  • It's amazing but I feel sorry for the young girl because I think that she should have learnt how to appreciate her natural hair first before doing this.

  • wha state are u in

  • @dddysprincess4

    Connecticut

  • I have a couple of questions: 1.is that lil girl mixed or completly African America? is this a chemical process...meaning it is perminatly changing the texture of the hair? and if so... why do you re-process the hair that already has already been processed?

  • @fitLejacque She is completely African American. I have been taking care of Torie's hair since was a baby. This is the japanese Straightening & yes it's permanently changes the texture. the product I am applying on the mid shaft down to the ends is a protection cream. Protecting the hair against over lapping or absorbing the chemical during the rinsing.

  • @hairstalent i'm 19 and my hair has been relaxed since i was 12 but not always when it should be i get it done twice every year but it should be done every 3 months.. i have so much breakage that my hair is all on the bathroom floor but it stays the same length so i know my hair is growing but it's kinda sad. ive been taking care of my hair recently and i can see it slowly recovering but is this method okay to transfer to after relaxers ?

  • @1DaNyA Yes it is okay for me to do this service but I am not suggesting that you have a friend or a non qualified Thermal Reconditioning stylist. It is very important that you go to a TR specialist other wise you might have the same results as your previous relaxers. I do not provide these video so clients start doing Thermal in their kitchen . Please be very careful who you go to, to have this service done and if they never did this service before then they are not qualified. run!

  • Thank u sooo much I also have a fb with more pics solutionzbombweave

and I will call u so I can order it im n cosmotology school now working to get to where u r thanks so much gina you were my inspiration for the thio treatment

  • Her hair looks GORGEOUS- no breakage, no damage. A Japanese thermal, when done by an experienced stylist is actually less damaging than using flat irons, blow dryers or relaxers. I had a thermal & the flat iron scared me lol. But after that I could just let my hair air dry & it dried straight & sleek without a blow dryer or flat iron. I got a thermal about 2x per year, so that's not a lot of heat.

  • And why are you processing the part that was already processed? The ends have already been straightened - don't over process it. Ahh geez!

Really wished her mom had decided to use no chemicals since as you said, she does have beautiful hair. Oh well.

  • Rather have seen a teen or adult. Blow drying and flat iroing a 9 year old's hair seems like a bit much. Wont she have to do that at least once a week to keep the look. Hate to see what her hair looks like at 14. Fried. Did you say she was given a sodium hydroxide relaxer at 6? I'm old fashioned because someone told me their friend relaxed a 2 year old and I couldn't believe it.

  • @MisMupp Japanese Straightening - Thermal Reconditioning. You can visit our web site & learn more about this service which saves heat time. Say it takes Torie's mom 2-3 hrs to blow out/flat iron, only for it to swell up during her activities. It now take 1/2 & hair does not swell after it's styled. Her bl/out will last longer,my opinion this is much healthier then braiding.& while child is twisting in bed her hair is stretching&tearing. Some leave braids in child's hair for months. Hair's Talent

  • I WISH U WERE IN NEW YORK! REALLY NEED A GOOD HAIR SALON TO GO TOO!

  • They did a very good job, and no you don't have to be African American to do this. This is great they should have more people in general learning how to deal with ethnic hair..

  • @AfroCuban78 Thanks for your comment

    Hair's Talent

  • @hairstalent You're very welcome.

  • not trying tooo sound racidt because i am an african american myself...butt wowww you doo ann amazingg jobb onn african american hair!(:

  • white people love black people with longer hair i have proof it happens to me all the time lol :)

  • what's the name of the relaxer ?

  • oh my goodness! her hair is so smooth! i didnt think it could be done. thats amazing

  • how do we know yu didnt blowdry it STRAIGHT and then showed us the results after yu washed her hair?

  • love the results! her hair looked great even at the blow drying process. i'm just wondering about damaging her hair with all that heat.

  • what relaxer was used ?

  • almost better than black hair stylist. love it

  • @TamekaLasonya I was like damn can she do my hair....

  • @TamekaLasonya Um way better, many non black stylists actually take the time to go to beauty school and do not cut corners when buying quality products like many black hair salons do. My got in a huge dispute with my last hair dresser because she used TWO different brands of relaxer on my hair because she didn't have enough of one to relax it in the first place AND never told me! I lost all my hair. But it all grew back. HUGE lesson learned

  • Yes, Gina is the best. She does my hair now & I would never let another stylist touch it.

  • it does work! but i think they had a reason for saying it cant be used on African american hair

  • What do you think of chris rock's movie now? For me it was very educational.

  • WHERE CAN YOU BUY THIS PRODUCT??? DO THEY DO THIS IN MASSACHUSETTS???

  • can u make a video for biracial hair

  • hey can you put that thing on previously relaxed hair?

