@Bimbyk im pretty sure someone already named them for me, and consoles...they can suck my dick for all i care, they will be NO where near as powerful as a pc, even upon release. and why waste $200 more dollars when i can put it somewhere else? like 2 470's that would beat a 5970? seeing as how the 5970 is essentially 2 5850's...and the 470 beats the 5850 in every test...the power..who cares? id like to go around saying that me computer takes 1500 watts..because it sounds fucking cool

@Bimbyk Wrong. GTX 480 destroys 5870 by 20% in most games. The FEW games that 5870 are similar to 480 is due to the fact that GTX 480 lacks new drivers at the moment. Don't forget Physx, Cuda, 3D etc as well.. Let drivers mature 480. I estimate an average of 30-35% over 5870 with new drivers.. I saw 15-20% increase with my old GTX 275's in sli with new drivers, so this is something we all can expect.

GTX 480/470 is the most ambitious and complex consumer available GPUs on the planet. Labor of love and years of work. The 400 series truly loves DX11, and DX11 is the future. Tesselation? No problem. Bring it on... real heavy!

@Bimbyk DX11 games released: Battleforge; Stalker; Dirt 2; Battlefield Bad Companies 2; Alien VS Predators, Metro 2033, Lord Of The Ring,... DX11 has come out for 6 months, so this means at least one title is released per month and plenty will come out in 2010, check AMD or Nvidia's page, game developers have both companies' support to use DX11 in their games including titles ported from console (Nvidia even has their own program to encourage games to be ported to PC).

@growingup2204 battleforge is 10.1 Well, even though dx11 IS launching nicely, the main user of dx11 that is a real game is metro 2033. FULL utilization of dx11 (others only partly use it, like bfbc2 uses it for soft shadows THATS IT, and dirt 2 uses it only for the people, and some displacement mapping). That is why metro 2033 should be the idol for dx11, next to the unigine (which some people speculated was just an engine, not a game therefore dx11 hasnt fully launched). but metro changes that

@Bimbyk Fermi completely outperforms 5870 in tests ! In DX9,10, it is 10-15% faster than 5870, in DX11 it is 30%-100% faster, even 470 sometimes beats 5870. 5970 wouldn't be smarter as it is a dual gpu-card which means you have to wait for CF driver to have the second gpu recognized in newest games, it doesnt have PhysX, it's just 5-10% faster than 480 in DX11 for $200 over the 480. When it comes to this level of user, dont talk about power, the faster the better and remember these r DX11 vgas

@Bimbyk ok lets be realistic, DX11 is the new gen of graphics software....consoles will NEVER place high tessellation on their line ups...its always been that way with their graphics..its never up to par with PC...and there are PLENTY...PLENTY of games coming out with tessellation...and that was the whole reason ati came out with the 5xxx series..tessellation..and obviously even tho its still on a 40nm chip it seems to be pulling its weight pretty decently..seein how its out performing the 5870
