gnx3 needs midi cables for computer control of it, gnx 3000 is usb. digitech is best for software control of its boards, EASYon screen tweeking. boss and line6
not so much. i have both gnx3 and 3000.
you cant go wrong with these, my opinion
gnx3000 is better buy unless you need gnx3 onboard multitrack recording.
no this is not possible....but you can have a USB connec tion established to a computer so you make the drumtracks there and send the audio thru the USB to the monitors or amplifiers...thats works pretty easy. The drumpatterns in the GNX3000 are non-changable....you can vary speed volume and style though.
Both are great. Must be proof them and decided... I've see a clinic of line6 and digitech both in a music store, and I'm very impressed with 2 brands... I think that depends of your very personal "sound"
Great Tone! I have a GNX3000 as well, but I just can't seem to get a tone with that much clarity. I play mostly metal and I want a real ballsy, punch-in-the-face kind of tone. But I can never get it heavy or clean enough. Any tips :D
I use mahagony guitars and dont use so much distortion but crank all the available volumes instead of the distortion...that helps to get more clarity out of any gear I think. Mahagony guitar seem to interact well with modellers I dont knwo why but I have trouble getting a smooth tone out of digital equipment using maple or ash or even basswood guitars...I hope this helps you a little bit. Thanks for your comment
hey thanks alot for the tips, they really helped to clean up my sound! I've worked on a new tone since then, but I have another problem now where the USB recording is really..how should I say, digital sounding and clunky. I know it's probably too much to ask but would you mind taking a look at a sample audio clip of mine?
hi, man i need something from you "the patch u uses" is very good I own the gnx3000 but I haven´t find the right patch for my style.. (I play a lot two handed licks)
the sound I have comes straight from the unit through the XLR outs going into the mixer. No real amp is involved. The GNX3k sounds great direct and I prefer that application over the into an amp application. A real amp you always have to mic to put it through a PA and to get a good result many things must be well considered. With the direct application you dont have to worry about this at all, you just go and play music and this is what it comes down to at the end...the music
Do you really suggest to line it in directly? Than to use an amp? Very nice tone!!! I've decided to purchase one. It'll be my first time to buy. Is GNX3000 a good choice? Need your advice though i heard it sounded well in this video.
Me personally would go for the GNX3000....but at the end of the day it is your money that you spend so please check both units out and decide for the one which seems to be the better choice for your application
I do it that way and I am happy. I almost all of the time play in very controlled environments with the ability to control the sound myself or have a good engineer. If you dont have that you can always have a stage amp thru the line outs and the XLR outs for the PA so you have best out of both worlds
there is a (virtual) buttom in the front (toeposition of the pedal) where you can switch the wah off - just apply some extra weight to this position and it should be turned off.....if this doesnt happen you probably have to do a pedal update which you find in the utility section.
you can always deactivate the wah in the fx matrix...use the cursors and scroll to the first row and then press the knob to activate ot to bypass the wah in this preset
Tal vez lo seas (aunque espero que no), la verdad me fueron muy útiles ambas respuestas. Muchas gracias, si alguna vez necesitas saber un poco de español no dudes en pedirme ayuda. ;).
Maybe you are (but i hope not), the truth is that both of your answers were very usefull to me. Thanks a lot, if sometime you need to know a little bit of spanish don´t hesitate in asking me for help. lol.
Nice playing! I have a Digitech GNX3 but I'm thinking of upgrading to a Digitech GNX3000 because I hear it has more tone and sounds better. What would you say? Thanks!
It does sound more modern but you should also check out the RP350...it has the latest ampmodels and a few featues of the GNX3000 as well ad is way cheaper. I rate it soundwise over the GNX3000 and its cheaper too
Well less is more...sounds stupid but take only one ting at a time. Go for an amp and stick with the factory choice of cab then fiddle with a stompbox until you get the tone which is both comforting and great sounding. I always search for an effect last...most of the time I jut use a hint of slapback echo...Pingpong delay with approx 400ms and 10% feedback. This fills the gaps between notes but doesnt interfere with your playing. I can send you my complete patches if you write me...no problem...
I got a gnx3k and when i use the phones it´s sound great but when i use my amp (crate) it´s sound like a bee. I´ve tried to adjust the tone levels on tha amp but didn`t have success. What can i do? And i`m so cofused to choose an amp model on gnx3k.
Are you related to Carl Gustav Jung? It would be so rock & roll
