mine has a body kit and it don't rub the ground unless u hit a speed bump going fast. i can normal do 30 over a bump and not scrape and with side skirts it sides 3-4 in. form the ground

Its still just an escort. Plus any stock Zx2 can do that! The Escorts were built for torque not speed, so its easy to light the tires up, but they are POS for racing!

I would have to argue the opposite. It takes skill to light up the tires on a stock ZX2, but once you get in the higher rpms they pull strong. What exactly is POS for racing? Light weight, excellent handling, I guess a heavy V8 rear drive car would be terrible them huh?

No I'm merely saying that Escort ZX2 or regular is not designed for racing, STOCK. You can obviously modifiy them for street, such as many people do with Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, and other cars. But from the start most Escorts, Civics, and Corollas are just built as econo-boxes. As far as lighting up the tires, its simple if you know how to drive a stick! ;-)

I can light the tires up in a stock 97 Escort LX 4 door with a manual no problem. If you start with the parking brake on it's definitely way easier that way too.
