It's still a ray, versus being a solid substance. Although freezing lava is comparable to bridge making, it isn't the same, as it is limited to horizontal movement, while the foam bridges can be created at any angle.

Actually ammo is unlimited, grenades and the like do have a set number that you increase via secret finds. But gun ammo for all guns is unlimited.

This game is such a rip off of Super Metroid. Theres the double jump, speed boost, missiles, the stackable weapons, starting off with basically nothing and turning into an unstoppable killing machine, and now a rip off of the Ice Beam?

I was joking dude. The original Metroid on the NES invented the formula of starting you off with next to nothing in a massive world, combining the platforming of Mario with the item collection of Zelda. By the end of the game you were unstoppable; with an immense amount of powerups and abilities.

Super Metroid perfected the genre, as did Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It's really great to see that this gameplay hasn't died, and I'm really looking forward to Shadow Complex.
