@gribae i wouldn't say she retired. just talked to her and she said she trains in the gym in her hometown of Sibiu.maybe a comeback,she's not sure yet.

@Kamadeva01 Here's hoping she will return in the next few years. She (and Dariya Zgoba of Ukraine) was one of the only reasons why I watched gymnastics and the sport doesn't feel the same without her anymore.

No, its the other way around: Stella did it first, amongst others, I think Yulia Lozecko was another, but it definitely ISNT Nastia's signature move. It was a new move for Nastia when it was included in her routine, but Nastia is definitely not the inventor of it:)

@ralucagymnast Nastia's was "piked" and Steliana's was tucked. It is no longer called the Liukin however because it was rated as a D but the FIG feels it is no longer an appropriate skill. I don't know why...

@ShawnVikaKomova2012 The FIG considers the skill a combination of a front pike with a take-off from one foot + scale as opposed to 05-08 when it was considered as one element. Since combinations don't get named after the orignator, there is no Liukin in WAG. Though her name was in the Named Elements section of the CoP.

@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Yup like all D-salto to one foot + scale. I think now though the scale has to be to a 180 split like a needle scale or Preziosa's scale after her aerial cartwheel.

@ShawnVikaKomova2012 No! That sounds great for Iordache! I saw a video of Semenova and she looks back to her 2009 shape! In an interview with Rodionenko and Alexandrov, it seems like they have a lot of faith in Semenova making Worlds. There was also a video of Mustafina doing some aerial cartwheels on a high beam with her huge knee brace and doing some turns on floor.

@TsubasaDreams Yeah! I was just reading about Semenova and how she lost most of her excess weight! I love Semenova so much! I hope she doesn't have crappy dance like in 2010, but the beautiful one from 2009 or the fun one from 2008. I saw the video of Mustafina as well. She's such a fighter.