  • Is this safe to do the day after removing braids (I had kinky twists right now). I read somewhere that you want to give your hair a week before a RELAXER and that a keratin straightening system is fine.

Also, what exactly is this technique? Is it Japanese straightening? A Brazilian Blowout? Or is it Chi Enviro?

  • @undertakenheart2 A Japanese Straightening,

  • im 20 and have been natural for almost 3 years. is this like a relaxer and does it damage the hair like relaxers?

  • @donnad23 This is not a sodium hydroxide relaxer, it is a Thio Based Straightening

  • can you please make a video on hot comb african american hair (virgin)

  • @Jacqueboo29 As soon as we get settled in our new location

  • It is really sad that you have to deal with such stupidity from people bc they have personal issues but i wanted to know what is the best way to contact you i don't live in your state but i would love to get your input and advice on some products and hair care...i sent a msg and email

  • what type of chemicals are u using? is it ammonium thioglyoclate (sp) type perm? Thanks.

  • @gogoutube Yes That's right

  • hi i am a african american 20 year old girl and my hair has a lot of breakage and split ends what can i do to help my hair and i get a relaxer ever 4 or 5 months cause that what my mom told me i need

  • @mztaytayduh27 Do you color your hair?

Are you over lapping? Are you leaving the relaxer on to long?

Are you doing the nape and the edges first?

  • @hairstalent no i do not color my hair . im not over lapping and we leave the relaxer on for about 10 12 mins

  • Do you know how to do natural kinky curly hair without putting a relaxer in it?

  • @NaturallyKai124 Absolutely!

  • Hi, I have very curly hair and wondering if this treatment would be safe for my hair. I have blonde highlights and everyone says i cant get it done because of this. Please reply! Thankyou

  • @MissCurlz33 I agree with them, Mixing bleach with any other chemical service is dangerous.

  • someone gased! i heard it

  • i love this woman !

  • Waow what a hair !!!

  • I respect your hustle. But Oh PLEASE do not patronize us and act like you CARE about the state of black hair. You can save your spiel about having a “passion for healthy hair” and please kiss my black ass while you’re at it. If you really gave two fucks about the heath of curly, tightly coiled hair, you would know that it is at its HEALTHIEST in its NATURAL (not chemically altered) state.

  • @shonworld I'm sorry you're so upset by my sincere intentions.I repect your coment that hair is at it's heathist when natural. Although, many woman with tightly coiled hair that have gone natural are battleing with problems with thier scalps, because of unhealthy hair & scalp care which also causes breakage & damage to the hair health. As far as this video goes, I am comparing a sodium hydroxied relaxer to a Thermal Reconditioning. not a Thermal Reconditioning to natural hair texture.

  • @hairstalent I'm not upset about your "sincere intentions". I know your sincere intention is to make money off black women and girls. I don't like it, but business is business. I can't be angry at you for taking advantage of the market out there for your service. I'm angry that you are being INsincere about your intentions. I don’t respect the PRETENSE that you CARE about the health of black hair. Just please save that bull.

  • Awwwww. What a nice white lady to care about the health of black hair. You have a passion for healthy black hair…so sweet. I’m sure the fact that black hair care is a multi-billion dollar industry & the recent backlash against relaxers leaves an opening in the market for anyone offering a safer alternative to make major bank by stepping in & exploiting the insecurity black women & girls have about their own naturally kinky, curly, tightly coiled hair didn’t figure into your mind at all.

  • @shonworld Please check out my web site & get to know me a little better before judging me & my intentions. I have been a stylist for 36 yrs. & have been dealing with reverse races remarks for years & it hasn't stoped my heart for my passion yet.Everyone has a right to their own opinion but judging me like this is offencive & hurtful.

  • @hairstalent Reverse racism? Do you even know what reverse racism is or what it means? I think what you mean is I'm being prejudice not racist. You think I made a prejudgment that you don't care about the health of black hair because you're white. You're right. I'm not ashamed to say I think you don't care about health of black hair because 1) you are straightening it, 2) you're white.

  • @hairstalent I don’t expect you to care about the health of black hair. Why would you? Its not your problem. I don’t judge you for that. But I absolutely judge you for the pretense that you CARE about black hair. If you feel offended, GOOD. That's my intent.

  • @shonworld I have clients calling & emailing me from all over the world. I take my time, talk to them & give them my professional advice be/c I love what I do.I receive no money for my time, only pure pleasure connecting with woman & sharing my knowledge. I love making a difference. If you think that's corney, so be it, but that's who I am.

  • @hairstalent Of course you do. At $350 - 800 a person, its in your best interest to take time, be nice and professional. I get that you are a smart business person. Absolutely I understand your hustle.

