  • I think Bernardini is one of the best horses of recent years. Beautifully bred and a good performer. I wish too that he would have raced as a four-year-old.

  • I'm so excited that they are going to breed Zenyatta to this wonderful stallion.

  • Bernardini to be bred to Zenyatta!

  • @Zenyatta20 I'm not convinced this breeding is the best choice. He is a very young stallion yet. I would have preferred an older stallion for her first foal. We shall see in the future.

  • I loved this horse. Broke my heart when they retired him after only 8 starts without giving him a chance to redeem himself and be horse of the year as a 4yo. Racing lost something for me when that happened.

  • great horse was the best 3yr old in the world at that time..cant wait to see his proginy race in australia since he stands here...love to buy a yearling from his proginy

  • I wished they would have raced him at 4.

  • bernardini was the best 3 year old in the country bar none..straight up

  • @millreef42 have to dissagree what about the derby winner that year BARBARO. he went into the derby undefeated and crushed the field by 7 lengths.

  • Bernardini was a freak, one of the more talented horses of the past decade or more

  • If Bernardini won any other Preakness, he would have been a fan favorite. I love him. I wish he got more respect by the general racing community

  • another one with nobody to challenge him.

  • i agree with all of you!

bernardini did so well in all of his races

congrats to his trainer and jockey they did such a good job!

  • As posted previously by KeenantheBarbarian: I was at the travers that year, amazing win.

I was also at this years travers.. street sense won by a head.. I always like to see horses pull away.

Thanks for viewing and for the great comments, but I don't want swearing on my channel. No profanity, please.

    Thanks again.

  • Can any one tell me where Go for Wand is?

  • Go For Wand is buried in the infield at Saratoga where she won most of her races. A tragic loss.

  • Yes, right next to the flagpole with the "NYRA" flag on it, just as Ruffian is burried near the NYRA flag at Belmont Park. It can only be seen on films of some turf races at the spa.

  • Bernardini was a spectacular colt. Too bad he was retired so early. He could have done much more, I think.

  • I totally agree. He definitely would have been better as a four year old. Take care.

  • @LadyKat964 Absolutely agree, LadyKat.

  • awesome performance by bernardini, but such a weak field

  • Yes, Bernardini was a terrific horse.

    Thanks for watching.

  • your right pizzdizz the only other good horse was Bluegrass cat and bernardini domonated
