  • "The Help" brough me here XD

  • too bad The Help ruined this song for me

  • A movie called "The help" sent me here..

  • I gave away my heart too... I will skip the rest... Fare thee well.

  • CAPOLAVORO

  • 105 people have a different opinion in music than me and im totally fine with that

  • @johniebananasc6 At least someone gets it :) Good for you man <3

  • I didn't know he was on Celebrity Deathmatch.

    Cool.

  • What else do you expect from a man mentored by Johnny Cash?

    Greatness breeds greatness.

  • Babe

  • aint no use in turnin on the light, luke.

im on the dark side of the force.

  • @ohaRega hahaha golden

  • I find it so sad that such great music like this was almost completely forgotten when all the new, talentless music came out. We will never have great songwriters like this ever again, and it's sad that they got overpowered by all the abhorrent artists today that should be slaughtered for their nauseating pieces of music that sent the real musicians into a serrated hell hole where their worst nightmares became reality. When music like this is called "amazing", it truely is an understatement.

  • @JFTerson I disagree, I think there are plenty of prolific songwriters today and will continue to be until the day music dies. There will never be another great songwriter like Bob Dylan, true, but that doesn't mean that the present and future don't hold songwriters with a different greatness that may even surpass Dylan's.

  • @Alexthebarbarian What I've found lakely is a large number of songwriters from "back in the day" are now writing for the talent of today.

  • @Alexthebarbarian Amen.Dylan if he wrote and played those songs today would have never got the mediatic exposure he got back in the days. The good artists are there, they have just become part of a niche, and most people won't go looking for those, just react to what is played in mainstream media, which is admittedly 80% bs.

  • @JFTerson how pontifical.

  • @JFTerson its all a matter of opinion.

  • @JFTerson hey man we WILL have great songwriters just like this, but they just wont be in the limelight

  • @JFTerson Have faith freind, you never know what the future holds.

  • @JFTerson There are quite a few great singer/songwriter artists out there.. they're just not promoted by mainstream media.

Look up Ray Lamontagne, for instance.. great lyrics, and nice groove :)

  • @WhiteWolf1088 i didnt know Ray, but thanks to your comment, i do know. thank you very much. I find his music and lyrics to be quite good. thanks again. ;)

  • @pacf16 Glad to be of service!

Hope you enjoy his music as much as I have/do :)

  • @JFTerson Here's one of my favorites by Ray: /watch?v=mT69zOTNa8Q

  • @JFTerson The lamenting pessimist.

goodbyes to good a word. so i'll just say fare thee well the only light i ever node,- pure genius

  • Been listenin to Dylan for years but somehow never came across this one but god damn what a good tune.

  • Bob Dylan is one of my biggest musical and lyrical influences. His music doesn't really become exceptionally sophisticated until his later years, but his early material and lyrical innovations really influence my lyrics and style, as well. And i'm hoping some of you would be interested in giving some of my songs a shot(:

I only have two uploaded, but i'm looking for some feedback from the fanbase i wish to capture, because i know Dylan fans are open-minded. Thank you for your little time (:

  • Absolutely Brilliant!! Loved it. Thanks!

  • Well done. Your video refreshes the song without distracting from the original performance.

  • @hardlawd i wish for you a better place than where you are now

  • @evanss57 is there better place than a bob dylan video?

  • @hardlawd FUCKING RACIST

  • @hardlawd sorry your mind works that way man.

  • Back on YouTube! Yeah!

  • 何故か昨夜のNHKの深夜番組でやってたが、懐かしい感じがしました。

    最近はこんなこと言っても誰も信用しない。明日はないんだよ。でも彼の歌は最高なものです。心が優しくなります。

  • @1945TSUGUO ha chink

  • if she didn't waste his time he would of wrote more songs

  • @johnhayish lol he has like 20 albums

  • John Lennon on the left at 0:37 <3

  • 103 didn't think twice, but it's alright

  • 103 people should think twice...

  • f.e x

  • not bad but i prefer more intelligent music such as Van Halen.

  • "Knowed"? REALLY?! C'mon. I love this song, but seriously...

  • @MissEmcat24

    It's on purpose.

