I could be wrong but I think there was a bbc special which had different types of religious leaders and non-religious people as well, to discuss organized religion on a global scale. They had a bunch of polls from around the world and I remember Nigeria having a 95% + rating, with people who believe in God. It seemed many African countries hold strong Islamic/Christian beliefs.
