  • Wow, ive been on this road many times as a kid, had no idea it was the world most dangerous road though. I remember when two cars would pass each other one had to get on the verge of the cliff and everyone inside had to move to one side of the car just in case. I remember looking outside the window and not being able to see ground once. Its better now though, theyve made new roads

  • Excelente Documental...Bolivia esta llena de sorpresas!!!

  • The music still plays AFTER the video is over...

  • bahh the road to my school is more scarier ¬¬

  • They were singing a lame song. <_<

  • but...what if a another car comes the other way?...they just gona honk all day

  • they have to pass each other however they can, some times one of them has to back up to a wider area so they can keep going.

  • @Daniel13453 the smaller car gets on the cliff side. Its a very scary and tense moment.

  • @massacrene1 :S

  • all the road needs is a sidewalk

  • if id drive there, 20km/h would be maximum LOL

  • That must suck for the people that are going one way when someone is going the other

  • This is like the Ice Road Truckers in India. Just a little less dangerous, because they're not in a huge truck :P

  • 2:38 2.44 The first factor in the danger equation is Drunk Drivers and Drug Drivers. If you're not drunk or drugged, then any road is navigable if it is legally open for traffic. . Except in Albania. . . Cheers. from, del-boy.
  • The most deaths for any job, so I read, are those lost by the fisherman in the Bearing Sea. Upon viewing this, I would have to say the truck drivers who navigate this road regularly have to come in a close second behind.

  • dont you put the fence on it???

  • @monindier they only drove it?

  • Suddenly I want to play a trading game like Port Royale.

  • Please WRC, make this an official WRC rallye stage, and the rallye fan world will surely see some of the most breathtaking runs ever to be witnessed.

  • Stop putting ads on first :(

  • they couldnt just build a guard rail

  • @BoomGoesThePig They don't have the money.

  • It's so deadly and dangerous, that's why he traveled 60 times over there.

  • imagine driving there at a stormy night

  • .... fly it in, people need to learn to drive before attempting this road... Idiots and extremes don't mix so they to hire people who do this for a living not rookie just got there license that day kinda shit.... bad drivers stay home....

  • Q: Where are the Andies?

A: On the end of your armies.

  • ANY WHERE IN INDIA....I SHIT U NOT.

  • This road has been closed to public transport since 2006. A new 'safer' road has been built. Some retards still use this dangerous road!!

  • the government should make this road safer.

  • been there done that, get a dirt bike and a rain jacket!!

  • @monindier what do you mean by this?

  • government is too stingy to build a rail or an expressway...

  • D - A crazy bus driver

  • Atleast my country has a world famous place lol.... My beautiful country viva Bolivia !

  • @J4DX Yes man !

  • This is indeed the most dangerouns road. I drove it and now I realize it is unique in the world. The view is expectacular. Nature at its best.

It is worth the trip to La Paz, Bolivia.

  • how did top gear fuck this road up you clown

  • Well... if you really hate someone this would be the best place for "foul play." People would never find the body.

  • No doubt at 12,000 feet this is dangerous. However, I would suggest all to also research and travel from Manali to Leh. Just to keep you informed that to go to Leh from Manali you need to cross Khardung La Pass whis is at 17,615 feet.

  • Yungas is one of the most, if not the most dangerous road of the world!! my friends and i would go there every weekend with atvs... don't chicken out and visit this wonderful road, my friend works on a tourist agency i promise you'll have the time of your life:D sorry for my bad english

  • @gercolt Quite useful, the guy would make a fortune out of paper!

  • if i lived there and had to use that road id get a motorcycle

  • So what happened?! Don't just start a fucking story and not finish it! Did the bus and everyone on board plummet to their fiery deaths? wtf is this!

  • why don't they just put a railing on the side, so cars won't go off cliffs

  • @HammadZ90 my guessing is, its a poor country, they don't have the money to do it, cause there is not pavement either

  • @Haulero well i'm affraid you're wrong, there's a new road just above the old one and it took 4 years to design it and a lot of technologywas required as well, so now you can choose to go either by the old road or the new one... sorry for my bad english

  • @HammadZ90 no use now\!!!!! it is only for turist!!!!

