yeah i was :) if he didnt have soft boiled but another (hidden move) most people would expect like it to have soft boiled so would only worry about 3 other moves, but if it had 4 attackive moves it might be a bit of a trump card

btw i think i might of worked out why he went to arcanine, he saw your latias surfing so he would expect you to think he would change to a ice type to recieve less damage so he expected you to use a fire move on the incoming ice type so switched to arcanine to get a boost from flash fire, either that or he sacrificed it to get your hp lower from life orb so he could revenge kill you with a really weak hitmontop
