If you look real carfully, only the very tip of the corner of the roof hits the door, from the camera possition it looks like it completely crushes the car, but the corner realy only skims the door, it think...
At approximately 3 PM, Tuesday, July 2, a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, pulling a new travel trailer, hit the corner of the Texas State Bank Drive-In on Tenaha Street, causing the complete awning to come to the ground. Luckily, the driver of the Dodge, Mickey Miller, of Garrison and his 10 year old son were able to exit their vehicle uninjured.
Regardless if it's a gas station, bank, truck, or ute (WTF is is a UTE?)...your missint the point. Did these people survive? Probably not...damn shame! What a way to ruin a summer vacation, huh!?
Actually it is possible that they could have survived. The roof of the structure that they hit fell and sliced the side of the truck and did not land directly onto the truck. I am guessing the driver of this truck got injured bad, potential broken bones and bad cuts, but if someone was riding on the passenger side they probably were not badly hurt.
Yea they survived. I saw the interview on the local news here with the guy and his 10 year old son that was in the truck with him. Neither of them were hurt.
Holy shit that cab was flattened! I wouldn't be surprised if he died.

Anyone know what happened to these people? When it happened it was all over the news.
DoYouHaveCoolVideos 3 years ago
Actually I just heard that the driver and his son both escaped from the truck in the knick of time. Both suffered no injuries.

FAIL, That is a ute not a truck
cencsor 3 years ago
Maybe they are referred to as utes in New Zealand but in the U.S. its a truck, short for "pick-up truck."
I have no idea what you mean by FAIL.
