to learn some logic. His argument is disgusting.

  • and this proofs nothing whats the difference between the myth of Hercules and Jesus they were both called son of god?

  • What a retarded case.

  • hha, love how the ratings bar has been removed.

  • lol how do you deny the disciples were born 80 years after christ historically proven, but as a muslim i believe in jesus i belive in his miracles do i believe he is God no do I believe he is the child of God yes we are all children of God for God loves us more then our mothers, but does God beget, no no no no God is perfect begetting is imperfection don't compare God to an animal, therefore Jesus is not the begotten son of God, a prophet yes and that is what my religion is about, be monotheist.

  • @MohammadMega "lol how do you deny the disciples were born 80 years after christ historically proven"....easlily when you actually study the historical data

  • They had the faith to die for their beliefs.

You don't even have the faith to enable ratings on an internet video sharing site.

    Poor play Christian, Poor play.

  • Ratings disabled for obvious reasons.

  • Do you christians have any proof of the existance of god? Because as an atheist i do not need to disprove God. We are all born atheist. Then, kids learn science, history and math at school which all rely on facts and proofs. So why shouldn't the existance of God be proven too?

  • Ah so the fact that gods like Mithra and Horus had disciples that also testified to their resurrection makes their resurrection claims true as well then. Wait a minute, it also means the story of jesus is plagiarized. Oh hold on a second wouldn't a doctrine also use false yet strong examples to try to convince people of it's claims? Wow this guy loves them kool aids. Not to mention the story of jesus was written 40 to 70 years after the alleged event without contemporay corroborations.

  • @tsunami770 the parallels of mithra and horus to Jesus are quite lacking.... we can discuss further on the topic if you want

  • @treasureinthesnow217 Even if that was true, focusing on the differences in an attempt to somehow legitimize a myth would be analogous to claiming the differences between Superman and Capt. Marvel make one any more real than the other. The story of jesus is no more real than mithra, no more real than horus and in essence believing it alone does not grant it veracity. We've had a couple of thousand years of that myth already.

  • @tsunami770 do you deny Jesus ever existed?....

  • @treasureinthesnow217 I deny there is any real proof of his existance (he flew away) BUT even if he did exist. Even if I concede he did and I am doing so right now for argument's sake... You still have no logical reason or objective evidence to say or imply he was anything more than a man. The case of his divinity would still have to be made.

  • @tsunami770 "I deny there is any real proof of his existance" most New Testament historians would disagree with you"The case of his divinity would still have to be made." ....i agree and we can start with 500 people in a 40 day span claiming to have seen Jesus after his crucifixion

  • @treasureinthesnow217 Don't star this "assertion = truth" thing it just hurts your credibility. I already granted you his existence and you are stuck in a circle there. New Testament historians? that's like saying comic book historians. Too bad those 500 people are fictional characters (names/records?). Don't you understand you cannot make a case with a bible as source? If you could then anyone with the book Harry Potter could claim everything it says in it is true.

  • @tsunami770 "New Testament historians? that's like saying comic book historians."....so a guy like Bart Ehrman( whos not a Christian by the way) is just a "comic book historian"?

  • @treasureinthesnow217 Know what "appeal from authority" is? If he ever claims that jesus came back from the dead then he is probably wrong but you have not made a specific claim from him to study yet, just a name drop. Theist or not. Is he right? State a claim. Opinions do not make him or you or me right. Evidence does. I would accept anything based on emperical data but religion, god and jesus being god/son/spirit are myths who must rest on faith to be accepted. That's ok but not truth.

  • @tsunami770 my objection is not with you denying Christ' divinity (that is for each person to decide on their own)..but rather his existence which is simply intellectually dishonest

  • @treasureinthesnow217 I think you should watch this: /watch?v=RqjB31xiE9k

If you truly think that those 500 people in a 40 day period are convincing evidence, then prepare to believe in Sathya Sai Baba- he has tens of eye witnesses. But, of course, you won't because you just believe in Jesus because you want to. It is as simple as that- all these "arguments" for Jesus' divinity are the same- believe if you want, but stop trying to pretend that you have a compelling case.

  • @LeonhardEuler1 "you won't because you just believe in Jesus because you want to"..... actually i was an agnostic and did not want to believe in Jesus....."then prepare to believe in Sathya Sai Baba- he has tens of eye witnesses" i have looked at sathya sai baba's story and the parallels are quite lacking

  • Let me ask you this......what did jesus do in is life to change anybody's life??! NOTHING....then theres no reason to fight about is he real or is he not real!

