best trailer ever -- too bad they muffed the sequels. In the third film the characters said Godamnit It a lot so I think God heard them, He did damn Revolution, it's terrible. Biggest mistake was bringing back Smith; he should have died and a new enemy should have arose, that would have been a lot more interesting. And it's two parts of your trilogy, the idea to have it almost real time covering just a couple days was also a bad bad idea. At least we have Matrix1 and Animatrix.

I already have a great idea for a final battle. Instead of Smith taking over Neo, it works the opposite way:

Neo is standing in the street, with Smith beating the shiRt out of him. Smith then punches Neo in the stomach, and slimy stuff comes out to take over him.

Neo: "What doesn't kill you... makes you stronger."

But then it bounces back, and instead takes over Smith, turning him into Neo. Then Neo VS Smith-Neo.

@Roka9786 Inception really isn't as much a sci-fi movie, as it is a philosophical movie. Both are classics. But even though Inception was deeper, I'd rate Matrix higher because of how ground breaking and novel it was. Heck, even the zero g hotel lobby scene from Inception has undertones of M's action.

Matrix changed cinema forever. All you have to do is pretend Reloaded and Revolutions were never made :|

Honestly, i don't really like this trailer. The movie was a piece of art, with huge amounts of depth and meaning. This trailer portrays this movie to be another stereotypical save the world movie with an over-serious plot. Of course, this is definitely not the case with the actual movie, which is why i don't think that this trailer captured this completely original and mind blowing film.

In terms of story, i think that MATRIX is better than James Cameron's AVATAR. However, like MATRIX REVOLUTIONS, AVATAR focuses more on CGI and action than on the overall story. Don't get me wrong; I'm a BIG matrix fan, just that they could have improved the story of the 3rd one.

There is only one film in the Matrix series. Reloaded and Reveloutions (especially Reloaded) are part of the 'Gaytrix' series, which is named for its complete and utter gayness.

(I am aware of the Animatix but have not seen that film so my opinion on it is invalid.)

Trailer only shows a lot because we've seen it. I had not clue what this film was about when I first saw this trailer. You had crazy action scenes, "saving the world", supernatural abilities, the word "the matrix" thrown around, and finally reeves dodging those bullets.

I though the Matrix was kind of the story of Jesus in a way. He is the chosen one that will save everybody from permanent sin, Neo, like Jesus, had powers that nobody else had and was able to do things that others thought where impossible. But in order for Neo to accomplish his mission had to die. Every time I watch the Matrix it just reminds me of what I learned in church as a kid.
