i was down town when this happened. i was like in a building for a play with my parents and i remember hearing a big thud which was the bridge. i wasn't on the bridge when it fell, but if we left 20 minutes later we would have!
I live in northern Minnesota.. and I'm still in shock!! I use to live in the cites (Minneapolis) and took that bridge sometimes to St. Paul. I thought the structure looked weak, or something to me.
I've been watching the local news since last night. I'm just glad my family wasn't on that bridge.
Damn. That's the third worst thing I've seen since Katrina and 9/11. I live over here in KY. The radio stations have been talking about it all day. Everybody over here is feeling terrible about this. My thoughts and prayers to the lost and the injured.
I was on break at work when I heard the story break less than two minutes after the collapse.

The bridge will reopen Christmas Eve,I visited the site today and found that out.
