Hes not an all-star for a few reasons, injuries are a big part of it,and he doesn't have low post moves per say. Hes an underachiever who has the ability to be one of the best centers in the NBA. If he could block more shots and gain some low post moves hed be a taller version of Dwight Howard.

He helps by providing a good offensive threat in the post. Tyson is great at running the floor, but he had zero post moves. Tyson was also good at transition defense, but once a center put his back against chandler, it was all down hill for him.

Emeka's game will only increase with Chris Paul just as TC's greatly improve coming from the Bulls.

No his limited offense doesn't hurt the team he plays with. There are 4 other scorers in the starting lineup. Everyone doesn't need to be a scorer. Offensive never hurts but the Hornets aren't suffering because of his limited offense. Not saying they will win a championship but championships are won with defense.

his offensive limitations really doesn't hurt the hornets. he is good enough esp with CP3 throwing him alley hoop dunks. (ahhh. crazy good). But his injuries severely cripple the Hornets.

the hornets are a decent playoff team (primarily b.c it is about Christ Paul). With no real big men outside of Chandler, the hornets are even softer and more exposed.

Thus when the hornets lost in the playoffs, it was b.c they had no real big men. Chandler was it. he ain't Great but he ain't bad either.