  • When muslims are commited enough to a cause to die for it, they "just believe".

When christians are commited enough to a cause to die for it, they "know for a fact" and it somehow validates their belief?

    No

Being close to someone they considered god is not an excuse for the blind following religious thinking inspires. Every suicide cult with a messianic head is tightly knit, and by this guy's logic that validates their claims.

    Complete garbage thinking.

  • what?!

  • pagans and buddhist were killed for their faith ....god's people killed several people willing to die for their faith.

  • How dare he try to use that weak argument! It is sincerely, the most redundant logic I have ever heard. "Do you see the difference, between the disciples and the terrorists?" Well, hell no! D:

  • Truth: The universe has existed before the earth, The stars, they create denser atoms, and from these stars arouse the same matter that makes up our worlds today. A small portion of the dead stars cosmic dust, collected here, and formed earth, And from sheer complexity too much for a single post, arouse our beings. Arouse Humans, who for the lifespan of up to 80 years. Will ponder its own existence. Atoms who have lived Billions of years, for a fraction of a second, will wonder "What am I?"

  • @SongofthePresence

    Stop! Stop!

The religious people are Drulling now

    "Duuuuuuuuhhhhhhh"

its too complicated for their brain!

just say a wizard said "and shall be planet earth with flowers and animals"

and "POOF" at the very moment it poped out from thin air!

  • @jaguar4u2012 That sounds a bit too complicated... I guess God snapped his fingers, and POOF done. There, dumbed down enough?

  • @SongofthePresence

hmmm, I think it is still a little bit dificult for their brain

    less words please

  • @jaguar4u2012 Good r good?

  • @SongofthePresence

    thats better ^^

  • @SongofthePresence This is brilliant :D

  • @b33p3rz Well, its what happens when you listen to Neil Degrasso Tyson. And actually look into the workings of the universe. I mean, theres so much out there we don't understand. And technically I like these religious idiots. Like when they had the "Intelligent Design" It helped science, because we had to debunk EVERYTHING! Which makes us have more information :) Thank 'god' for morons. Well for his morons

  • @SongofthePresence amazing interpretation, brava

  • oh right a small handfull of people say something nearly 2000 years ago serious for fuck sake why are people wasting thier time with pure fucking bullshit come on dont belive in something due to that one small piece of evidence scientific fact needs alot of evidence to be qualified as a theorum and not just a theory and religion isnt even a thery its not based of truth its based on peoples opinion on the world and what does that tell us? if smething doesnt make sence dont fill the gaps with crap

  • has anyone ever thought that the disciples were just as fictional as Jesus? I mean if we are calling into question that Jesus existed can we not also call into question the disciples, seeing as none of them wrote there own gospels. so if that is the case, its not very hard for a fictions character to die for a lie as it were, they really are not losing anything right, but it sure makes a good story dose it not.

  • Hmmm, I don't know. Wasn't it true that millions of Germans were willing to die for the lie of Nazism. It's not the lie, it's how it's packaged and presented. If the "great liar" can make it sound important enough, valuable enough and believable enough, you bet people will be willing to die for it. Hey, I DO get those 72 virgins, right?

  • @warwolfii it's 80 virgins!

  • @vasmediator its 80 grapes

  • There is no damn god. No heaven. No hell. No Jesus. Get over that, stop following these ridiculous rules you believe were set by a god. Enjoy your life how it is, because like it or not each generation is smarter and is beginning to see the truth.

  • @hmeoscar good point!:-) The religions are made to control people(mostly by scaring them about going to hell if they don't obey)and I can't believe people in 21. century still beieve in these nonsence!?!

  • @vasmediator That's out modern definition of most religions, but at their point of conception, they were created to fill the gaps in the unknown - to explain what couldn't be explained through contemporary science, and to give meaning to people's lives and a hope for a life after the one they knew.

Other religions were created for varying reasons, but the majority of ancient religions were based around those points.

  • Assuming the Biblical record is historical in the modern sense of the word. The only texts we have for Jesus rising from the dead are mutually inconsistent and were probably writen long after the fact (no pun intended).

  • "They" believed it themselves, and it was good enough for them. Give me proof, legitimate proof that Jesus/God is real.

If this is what Christians have resorted to to justify their stupid religion, my their god help them.

  • @RequiemFear Jesus (by that I mean some entity,he could also be a Xcyvbrf)) DID exsist but he was an ancient alien who came down to earth from the sky all shiny and bright and people thought he was ''Son of God'' cause they couldn't explain his ''supernatural powers'' and because they couldn't explain the easiest way is to declare him as ''God''! All you have to do is look at ancient Sumerians tablets and you'll get the picture!

