As a visual designer, I think I've done myself a great disservice by saying "I don't do games." Specifically computer games. To my mind, "gamification" has come to equal manipulation to the benefit of the manipulator. I've been cutting off my nose to spite my face.
I think I totally get where Christy is coming from, if fits right in with my expanded theory of the "Tower of Babel." If you were to substitute media for language, transmedia is trying to "translate" your story into as different "languages" as possible, hoping that the amalgamation them all represents a "Total Work of Art." Great speech Christy!
