"Kriya yoga is a psychophysiological breathing technique and mantra through which human blood is decarbonized and recharged with oxygen. The atoms of this extra oxygen are transmuted into life current to rejuvenate the brain and spinal centers. By stopping the accumulation of venous blood, the advanced yogi is able to prevent the decay of tissues by transmuting his cells into pure energy." Yogananda
Also dfoxmaster, anything to do with Kundalini Rising is quite advanced, with no exceptions. And that is why people seek teachers; because they want Kundalini to rise fully as soon and as often as possible. many people harm themselves on their own, toying with Kundalini methods.
Finally, attachment and detachment are equivalent; in this case, obsession(desire) with methods. But ironically, it is the methods that liberate us from our ego's desires, and therefore also our attachments.
it's sad that people who watch this video would give you thumbs down for asking fundamental questions, rather than answer them.
so first: it is not ironic, because only people who practice meditation have advanced enough to use advanced techniques. As Yogiraj is saying, even in-depth meditators have trouble with basic things; such as thinking about puppies rather than Kriya, or prana, or whatever you're doing in your meditation.
I am starting the lesions of Paramahansa yogananda's soon. I wish you tube was also available to him. Thank you again Hamas. I will continue to look for your teachings. I had to add this cause it wont allow more then 500
I wanted to take this time to thank Hamas for his wonderful you tube showings. I have found the information extremely helpful. There is no better way for me to learn then to have a guru sitting here with me in my own living room (computer of course). I have been struggling with meditation and concentration for a long time. He has just made it so clear for me.
while concentrating on my breath I saw a "sun" but then I was excited of that feeling so I started thinking again and the light went away. Is this the beginning of samadhi?
there is a story of the Buhdda walking with a student. Student says; "master while meditating I am seeing suns, moons, colors, lights, hearing sounds it is thrilling". Buhdda then replys; "Keep meditating, it will go away"....Love and Light, RC
Perhapse the best, most direct explanation of the meditative experience I have ever heard. I wish I had seen this years ago. I had to find this out the hard way, through intense effort. Five stars.
Please explain me what really meditation is. I've read that meditation is opposite of concentration, is absence of mind, you think at nothing. When you concentrate, you are steady and calm like in meditation state, but instead your mind is ready to act for the events.
Meditation is the advanced timeless technology to enable us to tune into that which is the Cause of causes which has left it's signature on man's consciousness.
That energy, call it what you may, but expressing it through the realm of words or trying to decode it through logic always amounts to censorship. There is a threshold of the rational mind, where up to a certain point, intellect and logic is very very useful. But beyond a certain point, it inevitably results in a paradox which needs to be transcended.
What you meditate on you become, then you transcend. So in the ultimate sense it doesn't matter what it is, but for practical purposes meditating on Babaji is a great choice. You must fall in love with your breath. Come learn kriya yoga - it holds the most robust answer to your question.
what do you concentrate on when meditating?
dragonmastershow 5 days ago
@dragonmastershow The Shivanetra is where one's focus is placed. Then concentrate on the Divine from your heart and then practice your sadhanna.
