  • thanks so much! i'm learning korean and this really helped me ^^ oh and you sound like tiffany from snsd and you look like cl! hhahaa thank you so much! please continue to upload more videos :D

  • thank you so much for posting up this video!

    i teach a korean school class to kindergartens every weekend and this weekends lesson is suppose to be on the days of the week (in korean, of course)

    i am going to use this video for my class!

    once again, thanks!

  • U are incredibly BEAUTIFUL OMG U R VERY CUTE LOL sorry i just had to say it hahahah

  • 고맙습니다 선생님 =)! I will study hard!

  • if my hypothesis is right, then it would be similar to how the chinese have litterally "1 day, 2 day, 3 day, etc" and then sunday which is litteraly "sun day"

    is this correct?

  • @hack9

    Actually, as you said, although in Chinese it's literally "1 day, 2 day, etc" for weekdays, it's not the same for Korean or Japanese. The Chinese characters used for the days of the week in both Japanese and Korean are exactly the same for both languages.

    Monday = Moon / Month

    Tuesday = Fire

    Wednesday = Water

    Thursday = Tree

    Friday = Gold

    Saturday = Earth (as in dirt/soil)

    Sunday = Sun / Day

    and those are what the Chinese characters mean for the days of the week. I hope that helped :]

  • @PillowTalkSarah

    Oh thats really particular, just curious do you have like, an asian language major xd?

  • This made Japanese how to read Korea.

    Both are the same if I write this in kanji.

  • @taihuu25go

    that's correct, if it is written in Chinese characters they are both written in the exact same way except that since the languages are different, they are pronounced completely differently. But they both mean the same thing essentially :)

  • @PillowTalkSarah

    The reaction that is rare with a Korean.

    The Korean answer of most cases. "Korea taught it to Japan"! "w

    Are you a pure American?

  • Thanks, this has been helpful 2 me...

  • Nice, My best friends come from Korea, but I now know more words than they!

    Greetings from Germany, Berlin.

  • This is really good instruction. I actually learned some Korean!

  • Very helpful is also your engagement in the phonetic spelling as it is written. So it is easier to understand for europeans for example.

    I do very appreciate your efforts!

  • Thanks a lot for the latest lesson. I would like to ask if you could please go through the basics of Korean sentence structure :)

  • Great tutorial as always Sarah. Thank you for the layman explanations too. They are very helpful.

  • Oh yeah... my point was, is Korean structured the same way? subject-object-verb? I know that's like, a lot of steps past what you are trying to teach slow people like me, but I am curious. :>

  • I love these. You are such a good teacher. Can you jump ahead one day and show us the structure? :) I’m not very smart and though I’m trying to learn Korean and Japanese, the Japanese is still giving me trouble with subject-object-verb as opposed to subject-verb-object. Not to mention the whole…not having all the words I’m used to in a sentence. Ouch, my head ^^

  • Love it! :)

  • Keep uploading and keep smiling, this can make up for a bad day ^^ and makes sure that u learn something new every day. Thanks Sarah :D

    Peace

  • I am really enjoying your lessons! Please, keep up the good work!