  • @shonworld Although it's sad & you're right, there are alot of people in the world looking for money making skeams for the wrong intentions but I'm not one of them. Think about it, if that was the case after 35 years doing black hair do you really think I would be spending my time sharing on You Tube, ...NOoo I would be out spending my billions :) Gotta love Ya , Have a good day oaky and be nice to people we only live once and Santa is watching!!!

  • THANK YOU YOU ARE IN CT WHERE I LIVE !

  • @hellokaka33 I'm using the Japanese Straightening System. Thermal Recondition by Liscio and Alicail

  • Is the TR bio ionic kerasmooth product being used?

  • Haha, you don't NEED to put the flat iron to her hair after blow-drying... did you see that child's beautiful head of hair?!?!

  • @Mamasita5678 It's part of the procedure, this is a chemical straightening not just a blow out. Although, even if I were to do a Blow out on her hair I would still use a flat iron to give the hair shine and really set the hair in a straight direction.

  • @hairstalent still, that's just putting more heat to it... for shine why not spray some sheen or something else?? Cuz I mean her hair just looked straight and healthy and everything!!

  • @Mamasita5678 It's part of the straightening procedure, you have to use the flat iron to set the hair straight and help to change the bods in the hair so that it stays permanent.

  • 9 years old!!! My child would not be getting that done until she is 15 years old

  • @glazese Thanks for your comment.

Everyone has their own preference and agenda

  • Hi! I'm 12 yearsold and I was wondering if there are any other salons that offer this? I live in WI and yes I am African American..

  • @perrdedr I'll put your name on my list in case a stylist from your area comes to one of my classes, okay

  • Gina, at 4:51, your comment about Thermal Reconditioning being done on new roots of hair growing out relaxer...so it cannot be done on virgin hair?

  • how much is this treatment ............

  • @Yana3may It depends on previous chemical, texture length and condition of your hair.

My prices start at $450. and keep in mind this is not a Keratin nor a Brazilian, it is permanent and will last in your hair until you cut it out.

  • There's maybe not such thing of good and bad hair. But taking care of black hair is a lot a budget. Tell me please how many did she paied for this hair salon session and the products use too take care of. I have black hair but my biggest problem is that i don't have the budget to take care of black hair (hair salon and finding the good products).

  • @celia75017 I understand, You guys have knowledge right at your finger tips. Research & teach yourself, ask questions, take notes, read & you will find the answers to help you take care of your own hair or even better, go to a Hair Academy & ask the teacher if they can use you as a model. Tell them they can use your hair health yourney on a You Tube Video as an advertizment They can shwocase not only a style change but also a hair health change. A learning experience for all of you.

  • African American hair can be long with or without a straightner. Not all people with "bad hair" wear weave or glue and sew in tracks. This lady sounds so ignorant to be a so called stylist.

  • @Glambeaulicious You're absolutly right, although I was talking about the condition of her hair if she had done a relaxer instead of a Thermal . Not if she had grown out her hair naturally instead of a thermal reconditioning

  • o my god. the lady that's talking sounds like the most concieted bitch!

  • Victoria is really pretty :D

  • @irishgirl2050 I agree!

  • Wish I had the money to get my 7 year old done

  • @mskells75 Buy gift cards once a month, they add up. With everythingg in life there is always a need for a plan. You can have anything you want just think about it and plan it out, it will happen. In my life I made a plan and set a goal every 2 years and it happened just the way I planed. I look back and still don't know how I did it but it was done. The saying goes " ask and you shall receive" right, you've heard that before?

  • She got sum long as hair. N ithought its bad luck fa 2 ppl ta do 1 head. N to not get perm on yur handz hmm?

  • @MsSwagga111 @MsSwagga111 If you think bad luck then so it be, don't think about those negative thoughts. Tthose are old & ignorant wise tales. As far as my hands, there is no need for gloves be/c the chemical isn't harmful. The reason why we don't put it on the scalp is be/c when the hair grows out, the difference between the two textures will cause and bend in the hair and will then cause breakage

  • what is the name of the red flat iron

  • @gentleye31 Titanium Pro By Babyliss

  • what is the name of the red hair

  • I like she has beautiful hair natural or straightened

  • Thanks for your commenet mskells75

  • ok maybe its just my fam but all the women if we take care of our hair go to the salon and wat not it grows but if we leave it alone and dont do a darn thing to protect it it growns even more!! idk its weird every stylist i go to dont understand y??

  • Omg where r u? I need an appt .for my 12 yr old.

  • @kb90810 we're located in Branford, CT

  • 9 years old and your putting chemicals in her hair?? her hairs beautiful though and those chemicals can be damaging.......

  • @blueipodgal94 I have doing this service on Torie's hair for almost 6 years, twice a year and her hair is very healthy!

