@duncan33984 well these usually start easily. When I made this video the glow plugs were not working, so it was starting totally from heat of compression.

Reminds me of a Diesel Chevette, although the Chevette has the same engine as the I-Mark.

glow plugs are fine.... its just how old diesels run... they hate cold!!!

i have a 1987 Mercedes 300d... does the same thing and i had them rebuilt

LOL. You soundjust like Obama. Genius the Gp's are sho or compression is low in a cylinder.t. If you install new ones with a faster glow to start heat temp. The Hard start condition would be nil. I have a 1.6 vw diesel and 3,0 mb diesel that don'tt smoke at all on startup. =)

My cuz has a couple of rare diesels too. I dont remember the years but he has two datson king cab diesels and two datson sentra diesels. slower than piss but 40mpg and 3 of them get beat on out at the farm and the other just scoots around a small town

I remember having to crank for a good 1-2 minutes before she'd fire over and I'd have to goose the throttle and keep 'er running.. Great car.

I've got to be sincere. I don't really like diesels. They sound too noisy and smoke alot.

BUT, I've got to recognize they're the best automobiles, for their fuel efficiency and reliability.

I love Isuzus and this I-Mark(I had never seen one) looks such a nice and sweet car. I love when you're starting it. Looks like stone ages coming back to life. Awesome!