  • eu já estive na Bolívia é perfeito para esportes de aventura, ciclismo, montanhismo e por ai vai

  • they should host a rally there lol

  • @supercoolperson14725 there is a rally car race on that road called 'Doble Chulumani", and it is said that you are not considered a "real race car driver" in Bolivia unless you finish the Doble Chulumani. They race it during the rainy season and most of the time there is fog or rain. IT'S NUTS.

  • i dont see why this is danguros. all i see is drivers being careless when there pacing another car comeing the other way and drive off the cliff side.

i think the careless drivers is the cause of death on this road

  • worst site witnessing ppl who actually drive off the clift base

  • 200 deaths per years is more than a death every other day!

  • haha proud to be bolivian, weve got the best drivers in the world, being a third Culture Kid, i can guarantee that it is the hardest place to drive but one of the funnest places to live.

  • I've traveled that road around 10 times O_o. Thank God they made a new one, which is completely safe.

  • 200 deaths per year? That is no record to be proud of. That government should either make it better or chose a better path.

  • I'm gunna longboard that hahaha

  • umm why dont you come and check even the "best" roads in India?...your views might change (if you can call them roads)

  • luckily a new road was built to the yungas which safe :), if you are a traveler you woud enjoy biking down this road. completly breathtaking

  • How can one NOT like this vid...

  • does anyone know where I can purchase this dvd or download the episode please!?

  • i want to mountain bike this road

  • road to Mt Hutt ski field in NZ is similar... scary as shit on a bus lol :)

  • imagine if someone was to crash there O_O

  • There's roads in New Zealand like this. Love driving around there but it's so scary at the same time. Gorgeous though

  • imagine the people who have to earn a living using that road,my heart goes out to them.great vid

  • Highway 1 on the coast of SoCal is pretty scary! Me and family took it from LA to Monterrey last summer. What you see are stunning views of the ocean, mountains, cliffs, and rock matter as you get closer to Monterrey, but you're also driving at a high elevation!

  • @BettiePie Yeah, but you can fit two cars on Highway 1. Yungas is just barely wider than a bus. Highway 1 is spectacular, this looks downright frightening.

  • Alot of the danger would be solved if they just paved it.

  • I almost die there!!! if ur taking that road make sure u do it in your car, or rent 1, don't u ever go in those trucks or bus. I went last year to chulumani from la paz and a rear wheel from the bus just came out when the tire got flat nd the wheel passed in front of my face like a movie i was so scared that when I got off the bus wanted to finish my way walking; I'm glad i can still sleep hugging my teddy bear lol. man this is the perfect road for the movie fast and furious.

  • i would like to drive a Ferrari on this beautiful road

  • wanna laugh a lil bit ????

    ALCOHOL GAY EFFECTS!

    /watch?v=PDCWyg3b9zY

  • las personas que hicieron la carretera fueron prisioneros paraguayos de la guerra del chaco y lo hicieron a plan de picota y pala, murieron muchos en la construccion de la carretera, dicen q

  • @MoscaLaTV ¿realmente? ¿cómo sabe(conoce) usted esto?

  • Fuck that

  • hell yea i would be scare as hell too guatemala have some road like this man i been there i almost got sick lookin down for a long time. the guatemalan one is located from huehuetenanago to soloma and santa eulalia all the way to barillas it is scary just like the in the video it causes a lot death.

  • @dcreto08 hell yea man, i went some two years ago to guatemala and there are many unsafe roads, and to make it more dangerous many people over there like to drive really fast. i was in a bus at night without functioning headlights

  • @elr456 yea man well maybe im gettin used to im going to guatemala next year man i hope to see you there lol hey it was nice comment me back bro. but yes the road are dangerous what of guate did you go?

