  • Awesome! I never thought about egg carton!! I just recycle them. Now I know what to do with them, thanks!

  • @ghostofpaulrevere yeah they work great! Oh but make a slit in the bottom to help the roots come out

  • I love this video! I do the same like you I recycle all kindsa stuff!

  • @dulce3tat That's great! I have a lot of stuff waiting for when I get an idea lol!

  • I'm having some problems with the toilet paper rolls today. Came downstairs and a lot of them have fuzzy white mold on the outside. Have you run into this before? I'm thinking I might have to do transplants sooner than I thought.

  • @steen1973 I did, but only when they are a long time in high humidity. But once they go in the dirt and normal humidity the problem dissapear.

  • yay for tim hortons! if you bring a plastic cup, you miss out on the "roll up the rim" contest! :)

You had some good ideas. I know some people use the coffee container for their indoor compost. It's a good idea.

  • I just subscribed to you, would love to keep in contact we are doing some things very similar!

  • @GettingThereGreen Thanks for the sub....oh and they'll give you an empty cup if you bring your own ;)

  • Very clever!! Great ideas!

  • @rawutah Thanks I bring a lot of this stuff from work too !

  • Put into my Gardening playlist

  • @GVB1939 awsome!

  • Interesting video

  • @GVB1939 Thanks

  • I'm looking forward to your gardening videos. :D I have to remember to start my seeds early this year but I might try to grow them using a hydroponic system, only if I have money, though. Great tipds, by the way. Also....I don't like Folgers coffee :(.

  • @ShadowVampira lol.....too bad you don't have an outdoor space like a fire escape or even a roof....because the sun costs nothing ;) And I'm not sure how healthy is hydroponic stuff compaired to real dirt. =)

  • Yeah, when my building was built, it was much more modern, so ours doesn't have a fire escape. Only the old buildings in New York have fire escapes. :(

  • @ShadowVampira Well that's no fun....the roof maybe?

  • There's an alarm system that won't let anyone up in the roof, and if people do go up there, it's usually the druggies who go up there to go into their "happy place". It really sucks living in the city. All I want is a space outside to grow things T_T.

  • @ShadowVampira Lol the druggies would eat your vegetables.....I guess then it's gonna take a windows....ya know they sell special neon tube that simulates the sun....and you just use a pan with dirt in it....would be way less expansive than hydroponics.

  • I will have to look into those neon tubes then, thanks.

  • @ShadowVampira I have one and will be making a rack for it soonish =)

  • see, as you know already.. I'm cheap, so this is perfect for me. The paper rolls are a very cool idea! Good job. Lookin' forward to more.

  • @berean73 eh eh eh thanks and cheap is smart in my book LOL!

  • Good ideas! I'm starting to save paper rolls now. There's one thing I found the other day I think I might try as well. I'll send you the link (or try to anyway).

  • @steen1973 .....K great!
