  • linlin looks OOOLLLLDDD!

  • I miss them so much, but what is linlin telling Hitomi when Hitomi says Okay?

  • JunJun and RinRin are adorable!! :D I feel bad for JunJun. She said at the end of her part, "I apologize, my Japanese isn't that good. I will try my hardest though!"

  • Hitomiii TwT

  • their japanese are so superb

  • now i really miss linlin and junjun......they've been part of morning musume ever since i first heard of them, so they're graduation kinda hit me

i cried quite a bit, but its all good now

  • 2007-2010. man the memories!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nOW they grauating, and leave back to china. Noooooooo

  • junjun looks kinda like reina..

  • So sad the Panda's are graduation MM

  • Will miss JunLin forever :(

  • haha xD

    I don't get a thing.

    But hitomi is hilarious :)

and junjun is very cute. she must have been really nervous going out there talking in japanese even though she just learned it.^^

  • linlin's voice was really high when she was young, she sounds different now

  • Why are Junjun and Linlin called the "Pandas" ?? I don't understand it. In haromoni@ they apparently were a Lesser panda (junjun) and a toy poddle (linlin)

and Aika was the panda.. so i don't see why these chinese chikcs are called the pandas. explain me please?

  • It is because they're Chinese. There's not really anything else to it. It's just a nickname to use to refer to both of them, since they're special from the group.

As for why "pandas" and not something else, think of it this way: What country do you most associate pandas with?

  • @mayorde18 is linlin and junjun siblings??they both are chinese right?

  • @mayorde18 well honestly, jun jun looks like a cute panda to me.

  • Haha LinLin's so shocked that Yossy is speaking Chinese. XD

Awhhh Junjun is too cute. Struggling to get her words out.~

  • Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but Morning Musume didn't have anything to do with the Rape of Nanjing.

It was a horrible case of pathological brutality, but blaming the entire country for it is fallacious at best, given that most of the Japanese people were not involved in the various acts that took place then, and is the same mentality that the invading Japanese used when slaughtering innocent Chinese people.

  • @GarlixFelix i believe you are right, what happen at that time is a real shame but you can't judge people just because they're fellow man did it, it doesn't mean they will do it as well, i think that what happened there depended on what those people were thinking individually but not as a nation, and Morning Musume belongs to a generation of a world without brutality, they're good people

  • @blackinu09

yeah... but that made me fantasize about MM "doing" Nanking. which would be pretty hot.

  • Yossy is speaking chinese? o.O

  • Junjun was reli strugling wit da jap tho but linlin was more fluent at it... Junjun is soooo great i mean she doesn't even knw how to speak jap fluently and yet she can still work in MM !! sugoi yo!!

  • aww Jun Jun! <3

    (the new Yossie xD haha)

    I miss Yossie :(

Lin Lin's voice was so high pitched there lol

  • RinRins so cute。。。

  • I know I just popped out randomly without being involved in the discussion, but to be honest, I think nobody should judge other's dreams, I understand you don't like it, everyone has different oppinions, but everyone knows how much it hurts when you have a dream and people just tell you you'll never make it. I think it's at least a matter of being plight and respectful.

  • yes agreed..i rly hav a dream to b in H!P..please listen to my fandubs..to prov him wrong

    ~Airi<3

  • @xPinkat plight. lulz.

  • @chiakimomo lol

  • i wan to try n get into morning musume hope i can,im 12 n chinese from singapore

  • in my dreams?listen to my fandubs b4 u say anything

  • who says i dun hav it?not only we mus hav a cute voice,if u cant sing its useless too so dun be an idiot

    ~Airi<3

  • oh n btw im Airi not momo=P

    ~Airi<3

  • Yossie sounds Awesome in Chinese! Oh also poor JunJun well I know she's better now it must be weird for the other members becasue they will be talking in a different language together!

  • Seeing Junjun struggle with her Japanese, lets me know that Icecream Musume's struggle with the language won't last.

  • haha i agree xD cant wait to see Icecream Musume speak japanese smoothly xD

  • u no what wud be cool?

if morning musume sang a song with a little chinese where junjun and linlin can sing it

    i wish that wud happen

  • I would love for that to happen!

I think Junjun and Linlin have very nice singing voices, and hearing them sing in Chinese would be a nice treat and unique.

