  • nice advice, thank you! I knew I had to find more effective abrasive then then a towel couldn't understand what would work for that. Scratch is gone!

  • this is great information about the cardboard, although i haven't tested it yet but I appreciate the idea as i was wondering about what i could use as an abrasive and pointed it out right away. love it when that happens.

Anyways thanks for the info one again.

  • Never mind, it works on LED too, you my friend are a genius and a scholar. You just saved me at least 300 dollars on a new hd monitor. Thank you so much!

  • what about LED?

  • Sand along the scratch. Howard

  • Did you rub along the scratch or in the opposite direction of it? I have a semi-deep scratch in the middle of my screen that's really annoying on light colors.

  • LED**

  • What about a LCD monitor?

  • @garrynoman it worked on my Samsung LCD Monitor. If it's plastic, it may work on any monitor.

  • Awesome, thanks very much!! This literally removed one of the scratches and made the deeper scratch less visible..

  • You are a true genius. Thank you my man. You saved me a lot of stress and a few hundred dollars. Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks so much, removed two large scratches from my new LCD TV that happened over Christmas. Fantastic, tip and best of all it's free!!!!!

  • @BonnevilleTB7 Glad it worked for you. Thank you for your comments.

  • It worked! :D

  • I have a 22 inch BenQ LCD monitor, and i came in to randomly find scratches on my monitor, also I cant get this method to work. Any help?

  • @TheProjectAlexander I don't know why it didn't work on the BenQ LCD. Maybe the plastic is harder on the BenQ.

  • @bhowardbyout Could it have anything to do with the cardboard I used?

  • @TheProjectAlexander I don't think so.

  • @bhowardbyout I'll keep experimenting, thanks anyways man!

  • fucking awesome...

  • this works very very well, i cant even see the scratch anymore

  • It works..You spared me a lot of anxiety..Thanks a lot.

  • Worked like a charm! Thanks for the advice

  • Awesome job my friend!

  • DUUUUUDE! Okay this is insane!! You have taught me more useful things than I learnt from 5 years of secondary school! 5 minutes ago I was in panic mode, I have a small room in which I was taking apart my computer and cleaning it / hoovering the dust out, and as I was escorting the pc case around, I did a rather rapid 90 degree turn and gauged my brand spanking new 22 inch 1080p hd monitor! I haven't even removed the stickers yet! I fixed it using the very cardboard box it came in! Thank you sir!

  • you have no clue how much money you just saved me

  • @ChannelFamilys Great to hear it worked for you. Thanks for the comments. Howard

  • OMG I LOVE YOU DUDE IT FUCKIN WORKED

  • I tried it and it worked for the most part, but it didn't erase it completely. It did work in the way where i can not see it from further then a couple inches. So i would say that it works.

  • I have a gouge that's like half the size of a grain of rice. I'd say it's at least 3x the width of a standard scratch. I did the cardboard thing for about 90 seconds, and Vaseline, and the eraser, and none worked. In fact, the Vaseline made it stand out more, reflecting random colors inside it, so not sure why people say that works. I just don't know what to do. It is only 3mm long or so, but the problem is it's a full mm thick I'd say, so it's noticeable. What should I do?

  • @SilentBob420BMFJ It seems to work on scratches, but won't work on wide deep gouges. I don't recommend Vaseline.

  • OMG THE SCRATCH CAME OFF AS SOON AS I ERASED IT, THANK YOU I DIDN'T KNOW IT COULD BE THIS EASY!!

  • does it work on mid-deep scrathces. (not color lines)

  • @Shadow77796 I don't think so.

  • @Shadow77796 if you do it for about 30 mins it makes them so much better

  • THANKS A LOT! couldnt believe it till i tried it)

  • nope

  • @champsinger I don't know.

  • thanks! it worked on my tv and only took 10 seconds to do

  • Pencil eraser worked on a small scratch on my 50 inch lcd tv nothing worse than a scratch you cant take your eyes off of hope this helps someone

  • I am so happy that my LCD screen scratch removal method has worked for a number of viewers. However, I do not recommend using alcohol on an LCD screen. It can damage the plastic surface and blur the display.

  • @bhowardbyout is this safe to do on a touch screen

  • THANK YOU sir!, for your time, and invaluable advice. I've used this technic on my 30 inch LCD display, and after 15 seconds, of sanding, it's like new. I've also cleaned it with diluted alcohol. It is perfect. Just like new, can't see any scars no matter the angle I look at, no matter the brightness/colour. I can't express in words my gratitude. I wish you the best of luck. Have an amazing day! Thank you so much!

  • Do u know if it works on a tv that has colored lines that run down the tv?????

  • @FourTricks1 Can't fix color problems.

  • Thank you very much, it's amazing and really good and it worked, thanks again: D

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I got a new screen for my birthday and put a scratch in it on the first day. You have saved my life. It worked great. THANKS!!!

  • thank you it worked!!!!!!!!

  • Glad to hear it worked for you. Thank you for your comment.

  • Thank you so much, I had a scratch on my 50" flat screen tv that has been driving me nuts!! a couple minutes of rubbing with a piece of cardboard and it was gone! PRICELESS!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
