hey, i got 2x 5870 Sapphire Toxic running on 800CC 1150MC.

But on my GPUz the 2dn card is always on 0% load.. and always on 157CC 300MC, even when the 1st "main" card is on 99% load.

Is the card busted? Or is it just a connection issue?

what version of CCC are you useing? i have just installd 2x 5870 crossfire too but it seems that without crossfire the fps is the same or even a litle better on world of warcraft max graphics that with crossfire enabled , and suggestions on getting the most out of crossfireing these cards?

I have 8gb of ddr3 1333 , and a 2.80ghz phenom II x6 on a GiGABYTE 890GPA-UD3H motherboard

yes double post wtver.. just a word of advice to any1 that is thinking of getting the asus rampage MB's and is going to use these cards in xfire, do your self a fav and get the extreme edition your Gpu's will be spaced out better and will have less cooling problems. the gene MB dosnt least any room between the 2 cards for the top one to pull in air so it ends up running about 15ºC hotter than normal

2 5870's do perform around 10% better in most games and bench marks as to 1 5970. but it all go's down 2 what you using them for.

1 5970 has GPU's inside, so its 2 graphics cards...

Its much better to get 2x5870's because its less power consuming, more heat efficient and performs a little better.

Yeah like "LedwezNelson" said in the comment below you have crossfire disabled. I'm not sure if you had it on during the benchmark but if it was off during the benchmark imagine the score you would get with it enabled.

Hi, open the Cataylst CC and go to ATI Overdrive. Click "Select GPU to configure:" and click and choose the 2nd ATI Radeon HD 5870 in that box and this should enable you to adjust the fan speed manually for the 2nd card. If this doesn't just download MSI Afterburner which I think is a better program to overclock card and automatic fan speed control which can be configured to your discretion.

The only drivers that ATI has out that works PHENOMENALLY for the 5850/5870 cards are the Catalyst 9.11 Beta4 OpenCL/Stream drivers!!! I get an "average" of 177% performance increase from going from a single 5870 to Tri-Fire on my 4.1ghz i7 Classified rig. ENJOY THEM!!!!
