Well, *that's* interesting. I haven't seen much of the anime since I prefer reading manga.

In the manga, Happosai claimed they had a relationship but that he was forced to leave in order to complete his training or something.

According to Cologne, though, he basically pestered her and the other amazons and when she wouldn't date him he got upset, stole a bunch of artifacts, and left.

Cologne's story is treated as the real one, but I always kinda suspected there was more to it then that.
