My Grandson and I are getting into Jr dragsters this year, we have a 2000 spitzer, really looking forward to it, we went to beech bend march 7th 2009 test and tune, we really had a good time and he learned a lot, wish I could fit in the car!!

ya if u wnt a new jr like a half scale which is one of the best brands u cn get it would cost ab 6k jus for the chassis then the motor cn cost ovr a grand not includin the clutch nd othr parts...if u had a new well runnin car it would cost ab 12 k all together....we hve 16k or more in mine but we hve all top of the line stuff

my car i race is a 07 kcs out law and whn i got the car there was only 5 passes in it frist time down the track with it i went 750 at 93 lol....(coulda got banned for dat hehe) and at the 07 div i raced sum of those cars i see and for my frist year racn i came in 13th place :o

I think its pretty funny how most people don't realize how fast these things actually are. My Junior back in 2004 ran 7.10's-7.20's in the 1/8th mile (660ft) at about 88mph+.

These things are pretty fast for a 1-cylinder engine :).

Faster than most sport cars anyway.

@racecarfan461 If you got a smaller motor and a crappy body and frame, you're still looking at 2500 USD. Now, if you plan on winning some races you'll have to put a lot of money in it. A motor that will take you down the track at 80MPH costs at least 3k. The body and frame alone could cost 2400 USD. At least where I live, and I live in the racing capitol of the world.