  • How do you know for a FACT that god or even Jesus exists? Where is your proof of the "TRUTH"?

  • i am not willing to worship a being that has a personality of megalomaniacal genocidal homophobic paranoid god

  • This guy believes in the divinity of Jesus and he believes that islamic terrorists were responsible for the WTC attacks. Could he be any more gullible?

  • Lee's argument hinges on the Gospels being creditable eye witness testimonies, too bad that no one knows who the authors were and there is strong evidence that the author of the book of Matthew used Homers Epics to form the bulk of his stories which invalidates Mark, Luke & Johns books as it seems that their authors used Matthew's book as their source with varying alterations. In other words, Lee has failed once again.

  • i know for a "fact" that this man is a cunt, or what a fat cunt.

  • I wrote a story about someone dying for a fact (well it was a fact in the story I was writing) therefor my story is true. How do I know? Because I used Christian logic.

  • The bible doesn't actually state that the disciples died for their faith. The only deaths recorded in the bible are those of James and Peter, and neither of those state that recanting would have saved them.

  • But that is a contradiction in itself. The terrorists 'knew the truth' about Mohammad in the same way that you 'know the truth' about Jesus. All your proving is that people can be brainwashed to the point where they will give up their lives for something they perceive as true. And we already knew that...

  • People wake up,use your reason do you really buy this story. The new testament was written many generations after death of christ, and life of jesus is a base on many gods prior jesus, also born on dicember 25 resurected on the 3rd day born of a virgin that heal the sick . Religion is only good for politicians and church officials that will take your money and live at large.

  • Stroebel straight up assumes that what's written in the bible is true, and bases all of his arguments on that assumption. He literally refuses to tackle the most basic atheist response: that there isn't any proof that the bible is true. Stroebel is hands down one of the worst, most vapid defenders of religious belief in general, and christianity in particular. I'm continually amazed that his books and films sell.

  • So Allah is real because of 9/11?

This year in Mexico. A child comitted suicide because he believed that a virgin was going to save her- The story is longer, but has a reason, not good at all, but a reason why he comitted suicide. But the virgin was not true >.<

  • This is all great... if the bible is true...

  • Unfalsifiable claims are awfully convenient are they not? :)

    lol, wanker.

  • The flaw in your argument sir, is that it relies on the Bible being an accurate record of events :)

  • His argument: "These disciples saw him, they thought he was the son of god and died for him. Therefore he truly must have been the son of god!" Except that there have been PLENTY of people in cults that died for their modern day messiah. What, were they all messiah's as well? You don't include those in your bible do you? superstitious uneducated people from 2000 years ago thinking it's the truth, does not make it the truth!

  • So Strobel is the kind that goes: 'I assert that it's true, therefore it must be true'. Did he honestly think that this would convince anyone who is not already a believer? Those people baffle me.

  • the disciples LIED

  • @nsdtr01 the disciples didn't lie, the people who wrote the bible lied. People who don't exist cant lie :P

  • I totally disagree with this analogy. Belief alone is enough. Example. My neighbor complains about my dog barking to much. I come home one night and my dog is dead. I take the dog for autopsy. They say he was fed glass. I automatically "assume" and believe my neighbor killed my dog and am out for revenge. Point is, it is an assumption and could be mistaken but I believe it anyway.

  • Ratings Disabled = Shit Video.

  • No Amount of Faith Can Make Something True

  • @KoolKid5830 "No amount of faith can make something true." I'd give you a million thumbs up if I could. Instead, I can't even give you one LOLRIOT;)

  • @KoolKid5830 extremely well said!!

  • @CanIHazElectro Lol Thanks

  • Gahhhh, I cannot stand Lee Strobel, I'm yet to hear him ever utter ONE statement that is not stupid deluded bullshit. There HAS to be better apologetics out there, but I keep getting sent to this asshole

  • Im having premarital sex, smoking weed, watching porn, gambling, using the bible to wipe my ass and going to church just to get free food. I have good money good food and a good life. All without some invisible guy in the clouds help. Ps here is something to get you pissed....

  • The bible is a book of stories. No, actually fairy tales. Filled with supernatural bullshit, which should be the one and only reason you need to see that the book is a lie. Show me a talking snake. Show me a burning bush. Show me you can drink snake venom, and then heal the sick with a touch. All of thats in the bible. Yet you don't see that in reality. Now christians. Try and put two and two together.

