Play and innocent childhood are SO important in later life for one's mental health, physical health, intelligence etc. Child stars without this childhood often have problems later in life. I'm not saying this kid is in danger or whatever, but as long as he's enjoying himself and also gets to be a kid too that's fine.
@TheDiggster13 That's awesome :-) I think it happens more in asian countries to be honest, where there are a lot of social pressures. My sax/piano teacher took on a chinese girl who had just moved to the UK, and he told her parents she shouldn't do more than 45 mins practice every day (instead of many hours a day in China) and after a while she became more confident, starting looking after her appearance etc, I guess because of the reduced pressure and more spare time!