Unfortunately, the closest we have seen so far is the performance of Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou from last year's summer concert, which did not, in the end, turn out to be a Morning Musume song.

    youtube. com/watch?v=Ys5tv0Ouzbo

Hopefully we get an actual MM song like that sometime soon.

  • yh i hope so to...

  • i cant believe they both sang chinese part of the song

  • @GarlixFelix it's not a MM song? but it's on the platinum 9 disc and 10 my me O.o

wahh JunJun improved soo much on japanese!!! I'm gonna miss JunJun :(

  • @MisaMisa6666 At the time of writing that comment, it wasn't a Morning Musume song yet. It was still only an Ice Creamusume song. :p

  • @GarlixFelix OHH!!!! Oh ok XD

  • @AsianLoveParadise It actually happened ;). The new album "10 My Me" has got a Chinese version of "Ame no Furanai Hoshi da wa aisenai darou?" in it.

  • @MiyukoKDU uhmmm........ur like...really late...cuz i already kno...from the previous reply from my last comment...ndd im not into MoMusu anymore..

  • I'n a bit curious as to why Mika Todd couldn't join but JunJun and LinLin could. Is it because JunJun and LinLin are asian?

  • That might have something to do with it.

Whereas Mika was only half Japanese, Junjun and Linlin are fully Asian, and the plan was to use them to expand more widely into non-Japanese Asian markets with these two, but Coconuts Musume was - so far as I know - for having a group of foreigners rather than to expand into the Hawaiian market.

Or maybe Tsunku just did not have the idea yet back when Mika was still part of Hello! Project. :p

  • Love MM, love the music.... but...the whole only adding Asians is little racist when you think about it. Not that I am saying anything about MM or Tsunku or Up Front or anything, because there's a big emphasis in the East on having a certain degree of conformity within a group... problem here is that we wish they'd let non-Asians into the group too because... well, who doesn't secretly want to be in MM themselves? Heck, I do... but I'm not Asian. :-(

  • That is understandable.

On the other hand, I also understand why they are sticking with only Asians, at least for now. With the announcement of Junjun and Linlin - though not Japanese still two Asian girls - there was a lot of racial backlash.

Junjun had her own blog, and it was filled with multitudinous comments about how she is terrible and should not join because she is Chinese.

Going farther and adding non-Asians would probably cause an even bigger backlash.

  • So why is there all this racial tension in the Japanese idol industry? Was there all this fuss about Mika? Or was it not so much with Mika because she was more of a novelty "international flavor" to a subgroup? So we should definitely forget about the hope of Tsunku picking up an American girl for MM when they're in LA....

  • I think you're about right about Mika. I was not a fan of H!P yet when Coconuts Musume was formed, but I think them being marketed as an international group had almost everything to do with it.

Morning Musume is still seen by many people in Japan as being a quintessential Japanese group. Instead of Junjun and Linlin joining a brand new group, they were put in a group that was already very famous.

(I'm too wordy. I will finish in my next comment.)

  • Couple this with the tensions that already exist between China and Japan (which exist for various reasons), and a backlash like this is not surprising.

Not that xenophobia or racial/national discrimination is acceptable, but it is real and affects H!P.

Fortunately, most of those that disliked Junjun and Linlin because of their nationality do not seem to have affected much of anything at all.

As for an American girl for MM... I definitely would not bet on it yet. Maybe during the second trip. :p

  • I completely agree with you ,and secondly I like your wordiness(wow I'm surprised wordiness is a word).

  • i wouldn't say they're racist or anything... but i do not think that tsunku is being fair...

we find h!p members from taiwan, china, and of course from japan, but we don't see any auditions for h!p happening in hong kong, USA, Canada, Australia, Europe... I really hope that one day H!P can be an international agency that has singers from all around the world XD

  • oh wait. i just remembered. there's Mika and Danielle... lol

well at least, i hope that MM has singers from all around the world... it would be way more fun that way XD

  • hk is china. by the way. These are for yellow asians. putting white girl might be a bit ~~~~~~~. sry, im just speaking the truth. i dont meant racist

  • ... of course i know hk is part of the People's Republic of China

but usually when we say China we mean the mainland. and hk is a special administrative region.

and i think putting a white girl in may be very fun!!! XD

  • ????

thats too much too many countries too many flavoures and problems you can see all the chaios just with the girls from japan

and do you think the girls from japan dont represent those from HongKong which is chinese and taiwan which is very close in to china in many ways what u do is pick a country which could represent a group

but i thought they would get a korean member at least

  • Who knows, maybe someday it will be true. At least I will try to get to Momusu... someday. At least then when I move to Japan.