  • Why is it that most theist on YT don't allow ratings of their videos while atheists usually do? Cowards!

  • Comment removed

  • I do not believe in any god. Magic does not exist. If jesus lived, he was just a man. He lived in a superstitious time where people believed all sorts of stupid stuff. It is time for everyone to face the truth. There is no god. When you die, it's all over forever. Grow up.

  • David Koresh died for a lie, and so did his entire cult. Many, many cults in the last century alone have had mass suicides for lies. Dying is EASY. Dying for lies is trivial, especially if you think they are true.

  • so because they died for it, that makes it true? What if the disciples were just being prosecuted and had no choice in the matter of dying?

  • all religions are a lie. there's no evidence that Jesus was the son of god. What makes your lie more believable than the others?

  • that didnt proof that he was the son of god, he just said that the disciples did it because they saw him,

then why do people keep doing it? he long gone to 'heaven' and people say they saw him either they are from 1700's or 2010's, he cant live that long, he never said when he is coming back, and alot of prophets 'predicted' the apocalypse, none of them ever where correct, and there where THOUSANDS of predictions, from PROPHETS who 'saw GOD'

  • Wish I could rate this video down. Vote this comment up if you wanted to vote down this video.

  • @Typhoonbladefist can't.

  • @Grkgermn333 welcome to Christian censorship... there's nothing more abhorent to an open and free society than Fundamentalist Christians...

  • @types10000 I used the word "historical" in it's loosest sense. it does mention real people and places. i certainly didn't mean that it was an accurate portrait of the region. lets just say i wouldn't recommend anyone referencing it for a history paper. i take your point though.

  • Beleiving in the "disciples" does'nt make what they supposively said true.

  • ...And to think, I really thought Strobel was actually going to say something clever here...I guess you live and learn.

  • well once there is historic proof (bible doesnt count) that the deciples as well as jesus existed at all, and in the form the bible describes, i might get his point. But since he uses the bible as a factual document he is in a bad need for a braintransplant yes :)

  • anyone who finds this compelling needs a brain transplant.

  • hahahahahaha X'D this is ridicoulous. people die for stupid shit all the time. this proves nothing. Christians make me laugh so hard. thumbs up if you agree.

  • I "BELIEVE" people don't want to kill people but drunk driver kill thousands every year. You can believe in anything you want bub but that doesn't prove a damn thing.

Learn some science. It's a provable believe.

  • If Mr. Strobel had carried his logic to ANY depth, he'd realize how silly his argument is:

There have been a multitude of religious martyrs who were EYEWITNESSES of their 'messiahs' and were STILL willing to die for their religious beliefs.

The Jonestown massacre is a prime example: even Jim Jones himself claimed to be The Messiah, and died for his belief. By Mr. Strobel's logic, this is strong evidence that Jim Jones was, in fact, the Messiah.

  • I kill babies so they can go to heaven.

  • @IslayaC the word christ is not a name it's a title, meaning the annointed one. it's hebrew translation is masiah (messiah). it was a name given to any man who's followers considered him to be a prophet. the name christos does not denote any particular individual that can be pinned down historically. there were many christ's. no historical texts (outside of the bible) mention anyone called jesus (his actual name).

  • @lordscully

"there were many christ's. no historical texts (outside of the bible)"

    - lol you implied the bible was a historic text

  • Moreover, disabling ratings sort of proves that you don't have much faith that your god will help you getting the desired outcome.

    FAIL^2

  • All right, now will please all christians prove their faith my committing mass suicide?

    Thank you.

  • FAIL

  • Thanks for making the world a dumber place.

  • Yeah, but the problem is that we cannot know if Jesus is real just because it says in the Bible that the disciples knew he was real. We would still have to take a leap of faith and just "believe" without knowing.

  • What the hell is this video meant to do? If it's supposed to convert us it's doing a pissweak job.

    2 big fails:

    1) When will you bible bashers realise that you can't prove the bible is true by using the bible. We atheists don't believe it is true in any way shape or form so arguing for the bible from the bible is wasting your time and ours.

    2) Muslims believe in Jesus, he's one of their prophets. What is this meant to prove to them?

  • haha. what an asshole. he was never atheist.

    christianity=life fail

  • haha epic fail

  • So none of us should Believe because none of us saw him come back to life, otherwise we would become terrorists. I see, thanks for clearing that up.

  • Does anyone fancy living an eternal life with him ?

