cheryl and kimberley are the least good singers in the band but ironically the most popular. have to say my 2 faves from girls aloud are actually cheryl and kim too! lol

Yeah it's similar. It's to look for a pop group instead of an individual artist though. This particular video is from "Popstars: The Rivals" which was aired in 2002 in the UK. American idol is a franchise of Pop Idol which is the UK equivalent and started in 2001.
