America, Esp. Bunnell, had the ability to write melodies and hooks (both in song structure and riffs) that made for songs that were immediately catchy and lingered in your mind, despite the lyrics being often obtuse and seeming random.
every morning i wake up and have a song in my head... this morning it is this one... a great song... "oz didnt give anything to the tin man that he didnt already have..."
Great song and performance. But since you posted the lyrics I'll be quick to take the bait and ask the question, at the risk of beating a dead horse (even one with no name) to any who have an idea: Where or what is the tropic of sir Galahad?
I saw the Wizard of Oz Sunday & two things were with me the whole way ,this song & Into & over the rainbow by Rainbow, ok , 3 things, #3 how bizarre and ahead of it's time, that movie was.
@tjfreak My mom told me when she saw that movie in the theater..It starts out in black-n-white.then it goes into technicolor..She told me when the color burst out onto the audience they were all so amazed by the vividness of seeing color in a movie for the first time..Must have been like hearing the first talkie movie..Peace and have a good 2012
@TheClockworkDemon Not sure wtf you mean by "mostly only rap". Do you mean on the radio? There's a wider range of musical styles and bands playing them now than at any time ever. Maybe make at least a slight effort to look for it. Just cuz it isn't on the radio is no excuse in today's technological wonderland to not be able to find other genres that are loaded w/ great music.

I've got the same Beckley's 12 string.
And I saw them in a close concert long time ago, in the 1992.
Very very nice!