Personally I'd rather be dead or in Hell and I'm a fukin Christian :(

  • id dieing for the "truth" is such a wonderful thing why is this asshat still alive? Strobel should prove the veracity of his assertion by demonstrating the courage of his convictions.

  • Is this guy for or against Christianity? I can't tell.

  • irrelevant. proving that the bible is true using quotes from the bible is just pure stupidity.

  • They could have totaly believed in Jesus and made up the stuff about him being resurected so it seems more convincing. People do that all the time.

  • Requirements to be the jewish messiah

Be an observant Jewish man descended from the house of King David

Be an ordinary human being (as opposed to the Son of God)

    Bring peace to the world

Gather all Jews back into Israel

Rebuild the ancient Temple in Jerusalem

Unite humanity in the worship of the Jewish God and Torah observance

And will accomplish all of this within his lifetime

  • The one fact I have come to realise over a long period of time, is that it will be the Atheists that go to heaven and all the beleivers will go somewhere else. Why' because God will congratulate us for using our brains. The arrogance and certitude of theists worldwide always leave me dumbfounded.

  • Go die for your religion you ignorant bastard

  • Along history people died for many lies: Muslims died for their religion, Hindus for their one, ETC... and similarly many different flavours of heretics died for their one (Note that often they've been killed by chiristians, which were more often murderers than victims!).

Martyrdom doesn't prove truth, but only BLIND FAITH.

  • ....his logic hinges on whether or not the bible stories are true. Yes, the disciples in the bible believed Jesus to be the son of god. But that doesn't mean they even existed.

  • And the number of people (men AND women) who stay in abusive relationships because ( I love them) and they're being abused left and right. Religion is abusive..ie. You're no good till I tell you that you are, and even then you're still no good. You need me to FIX you. etc. its all about money control and power.

  • Still won't live for this...its just a story...from the buy bull....watch this video and see :Noahs ark and the cheetah. I dare you...

  • Nobody alive saw the disciples writing the gospels, or even if the existed.

So, if you were to believe in them, you have no more proof than any other religion.

Stop trying to explain religion with logic: its a mater of faith, either you believe it or you don't. No point in bothering those who don't believe.

  • @AFSRodrigues With that reasoning, we can never believe anything as historical fact beyond one or two generations. Do you know that Caesar crossed the Rubicon, or do you accept it on faith that he did? To an extent, most of what we know about anything that proceeds us by one hundred, two hundred, or two thousand years necessitates a degree of faith, not just matters of "religious" belief.

  • @amkaen I'm more inclined to believe in something I know it's physically possible than something that doesn't follow the laws that govern the world I know.

Besides, you didn't get the point: religion can't be proven because, by its very definition, it transcends this physical world and our perception of it. If you have faith, I think its great, but don't bother those who don't with logical explanations, faith won't come trough logic and reasoning.

  • Bad reasoning makes baby jesus cry :'(

  • This is just bad reasoning. there is just as much historical evidence to believe that Jesus resurrected as there is evidence to the statement that people have seen this resurrection happening, none.

The bible was written years after the situation presumably occurred, its not historic it is mostly mythical folkstale.

  • Somewhere Richard Dawkins is weeping.

  • Proves nothing, some people will die for 'Rock & Roll', or their French Poodle 'Fluffy' ! Many others are willing to drop dead today because of the long lines at the Dept of Motor Vehicles. Your analogies ARE just as pointless as the ones I've just given you.>->->- P.S.- You have no idea what the 911 Terrorists were motivated by, maybe George Bush offered to give their families $13,000.00 for kicking the bucket. People 'die for a lie' every day of the week. YOU ARE AN IDIOT!

  • "I looked throughout history and did not find anyone who knowingly and willingly died for a lie."

    -Lee Strobel

He just contradicted himself when he mentioned 9/11. So, he's saying that indeed, God does not exist. This applies to both Christian and Muslim alike.

  • this is so stupid.

people, who are mistaking believing for knowing

must already be totally retarded, but someone, who tries to

    convince others of that...

    geees,that´s a whole different level.

    i think it´s called dork-sided. :-D lol

  • I am terribly sorry, but your argument is a circular one, and therefor don't prove anything. Your argument are based on the truthfulness of the bible, to prove that the bible is truthful. What you say hinges on the myth that Jesus came back from the dead, and that hinges on if the bible tells the truth, and you can't use one thing to prove the truthfulness of that same thing.

  • That is like saying, "Why are you painting white lines in the middle of the road? To keep the tigers away. But there aren't any tigers round here! Good stuff, isn't it!"

