I've made a good pile of leaves under the area where I'm pitching the tent to make it a bit more cushier under the ground tarp where I am going to sleep. hope it helps. :)

Better tie a stick into the line you used to replace the poles or water will run inside. The stick will make it drip off the line before it enters your shelter.
