It depends on your state laws. In Florida you don't need a permit to carry an ordinary pocket knife concealed. This might not be ordinary, but you can just make sure the clip shows on the outside of your pocket, and you're find. No permit necessary in Florida. But these types of knives are illegal altogether in almost every state... I'd be willing to bet NJ and MA don't allow them at all.

There were a hundred opportunities for me to get a microtech knife, yet I turned them all down until I was actually at a AUTHORIZED dealer. There are plenty of copy cats.

make sure you are buying a real microtech if you are buying one. if doesn't cost $400 it's probably a fake

You should buy one from a Microtech dealer, which can be found on Microtech's website, or from Microtech themselves. The best knife, IMO, is the double-edged Troodon. They're legal to own in Florida, Ohio and Oregon, but only legal to carry in Florida and Oregon... I'm not sure about your country. If you're Military, EMT or LE, you can buy and carry one anywhere.

make sure its legal to have it imported where ever you live, some countries/provinces made it illegal to have them imported, exported,bought,sold, concealed,and to have possesion of them

Got it at a gun show in the Tampa, FL area. They're not legal everywhere, but they are in Florida.