  • @dcreto08 i went to esquipulas. best place ever!! from there we went back to guatemala city the whole night. it was scary! some of the roads are on the edges of some big falls and there are no freakin guardrails or anything. it looks just like this road and speeding drivers are whats most dangerous. our bus didnt have working headlights and we almost crashed into a "ruletero". but this yungas road looks "evil" i might say lol

  • @elr456 yea man it scary sometime i dont want to go them raod but it the only way you get whatever you going bro thanks for the reply

  • not a chance in hell lol I would never ever ever

  • woahh la pazzz <3 in the yungas is so dangerous i went there but ppl mostly die when its raining because its just a tiny road its scary when u pass throu dere so u just have to pray nothing happens

  • lol i have drive in a road like that in cochabamba (bolivia) xD

  • Jajajajajjajajajajajajajjajaja

  • i wish my mother in law can go there at 120 miles/hr

  • fantatic!! Awesome movie, I really enjoyed it -? definitely worth a watch, the best i've seen in a while now :) One of my top 10 for 2009/2010! I watched it online for fr3e :) at MOVIEPRINCESS[.]com

  • So, what happens when two cars meet head on at one of the parts of the road that are only wide enough for one to pass? I'd hate to be the guy that has to drive in reverse on that vehicular tight-rope for several miles, never mind in a freaking bus.

  • There are special schedules either to go or to come, if u dont know those schedules youd probably have problems

  • Thats not true. All day long is available for both ways.

  • Thats correct, one of them have to put it in reverse and find a spot wide enought for both. Usually the one that goes up the hill have to move backwards. I've been there and its crazy cool. We race Rally National Championships too. How cool is that :)

  • I like how they recreated an non-event.

  • i used to use that road when it was the only road...and yes i was pretty much scary to look over the window...but is really fun to go Biking in this road , not so dangerus cause you dont get so in the side of the road..still i think some tourists died biking..

  • @astarotcito ya because there stupid and go to close to the side of the rode and fall off the cliff

  • Yeah you should try driving there, there is no other side but close to the edge. The road is a car wide only.

  • this road is practically not used by cars anymore, it has been replaced for a few years by a new road that gets to the same place. it's mainly used for downhill mountain bikes now.

  • @pgrundy is this the same road from top gear? because that had a LOT of cars, trucks, buses on it

  • The poster and the anchor of this report is not aware about Bolivia's Capital either.

Bolivia's constitutional capital is Sucre is is in the Southern part of Bolivia. La Paz is The Seat of the Government, it is also called Administrative Capital or De Facto. As you can tell Bolivia is very little known around the world.

  • @HelmetVanga lol ive lived in bolivia for a few years and it is considered to have two capitals... Sucre and La Paz

  • LOL xD

  • Yes but all the Bolivians I've met are talking about La Paz as the "main" capital.

  • I know and its actually sucre man

  • oh come on, what is this competition about?? it shows the real problem: only one thing in one place, not in another. if you want to do something administrative, I mean anything, be prepared to travel to La Paz, so I mean the whole system is just bad... It is unfair for people, especially in a rather poor country!!

  • If they had like $500 Million they could have built a tunnel connection the two spots - but as you said in a poor country like that all they are left with is a dangerous road as this one.

  • Dude even if we had money, this is part of the culture and a attraction for turists. Right now there is a pavement road already. You see because we have that road, NatGeo makes a documentary about our road LOL :)

  • @jhavyu learn to formulate sentences you motherfucker "LOL"

  • @n00bdirect oh i am really sorry that english is not my native language and probably i make some mistakes, but perhaps if you try to learn another language instead of making fun of other people then you could see that communicating in another language is not as easy as it looks asi que mejor dejate de joder y anda a chingar a tu madre ok pieze of assh*le? Later motherfu*ker :)

  • lmaoo!

  • Comment removed

  • even if u give a milions £ or $ i will never drive on that road!

  • If you fell down it would be awesome until u hit the bottom LOL

  • sexy road

  • fuckin 30 second cracker commercial put me behind 3 years

  • yeah i refresh when a commercial comes up!!!

  • lol @ "Danger Equation"

  • That's Fucking awesome , it is like a roller coaster !!

  • proabably.

    Now the next question is

Does your edcuation give you the right to call em "undeducated"?

Come on man, show some education and tolerance among the peoples!

  • true. sorry if i offended you, man.

i was angry that some people built this road with little foresight, endangering the lives of many villagers who didnt ask for anything like, yet now their economy depends on this dangerous creation.
