@Ahntara123 just use organic fertilizer! duh! you can use compost/manure tea or even your own urine. check out your local garden or hydroponic store and ask them if they carry organic fertilizer
I have to agree to some extent with harvey that the narration from the young man in the beginning was so fast and so run together I missed most of it. The requirements of digging up your top soil to lay in the bales is unnecessary as well, though the benefit is that your plants will hold water better the way you have done it, it is not necessary, but a benefit. Otherwise, nicely done.
I'm grateful that you have taken the time and made the effort to post useful information on the web.
The information here is good for rural dwellers who have access to backhoes, but not so good for urban dwellers. The young man's voice is highly nasalized, and his annunciation is so poor as to be irritating. I suggest that you re-do the narration to get the maximum benefit from your efforts.
Use a back-hoe?! Bwaaahahahahaaaa! Um, no.
Also, they do dry out, especially in Summer heat. They need to be watered every-day on hot days. Use it as an excuse to get outside.

Interesting. Wonder what you would do to prepare the bales if you wanted to have an organic garden, forgoing the chemical fertilizer?
