  • i used to watch him in a local Indiana bar. a lot of fun

  • Get well Henry!! You've got way too much talent as a singer to let it all go to shit!!!!

  • morning dyslexia. thought it said 1989.

  • om..duh...never mind

  • pretty sure it wasn't 1998...

    had to be after 1990

  • Friends, Friends, Friends, Thats our good buddy Henry Lee Summer. Great Singer and writer. Its difficult to see he didnt handle things the best in the world, but he is human. Take each day one at a time. Take pride in yourself!!!!!!! When you look in the mirror like who you see. God Bless Henry!

  • just read about his drug problems back in 2006/2009-

just sad- i really enjoyed his music back in the 80ties...

  • Hang in there Henry Lee Summer ... we love you still, and we're pulling for you.

  • poor hank hes a crack head now, how the hell that ever happen

  • I like Henry lee....thought (wish i had a girl) was a great song...god bless HLS and i wish him well and all the best.... hope he gets back on track, and give us some more reasons to WALK LIKE THAT !!!!!!!

  • There was a day when Henry Lee owned Inianapolis, he has some great songs and packed everywhere he played, Henry needs to get back to rockin

  • Does he still perform and make music?

  • great song henry..

love rick, bones and of course...zanna!!

  • I've been a fan since I first saw him at a small club in Ontario, Canada. He is such a talented singer, songwriter and performer. He has such energy and his music is fun and passionate.

I hope he can feel all the positive energy and hope heading his way from all his fans, past and present.

Take care Henry, we're all with ya!

  • Part II

Henry is hands down one of the finest vocalists is this style that ever walked the earth. Guess what people, show biz is a hell of a way to make a lining - and Henry has accomplished more than most. We should be praying for him and wishing him and the untold tens of thousands of people that have been and are debilitated by this terrible drug our best in their fight to overcome. Hey Elbow - it's Big D (your side door guy from C.T. Peppers) wishing you a speedy recovery from Austin TX.

  • I was actually back stage during this taping at the Vogue theater and Henry and the band never sounded better. And yes that's Ricki Benick from Roadmaster on lead guitar.

  • i saw him back in 90 and he rocked....what the hell is this

  • he was doing drugs back in the day, just didnt get caught!

  • yes it is. say what you want about henry, but very few people write songs, get a deal and sell hundreds of thousand records, get on letterman, do promotional tours, hair, makeup, photo and video shoots. then come home and still have more than one, top draw cover bands. Let's give henry love and wish him well. he's still singing and drummin and sounding Fucking great.

  • is that former Roadmasterer Rick Benick on guitar?

  • whats he been up to the last twenty years besides doing meth?

  • yep and resisted arrest tooo he is in trouble

  • back in the marion co lockup! easy boys,,easy boys

  • Henry Lee used to go canoeing and swimming at my parents boat rental when I was a kid. He had just come out with this song and we all fell in love with him!

  • The chick singing background is HOT!

  • She is,but she needs to learn some better moves. She dances like a broken down stripper,lol...plus she could use some singing lessons as well.

  • The best band was when my mom,(Mimi) was in the band!

  • I agree...I used to DJ at Bentleys on the SouthSide and Razz on the westside. Henry would play there every couple of months, that was when your mom was with the band...That was the best...Your mom was the nicest!!!

    Good memories.

  • use to set up for the Buchinghams and in a huge barn converted to a concert hall in Embares Wisc, this band was warming up with a girl singer on keys,I thought the Buchs were headlining but it was Henry lees band and when he showed up the place went up for grabs he rocked then and does still,Henry how bout gettin to n/w Indiana soon.Oh the Buchinghams rocked too.

  • who's the chick?

  • Does anyone have a video or an audio of Hey Baby?

  • I was wondering that, too. That was a hit for him, and I would like to hear the tune again. Please someone---get that song/video up on Youtube! :)

  • Yeah! That would be great! I love hearing Henry Lee again! It really does bring back back many memories!!!!

  • anyone know where he went?

  • #!*%ing awesome musician!

  • What a talented musician !!! Loved him back in the day. Wish he'd come back to Cincinnati.

  • Regional acts usually do it better! Hank is the epitome of that. I used go see him once a week at local bar. He is always good.

  • this is awesome, I'm glad someone posted it on myspace... I almost didn't even recognize Zanna! Henry is great...

  • Hmmm.

  • Saw and got to meet Henry Lee a few times in 1988 thru 1990. By far the most awesome live performer ever. I attended Appalachian State University at that time and he played there at least twice during that time. Opened for Chicago in the fall of 1988 and even the App State Yearbook raves how most students agreed that Henry Lee was the main attraction that night. The audience actually was chanting "Henry, Henry, Henry" after his second encore. and some even boo'd Chicago. Just ordered DVD.

  • I worked for a sound & lighting company years ago and did about 5 shows with Henry at the Back Door Bar in Sault ste. Marie Michigan . Well Ive done alot of shows over the years and still none have even come close to the show Henry puts on HE IS ONE OF A KIND.

Henry if you read this please e-mail me It would be great to talk. Scott

  • The show was awesome back then. How time flies by and how quick things change.:( If anyone has seen him recently please contact the Indy Metro PD. They would like to talk to Mr. Mojo

  • Wow! Blast from the past...I know my friend and I have had to be there...I don't think we ever missed Henry at The Vogue!

  • I agree! I never take the LIVE CD SET out of my changer! I saw him live at the Madam Carroll a couple of years ago and he tore it up! Rock on, HLS!

  • Henry Lee is still the greatest musician around..love all his songs.

  • HLS can't be appreciated until you see him live. He blew away the other performers at Farm Aid IV (1990). Other perfomers included Bonnie Raitt, John Mellencamp, John Hiatt, Carl Perkins, Arlo Guthrie, Garth Brooks, John Denver, Bill Monroe, Alan Jackson, Asleep at the Wheel, Jackson Browne, Willie Nelson, Elton John, Lou Reed, Don Henley, Crosby Still & Nash, Neil Young, Guns N' Roses.

  • Actually i bet he would love to turn the clock back to this time in his life. Things haven't been so good for poor HLS lately. When was this filmed?

  • Shot in November of 1998. You can get the full show on dvd from his web site. And no, I don't work for Henry nor benefit from its sale. :)

  • I used to work with Henry 30 years ago. He hasn't change one bit.

  • This is the Henry Lee we all grew to love and adore! If you are ever in the area, you can see him and his side bands playing at Lulu's in Indianapolis almost every week. Also the female singer formerly known as Spare Rib has her own band called Zanna Doo that plays in the area as well. So if you want to really party hardy likes its 1999 check 'em out. So much fun.

  • Man! how come Henrys'not still puttin' out the tunes and touring? god he rocks.

  • Henry UR A BAD DUDE

  • This song is so great!!!!