  • loool.

    Yeah, sure, do that.

  • Come on, you're just another chick who hope to become a caucasian morning musume... Face it, a european H!P would be pathetic.

  • Is there a problem with my dream?

  • LOLL, the audience didn't applause. XD

  • QUESTION

What exactly is the point of joining Morning Musume when your 19?

Ummm won't she be graduating in like two years @_@.

  • It's a good question, but I do not think she necessarily will.

Granted, Natsumi was 23, and Kaori was 24 when they both graduated. Now that Junjun is 21, she *is* only two years away from Nacchi's graduation age, but I think there is a possibility that Junjun will stay in the group for a bit longer if nothing more than because she has no reason to leave (she is not a soloist and not either the leader or subleader).

At least, I really hope she stays with the group for a long time. :p

  • Eh I guess lol xDDDDD.

I really just hope Reina and Eri stay for a long time.

    I LOVE THEM! :3.

  • 一个湖南妹子 一个浙江妹子 呵呵

  • Lin Lin face look very similar to Ayaka, isin't it?

    they seems parents o_O

  • Hahaha didn't think of that, but, I think Ayaka's cuter....

  • is hitomi. yossie?

  • JunJun talks like she can't breathe... X3

  • xie xieeee! ^^ hehe they are cute

  • wow yossie!! linlin kawaii!!

  • when new members are introduced, are they always wearing school uniforms?

  • JunJun kawaii. ^^

  • Their Japanese has improved sooooooooo much. :0

  • what did yossie say in chinese o-o

  • I can't understand what Yossie said in the first two phrases, but the last phrase meant to please introduce yourself.

  • Wooow, JunJun is so adorable! *____*

  • this is a good way to improve sino-japanese relationship..chinese n japanese should set aside differences n understand each other more.

  • WOW!!!

    Her chinese sounds great!

I don't understand.. but it was

    SO good! =]

  • Jun Jun & Lin Lin both seems blank when being asked a question in Japanese. er... uh... ah-huh... I sweat for them.

  • I don't mean 2 sound racist or nything, but why would Tsunku hire chinese girls to sing in japanese. Wouldn't it be harder for them? If u think thats a stupid question sorry. I just found out about the group recently.

  • he's trying to make momusu more international, i think. it's not a stupid question of you ^___^

  • arigato

  • It's not really hard, as long as they can speak their language.

  • I remember this, but not how terrible their Japanese was at the time :O They have really improved a lot in a short time!

  • I know this particular video was supposed to be about JunJun and LinLin but Yossie's chinese really just made me smile!

  • I LOVE LINLIN RO MUCHHHH!!!

    KAWAII!!

I thought that it was so sweet cute

how Jun Jun was so good at Japanese,

but I had a little hard time understanding

    her...

  • OH man Cant wait to see the next generation of morning musume and all asian pop gurl group just think of it japanese/chinese/korean/thai/laotian/Vietnamese love to see wat cute gurls they'll get on the next generation

  • Hello, there wont be thai, laotian, vietnamese. As Tsunku mentioned, they wanted to target the Asia market. Therefore, they hire chinese as in general. If they do, I will think the Taiwanese will be next generation but chances is rare.

  • I hope they get someone who can at least speak Korean xP The Wonder Girls think they can take over Asia, but I'm against my own race xD

  • But as i think, if any girls from any asian country has both talent and cute face including japanese language as well, Why not? It depends on the tsunku's requirement.

  • haiz. i wish i can be one of morning musume^^ fils can oso right? haha.

  • dear ladypearlQQ.

XD! You can post your picture and resume to Japan music company related to MM.

I'm thinking wonder if Tsunku plans to hire an indian girl to join mm lol! I bet it's gonna be special.

  • RITE ON cute gurl rock

  • And moreover, Tsunku has hired a korean girl in MM before but i dont know what generation it is. Can you ellaborate about The Wonder Girls? Are they korean group singers?

