tbh you say you just started java and now your working on a project to do a game i mean i may sound a little far fetched but iv seen alot of java "even how runescape is coded" and i doubt that you would actually be able ot make anything like it any time soon but then again you never know so oh well gl with it also if your looking for practise on a rs sort of game download a runescape private server and just edit the existing code thats there its alot simpler well goodluck witht his project then

Make a game like devious mud, or runescape classic. Yes to the online mode, don't start out at lvl 138.....make ur own leveling system and armour and stuff. Whole new game.

-First of all runescape is based on one massive land you should base it on a city or two like varrok and fallador.

-Second people love pvp! you could have a city for pvp maybe lumbridge.

-bosses, you should have a city full of bosses.

-Your own mini-game!

-I also know that people get bored of making money when theres only like two ways.

-Skillng city/Combat city for training.
