One thing I noticed... If you are showing steps for the man's roll in the dance, you REALLY should have been wearing flat shoes, rather than high heels. Especially with such a thin heel. Your steps had too much of a feminine flare to them to really show that this was the men's side of things.

Also, do you not wear heels often? You had a nasty wobble in your ankles, and I was actually concerned you were going to hurt yourself.

Actually in American Waltz, there is a box step, which she is doing correctly. I agree with you that there shouldn't be hip action though. I feel like her lack of rise and fall is due to just teaching the steps, rather the styling.

Anybody can be any size or shape to dance, as long as you can stay on your feet, which obviously the girl teaching the dance is staying on her feet, so she isn't too heavy to dance. Please don't judge.

I am learning the waltz. It is a very difficult dance to learn. Many styles, dresses. It is suppose to be about beauty and style.lol. I have been going to Starlight for a month in the beginners. And doing my best in the Bay area. And watching and listening. When I come home I watch the dancers on Youtube. But this is funny. She mus be a good dancer though if she dresses better.