So, the disciples conviction in the bible is not any more of a evidence of God's existense, that the conviction of the fanatics that where involved in the 9/11 attack, is proof of Allah.

  • we dont know the disciples were willing to die for their beliefs

  • I am an open minded modern Christian who thinks this guy has good motivation but is actually a complete idiot. I've watched a few videos and honestly... Proves himself wrong in every one. Don't base judgement off this guys videos go find your own beliefs through your own trials and tribulations in life and stop bashing what others believe.

  • @DjTMB "Don't base judgement off this guys videos go find your own beliefs through your own trials and tribulations"

Debate is important, and ultimately a good thing. Not sure why you have a problem with it.

Besides, he's directly addressing atheists + others so it's only fair if they respond in turn, don't you think?

  • Obvious flaw - maybe the disciples lied.

  • Wow, I haven't read so many immature and irrational comments in one sitting...

  • @JaffarDS So what's your opinion of the video? Also immature and irrational? Just curious.

  • Annoying stuff, if it's a fact, give me the source! can't use the gospels, all 4 have different versions of the resurrection of Jesus, where is the evidence? This man is the one missing the point, by a mile at least, your belief is based on faith just like any other religious beliefs. Using the word 'fact' so many times without stating any is dubious at best.

Seems like someone can't grow out of its childish belief, sad to see him so ignorant about critical thinking.

  • @reisereise69

"all 4 have different versions of the resurrection of Jesus, where is the evidence?"

    Uh, what?

  • The alleged death of unknown persons is supposed to be evidence for my intellectual slavery. When will this religious fraud end?

  • Wait.... Did you even believe that yourself? They are willing to die because they really believed the resurrection of their deity who sacrificed himself to himself to make him forgive his own creation for something done by a woman created from a rib from a man made from dirt, as she was seduced by a talking snake? Yeah, that make total sense. So much more then the other biggots who honestly believe in their deity.

  • I am curious about the justification for not being a Mormon, seeing as how Joseph Smith (not to mention others) died for their "knowledge".

  • Drivel.

  • The Chinese communist teaches their kids that Taiwan is a part of China (PRC). This perspective has been deeply injected into their minds. Chinese youths would even die for the unity of China (China+Taiwan). Now, we know the FACT that Taiwan is not a part of PRC. But these Chinese KNOW that Taiwan is a part of PRC. To outsiders like us, we might be laughing at the Chinese to "know" a fact that is not a fact.

On the other hand, what makes these religious people think they KNOW about Christ?

  • Jesus is with Godot, they both be there in five minutes

  • I dont think this guy knows how logic works.

  • This argument only works if you already believe the bible is true. So whats the point?

  • They might have died for it, but that isn't proof. It only means that they died for it.

  • Where to start...

First off, the Gospels are not eyewitness testimonies. They were written years after the supposed death of Jesus.

Over looking my first point, you are not taking into account mental illness by Jesus' followers, or Jesus tricking them into thinking he was dead and came back, or that the stories were just made up. Remember, they were not written until years after Jesus' death.

  • @jebus6kryst Do you really not think that the fact that Matthew and John were two of Jesus's disciples qualifies their books of the gospel as "firsthand accounts"?

  • Please take a minute and research the author hood of the four gospels. Anyone who thinks they were written by the actual apostles has never researched this subject before.

  • @tamething1 Because the books of Matthew and John are supposedly based on testimony of said disciples does not mean the books themselves were written by them. There is a big difference.

  • logical breakdown in 3.. 2.. 1..

    Contradictory statements within one syllogism:

"people will die for their beliefs if they sincerely believe their beliefs are true"

"people won't die for their beliefs if their beliefs are false"

  • Where do I sign up for ol' jesus? Fuck, Lee. I"m sold now!

  • This guy is actually making the case for why faith is a bad thing.

  • You sicken me.

  • What a shame.... He was doing alright until about 0:55

  • This is retarded. Lee acts like he was an atheist and skeptic. I don't buy it. Besides the New Testament was written 60 to 100 years after Jesus' supposed death and resurrection. Oh, and it wasn't even written by the disciples!!! Not to mention on Jesus' supposed resurrection, all the graves in Israel were said to have opened and people were talking to their dead relatives in the street. If you really CARE about truth, don't watch this clown. He is an attorney, not a biblical historian.

  • as usual.... this only matters if you believe what is written in the bible. Maybe the stories of the disciples dying in the name of their god are just that, stories. Its not a fact that the disciples died for there beliefs since there are no other historical documents to back up the story
