as long as you can stand on your feet while shooting i guess it's fine, but a fully automatic gun would most likely knock her backwards when standing like that
She's doing just fine. Posture, grip and all those comments are nonsense. She can fire the gun in the right direction and put enough holes in anyone trying to assault her from a few yards. And that's what counts. I sure wouldn't want to stand in front of the barrel and be mistaken for a bad guy. Don't listen to all the sad losers who think their opinion counts just because they know next to nothing. Even about guns. Take care!
i have the full size AS of that as well. my friend has the QA i love mine way more though. and yeah, they haven't much kick at all. nice guns but on the AS version, the trigger pull can be pretty heavy for immediate fire. the AS is all about precision.
rofl this gun doesnt have any kick at all, i shot it my hand barely even moved i was able to shoot off a whole 10 round clip and i didnt even move my arm *psst i was 9 not fucking 28*
Oh yeah, I doubt you were 9 either, b/c (as I mentioned below), I shoot the P99c QA. ("c" meaning compact.) Since it didn't come out until after '04, it wouldn't be possible for you to have shot it when you were 9. And since the compact has a 3.5" barrel it DOES have more kick than the regular P99, so you wouldn't really know what you are talking about now, would you?
Hello, I dont know of many ppl complaining about it, i suggest you to visit waltherforums dot com. Lots of P99 users up there. Glad to find a P99 user in youtube, there are not many vids on P99. Regards
The only jamming issue i had was using reload ammo from the gun range and the casings not cycling smoothly. Using new ammo cleared up the issue and haven't had a problem since. Make sure gun is well cleaned also
anyone who's curious, the FSL laser kept turning itself on while i was shooting. the kick of the gun did it, so i don't recommend a laser unless it fits down in the bore hole. even then i haven't tried one myself.
i'd change your grip and move your feet into the isoceles
also.. when placing the pistol on the bench, flip the grip over the other way. makes it far easier to visually inspect the breach to ake sure it's clear.. your RO will appreciate it
guys, women tend to lean back because of our center of gravity. we're top-heavy so leaning forward strains our backs and makes our cleavage more prone to keep our arms from coming together, messing up our grip. i love my p99QA, shot it the first couple of times this week and am pretty good with it, going to try with the FSL laser also.
i have small hands and it fits mine fine. it also had an extra backstrap (the back of the grip) that's smaller than the regular one so if you want a smaller grip you can change them out.
Although I never ownned a P99, I had the chance to shoot both the 9mm and .40 caliber versions at our range. They were just great. The ones I stuck to, ultimately, were the Glock 32 in .357 Sig (with a Glock 23 barrel I also could shoot .40 caliber, using the same magazines, loaded with 11 rounds), my Colt Gold Cup MkIV (.45) and Sig Sauer P226 in 9mm. They just had everything I needed for competition, recreation and protection.
If that`s her first session at the range, I think she did very well. Learning how not to flinch comes only with practise and I`m sure she`s got lots of potential. I`m an instructor myself, so please view this as constructive criticism.
Yep, I agree. I used a Colt 45 Gold Cup (`79 model) for combat & target shooting for many years. But if I had to choose only one handgun for protection, I would choose either the Walther P99, Glock 32/23 or the Sig Sauer p226.
You are right, for that, the Glock or the Sig are the best. i used a Glock in the army and i shot sometimes with a Sig Sauer P226. the first pistol i`ve had was a Brünner CZ-75 9mm a good gun too.
Well, Harti45, you certainly know your way around! I couldn`t agree more about the Brunner 75. I used ti do competitive combat shooting with both the Colt 45 and the Brunner 75 and, although the Colt really spoke to my heart, I almost always ended up scoring higher with the Brunner 75 (slightly customised). Superb handgun!
You can tell she is new to operating guns from the way she holds the gun and the way she is she handles the recoil. Also it looks like she tries to fire the gun when the clip is out of ammo.

Most women lean back when they are shooting. I think it has something to do with trying to get away from that recoil! LOL

shooting with the Walther P99 is not easy if you did it the first time, the problem is the long way to pull the trigger.
my Colt45 is much better for that, short way and more power! to see on my other videos;
thanks for your comment;

in austria the CZ-75 is very cheap but it´s good.
later i had a Beretta 92 and a Colt 1911 ( like they had in WW2)and now the P99 and Gold Cup´80s.