  • @Rossonero072213 What do you mean?

  • @MissEmcat24

That Dylan was deeply inspired by folk music, and that type of grammar is common, so his use of 'knowed' is calculated. Does it bug you that much?

  • @Rossonero072213 Yeah, I'm kind of a grammar nazi... sorry lol. I don't deny that he's a genious, but it just seems like he could've found a better rhyme.

  • @MissEmcat24 you mean genius... and you call yourself a grammar nazi.

    lololol

  • @emilyons123 Give me a break, it was a typo.

  • @MissEmcat24 I was kidding, I just found it funny because you had said you were a grammar nazi in the same sentence. Sorry :)

  • @emilyons123 Haha it's fine :)

  • @MissEmcat24 poetic licence my friend, think he deserves that much at least.

  • @hyperguy79 All I'm saying is that I think he could've found a better rhyme... it just seems kinda forced, you know? Blergh. Love the song anyway<3

  • @MissEmcat24 me too. it's brilliance.

  • @hyperguy79 haha yep

  • pinkyswear..i know exactly how you feel babygirl ;))

  • Did Dylan write this song? Seems country

  • @hcronos ...yes he did...he was heavily influenced by country music, don't forget :)

  • I love this song.

  • Is it wrong of i like the Mike Ness version better?

  • @Arian545 yes it's very wrong.

  • 102 dislikes? come on Bieber....behave!

  • i listen to this everyday. Thanks for sharing. BOB IS AWESOME!

  • Oh man, Ke$ha is going to make this song so much better. Cause you know, she is known for her passion for politics and wordsmithing.

  • I'm so happy this video is finally back up. I used to watch it all the time. Amazingly done. Good job my man.

  • Great Vid!!!!! Boddy D is the man!!!!

  • Yay I'm so happy you put this back up, I would play this video all the time, everyday after my gf broke up with me. This song translated well into my predicament at that time.

  • Great video

  • If Ke$ha does half as good as she did on her Rolling Stones cover then her cover of this should be amazing(:

  • if ke$ha is doin a cover of this great song than dont think twice its alright!!

  • His voice is is chill on this song. I got a version up on youtube.

  • a true legend!!

  • it makes me sad about my own generation.

  • Beautifull video and song. Laughed my ass off when some yuppie brushed Dylan aside and he barley noticed. Shows hes really as chill and distant as he seems.

And the Celebrity Deathmatch snippet was awesome. Miss that show even though it was just clay and glorified personas imaginarily fighting.....

  • kesha is gonna cover this song, so excited

  • ke$ha is gonna sing it on a tribute album for bob dylan...im so excited!!!!

  • @dccg26 hopefully anyone that called her a talentless whore will think twice after this song

  • @orlando6598 wow i never thought there is someone here on ke$ha side :))....i already expected someone to reply to my comment with hatred for ke$ha...im really surprised..thank you! :D and yes this will AGAIN prove she can sing! :D

  • @dccg26 omg i know EVERYTHING about her... i think i understand her enough to know shes just full of satircal humor and shes just so full of life and fun... shes a great role model

  • @dccg26 I hate ke$ha, and I hate that she'll sing a Bob's song...but I respect your opinion.

  • this song is the everlasting love of my life.

  • @Raphsrockingways marry me?

  • @kurtcobainscat only if this is played in our house 24/7

  • @Raphsrockingways mkay, i could make that happen, although this song is about leaving someone.

  • @kurtcobainscat it's about growing up and seeing yourself as what your worth, and if the possibility is there, that this person will go on that journey with you, if not, the choice is there to be made.. sorry, that's just how this song gets me.

  • @hyperguy79 to each his own, i suppose.

  • @hyperguy79 please, just stop trying to teach lessons to everyone and enjoy the music

  • @Thugepie i did say, sorry, it's just how the song gets me.on my comment. no offence intended.

  • @hyperguy79 peace, love and harmony my brother

  • Hello my names neal AKA Kidcapstoneoutlawsounds, And i'm a songwriter/gutarist i've just made my first ever video of me singing/ Playing the guitar to my own lyrics and using my own chords so please feel free to check out my channel and if you enjoy it subscribe, favourite, and like 1love neal..

