I hope it happens in 3015 so I won't be alive for this it's scary just let mother nature deal with it because it knows what it's doing!!!! Don't play with real life!
@Julianne1753 Why? It was here long before we were, and it survived the asteroid impact that killed the dinosaurs. Periodic extinctions seem to be "normal" on this planet. Get out of the way of evolution.
@Julianne1753 Humans cant destroy the planet , there is too much rock for us to move. But if we destroyed the biosphere then it would be the "normal" evolution of this planet as we evolved here.
@kaioshy While I do enjoy Mr. Fresco's work, and do agree his designs are indeed beautiful and efficient, these designs are as well, and you would be ignorant and idiotic to assume your closed-minded statements apply to others. :)
@Aaron2071 i can agree that this design is well made as well as it is thought out in fact this design is more or less similar to the green float city that the japanese have been working on for quite sometime. plus i think the world may get over populated soon.
Funny micronesia suffers TODAY from rising sea levels!
The "moron debate" imagines flooding as the only consequence, these poor silly minds just cannot understand that the saltwater destroying fresh water reservoires is a far more urgent problem...
@zenforaday thats what the lilypad does. Its a completely sustainable ecopolis. It has the dual function of offering a solution in response to climate change, as well as not adding to it.
@zenforaday Climate change isn't only due to human activity (while it is a - if not 'the' - major cause) but also due to geostationary changes (e.g. milankovitch cycles). therefore it is not a matter of whether sea levels will rise but how dramatically they will. therefore it is important to come up with solutions NOW for the scenario of significantly rising sea levels
Good luck if your gone in the pacific ocean ...

@astrialkil So you mean that the destruction of the planet caused by humans is something "normal" and a form of evolution???

The biggest joke in the world, just move them to Russia, there's plenty of land there and much more sustainable than this this monstrosity

Oh, great idea. Give us excuses to continue with our global warming-inflicting ways. God damnet, we'll never learn.

Jacque Fresco from The Venus Project has designed much more efficient and beatiful cities 30 years ago.
One star for the lack of criativity and efficience.

Are you one of these climate change denyers??

I think it's a better idea just to control our emissions so that sea levels don't rise in the first place.