If mm can make their debut why not the wonder girls? I hope to see rising star who can really challenge MM. xD!

  • The Wonder Girls are an upcoming girl group in Korea that people are going CURRAZYYYY over. Still, I like Morning Musume so much better because they have better singers and have Hello! Project, which I'm like, falling in love with xP

  • how old are junjun & linlin?

  • Junjun is currently 19 and will turn 20 on the eleventh of February.

Linlin is currently 16 and will turn 17 on the eleventh of March.

  • thats krazy!!=S

    they look so young!!

    i was thinking like 15-16

  • Hahaha. Seriously. The first time I saw a picture of Junjun, I thought she was about 12.

I was shocked to find out that she was going to be the third oldest member (Miki was still around at the time). :p

  • 全然盛り上がってねえwwww

  • Why are they calling them with their nicknames? Their names are Li chun & Qian lin.

  • So far as I know, the nicknames partially came about to be, in a sense, their "Japanese names." I think it's partially to help integrate them in some way (the use nicknames making them feel more familiar with the other girls, for example) and because those names are easier for Japanese people to pronounce because the Japanese language doesn't have the L sound.

That last part may be a bit wrong, though, because I don't know very much Japanese.

  • Another thing that I just thought of it that that doesn't do a very good job explaining the name "*L*in*L*in," does it?

I think that would go beyond just pronouncing the L differently and just be that "Qian Lin" might be more difficult to say for Japanese people than "Rinrin."

I hope that made sense. As can be seen with how long it took me to think of this point at all, my think-box isn't putting thoughts together so well right now.

  • perhaps because it's hard for the japanese to pronounce their names properly. have you ever tried pronouncing chinese? damn hard as ever these girls can make you.

  • They both ARE Chinese, and Jun Jun and Lin Lin make cute nicknames for them! Those are their stage names in MoMusu.

  • their names sound like a typical panda name

  • I totally agree with you! xD

But thats because panda names always use one chinese character.

Junjun..I'm not sure..but Rinrin is a japanese anime character name. (Rinrin from Bleach..ring a bell?)

  • Chun is pronounced with a j sound xD

  • omg thatd be cool if they imported ABC's......i hope one day tsuku decides to bring ABC's to the group....lol

  • Linlin and junjun the 8th generation of morning musume from China. The next generation maybe from taiwan?

  • LOL! thai has no close relation at all. they imported koreans and chinese so far. they might imported foreign girls again when after junjun and linlin graduated. If not you'll get a ABC group. LOL!!

  • Ahhh :D SO cute!

  • oh my gawd, junjun is so effin cute.

  • she is !!!

  • JUN IS GREAT!!!! I'm waiting for the next MM single.. as , in my opinion she's one of the best current voices in the band, she would get more lines.

  • They'd only been in Japanese two months when this was filmed, so of course they couldn't speak Japanese. They're taking lessons and learning it and they're nearly fluent now (if you listen to LinLin's Uta Doki DJ stuff, even though it's scripted)

  • I haven't seen anything recent from them, but it's great that they're nearly fluent now.

  • yeah, they are pretty good now. Especially LinLin.

but Junjun is teh shit ! She owns Morning Musume into the ground, fucking cutest thing I've ever seen. <3

  • those are some funny "yay"z

  • haha....Ai-chan is very cute...

Please watch another clip of junjun and linlin in youtube (watch?v=sALVC1mrl4Q)

oh....many janpanese like them...and you can see Risa and Sayu are friendly to them in the clip....

  • WOOT JUNJUN GOOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!

  • yeah, alot of the videos I have seen of Junjun ad Linlin they sound like they are just spitting out rehearsed Japanese lines.

  • junjun kawaii

  • LOL...yossie really talked chines to them!!

  • Junjun looks alot like Horita Maki. Did i get her name right? anyways she looks like Maki.

  • yeah a little. i always thought she looked rather japanese-ish. while linlin looked more typical chinese-ish. hard to put into words but you know what i mean.

  • Japanese people have different noses and head shapes, I guess?

  • you can tell Linlin is ready for this, Junjun seems nervous!

  • honestly,no idea why HP picked junjun? she is not the HP type of girl