  • Love this version. Thanks

  • how was this blocked here??

  • This is a poem set to music. Bob Dylan may not have the most impressive or beautiful voice but art is about expression, not perfection.

  • nice video, you did a great job!

  • This is the best version.

  • so so happy this version is back on youtube!!! thank you thank you thank you!

  • beautiful song....very mellow..

  • wow. best artist of all time.

  • @HannahCos Yeah, it is huh?

  • Thanks!

  • made me realise how much I love my girlfriend c:

  • dylan is the poet of my heart and soul! <3

  • So beautiful. Such a lovely voice.

  • 98 people didn't think at all

  • Timujin, ...........I must disagree. With not so good of a voice to you, it must have been to the other 90,933,567,000 of us., huh? duhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

  • pretty sad but great song. It could be on 500 days of summer soundtrack

  • the baby boomers hank williams.

  • this song is just so amazing to me. Bob Dylan is legend. a true one because that word is used a little loosely these days.

  • this is the maddest breakup song ever.

  • @JReinmuth It might be the most apathetic breakup song ever. He doesn't even care enough to be mad. "you coulda done better, but I don't mind"

  • @AndMyPickle

    lol

    not mad?

Check out the last verse. When he says he doesn't mind, he makes it clear that in fact he does mind, a whole lot.

  • @Rossonero072213 Look,

    Bud,

This is art. I can read it whichever way I like. I don't think he cares at all. You think he does. Bully for you.

    lol

  • @AndMyPickle

Sure, you can read it whichever you want, as long as it's supported by the song. And don't be so touchy.

Do you really think he's apathetic when telling her that she wasted his precious time?

  • Yes we have Dylan back.

  • have to replay the song at least twice

  • Beautifully composed video. Thank you-

  • This song, it took me AGES to find on YouTube. You have no idea how thankful I am for this. Great video by the way, x.

  • don't hate, don't be angry.

Just listen to the music and let it reach your heart

  • Mazel Tov!

    Shalom !

  • @nighthawkes Thanks goodness they removed it, I made this video myself.

  • @Alexthebarbarian

    Hahaha.

    Touche.

Nice video, by the way. And great great song, of course.

  • @Alexthebarbarian And you did a smashing job my friend!!!!

  • @nighthawkes Yea god forbid that somebody want to get paid for what they created. I mean Henry Ford made the car like 105 years ago but god help him if the ford family still get paid for cars.

  • @postedsecret Yes, but they are not still selling the 1907 Ford T...

  • @nighthawkes It wasn't Dylan. It was the record company...

  • @nighthawkes It's youtube. Not Bob Dylan.

  • @nighthawkes According to new law, if I remember correctly, he gets royalties for 60 years, so he'll get paid for the song until 2026 ^^

  • @nighthawkes This song is from 1963

  • @mattandjordaninc This make it worst!

  • @nighthawkes Learn how to spell.

  • @mattandjordaninc Hahah, maybe you can do better in my lenguage my friend!!

  • @nighthawkes freewheelin made in 1962 while Kennedy still pres

  • @nighthawkes

"I wonder how Bob want still to be paid for a song wrote in 1966..."

    It's called copywrite law.....

"I was goin to buy the freewheelin cd, but after this, i'll never buy it..."

Dylan will sorely miss your $17.

  • @gtrrobster I think that the exact word is "copyright" but this is not my lenguage so i cuold be wrong, anyway i know what copyright is, but what i was trying to explain is that is possible to find on you tube any kind of song, exept the Dylan's one, do you think that other artist don't have copyright?

If every musician will do like Bob is doing there will be no more music on youtube... don't think that they will become poor 'cause are not avoiding the view of their song on utube...

    Just this...

  • @nighthawkes

i empathize with you provided what you say is true...customer is always right so i think you tube viewers should be awarded what they deserve

  • i gave you my heart but you wanted my soul

  • the best

    !!! damnn good!!!

  • this song has enough layers to pull me apart a couple times. I'm trying to convince myself it's alright too, bob.

  • finallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • love Bob
