Recently bought an 'ol Vic like this one at a yardsale for 5 bucks......but mine's missing the entire piece where the needle screws in,that flip-down piece, not the black/silver horn that comes up around the back.. by any chance would you know where in the world I could find a replacement?? In your opoion, do you think it would still sound decently,or make it work better if I were to replace the warped, molded wood with a new piece I were to make myself?
President Wilson's daughter proves to be a charming performer with excellent diction! We shall overlook her tyrannical and racist father, who ruined America forever.
What a thrill to hear. I'm a huge fan of Ms. Wilson and her good and wonderful works for Democratic causes and our soldiers. Very nice voice, too. Thanks for sharing and bringing to all an important part of our national history and true Americana. Best wishes, Leslie
I was born and raised in Kentucky, and have lived here most of my life. I am glad to see that our song is so appreciated by so many people. Thank you for posting this recording.
Seawind0721, I'm very glad you enjoyed it. It is a wonderful number, steeped in so much history and a great part of our national heritage. Something for which Kentucky should be rightfully proud!
Ichron, This was released sometime in later 1917. IIRC a pressing of this recording with a special label was sold to raise money for the Red cross during the World War. This pressing may be later. Sorry I forgot to add that to the descriptive. I hope you enjoyed the clip.
i rated this a 5. i looked it up because of a wonderful version of this song in looney toons (just search "banned bugs bunny"). now i'm hungry for crispy chicken.
Phil.., Thank you for your kind words & rating. And THANK YOU for your service to our great land!!!!! You're the one who deserves the stars. Regards, J.
Fedtrooper, Sorry, just now read you message. Yes, you are right, I meant to put that in the descriptive paragraph. There is another issue of this record with a special label I would love to get someday. Regards, J.

Its not a dem or rep voice but one of the people, and she would be happy to us talking about her song.

When was the recording made? It sounds pretty dated and has the original lyrics.

Did some websearching on the Wilson family. She was Woodrow's daughter. Died in 1944.
