it's no mystery how claire survived the blast, and sawyer didn't get shot, it's called coincidence, and if they die, the show could lose a lot of money

In the behind the scenes video thing for this episode the special effects guy says that Sawyer 'thinks' that Claire is in the house, so maybe just maybe she was outside hanging up the laundry, and she just got knocked out by the blast? Other than that i really have no clue

that question, along with how in the hell did Sawyer manage to survive that little gun fight?... are 2 new mysteries that will probably never be answered.

My theory, Claire has fake breasts and they took the entire impact of the bomb. hehe!.. and sawyer watched too many action movies (like Die Hard, Rambo, Bourne films) with Hurley and decided "hey! I could do that!".. and then BANG he did!

Wow, I suppose that's one theory of how she could have survived. lol. And I was wondering the same thing with Sawyer. And, what about all those "others"? First of all, where the heck did they come from? I thought that the only people left in that "village" were the Losties and Ben. And second, I thought that the "others" were supposed to be smart. They just kept running out like, "What's happening?" when there's gun fire everywhere. They just got mowed down! Yet Sawyer dodged every bullet. Weird

Those weren't others.. they were Losties. All of the others were sent to the Temple by Ben. (like Richard, etc)

..and yeah I would not run out like that if I heard gunshots either!

might just be me thinking too hard on this but at 1:11 there is some form of scream from the house (or around it, as there could have been people alive)

yeah i found it abit unrealistic that Sawyer survived as far as im aware gun bullets from the army squads guns would blast a picnic table to bits, good fight scene none the less.

ha best fake scene was back in 1977 Jack in the camp having a big shoot-off with everybody :P he's a doctor for fuck sake not Terminator