  • @blueipodgal94 i wish i had her hair.... i wouldn't do anything to it... it's only unmanageable for them becuse they don't know how to take care of the hair

  • What is Thermal Reconditioning? Is is similar to relaxing? Where can I get it? The other question is what's the point of using this technique and flat ironing the hair? Why not use one or the other? Not criticizing, just curious.

  • What is Thermal Reconditioning? Is is similar to relaxing? Where can I get it?

  • as long as she sees the beatuy in our hair straightened or not....and i do appreciate her saying the bad hair and good hair stereotype is false healthy hair is good hair... so i do respect her saying that.... But i think even before the flatiron looks awesome

  • her hair is beautiful but isnt it bad to put the chemicals all the way to the end of her hair?? i thought it should only be applied where the new growth is?

  • @Jamgirl2341 Thanks so much for your comment,

We are not puting chemical on the ends that's protection, so the chemical does not overlape

  • @hairstalent ok. if i wasnt going natural i would actually consider doing this treatment, i have a friend that lives in conneticut :) relaxers broke my hair off so im guessing this doesnt have all the chemicals relaxers does

  • wow ! i wish she was my hair-dresser ! look at that girl's hair ! amazingly beautiful.

  • Would you be able to dye your hair if you use this treatment instead of a traditional relaxer? Thanks in Advance

  • @candyisc00l

It depends on the texture of your hair, the health and the amount of lift.

  • may i ask? if this is not a perm.. what is it doing?

  • @crazy91530 This is a perm, It is a straightening. The Japanese Straightening/ Thermal Reconditioning

  • im black so don't say that's racist. i have bad hair

i was surprised at the moment when they said they blow dried it

if it was regular black hair

    it looks straightend

  • @xxxxxCandyCornxxxxx yeah the girl has gotten her hair treated [with this lady's method] that's why its already straight and she just has to treat the new growth by the roots. Kinda like a relaxer, your hair stays straight once you've treated it..hope this helped :)

  • @xxxxxCandyCornxxxxx No one has bad hair. You probably just don't know how to take care of it, or don't want to learn how to take care of it. If you don't like natural hair, that's okay, but don't call it bad.. it's all you!

  • the lady speaks the truth on "good" and "bad" hair. her method of treating the hair seems to be working from what i'm seeing in this video. good job lady. don't mind the ignorant and nonconstructive comments you have gotten on this video. :)

  • @ediotu7 No worries, everyone has a right to their own opinion.

My only wish is that they would be more open minded and watched the video to it's entirety.

There is no room for growing, if we think we know it all.

    We should never stop learning.

  • my god her hair is gorgeous.

  • You did a great job!!!!!

  • @mzcool71 This white chick has been doing black hair now for years and she knows exactly what she is doing.

This is the Japanese straightening also called the thermal reconditioning

  • Does she know that you only apply the relaxer or whatever she calls it to the new growth?? :/

  • @shawtygotteeth This is not a relaxer, do you think we would be able to take our time like that, putting a relaxer in someones hair

  • @shawtygotteeth That's what we are doing , we are applying a protection on the mid shaft down to the ends to protect the hair from the thermal reconditioning from getting on the already processed themaled hair.

  • YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO APPLY RELAXER WITH A COMB

  • @buttons613 I agree, but this is not a relaxer, it is a chemical straightening but not sodium hydroxide.

  • @buttons613 Its not a relaxer, learn how to read before you bash someone.

  • So sad a little girl getting hook on the creamy crack. She will grow up not knowing what her REAL hair is.

  • @XrayBaby007 It's really easy to grow out a thermal, as soon as Victoria is ready we can give her a curly perm right on top of this and her natural curl will blend in with the curly Gina Curl

  • I agree with AshleyKristina I don't care what race you are as long as you can handle African American hair I'm cool with you doing mine!! You do an awesome job!! I wonder how much this treatment would cost, and is it a chemical like a perm or is it all natural products??

  • @wolgurl88 It's all good.I deal with this all the time. The best is when a client comes to me from a referral & wasn't told I'm Italian. lol The look on their face is worth a million & then the look on their face after I do their hair is worth another.I just wish it can be understood that tight coiled hair it's what I do&I want to spread the word so other stylist may have an interest to learn this technique that I was determined to develop for my black clients.

  • I agree with AshleyKristina!!! that hair stylist did a damn good job on her hair! My thing is I don't care what your race us as long as you can handle the texture of African American hair then I'm cool with letting you do my hair!! I've never seen this treatment before!! Looks amazing. I wonder how much this would cost.

  • @wolgurl88 It's the Japanese Straightening,it is a perm, It will be permanent on your hair but of corse the new growth will grow out. The best is, there is no breakage when it does grows out, so no rush to have your retouch done as soon as you would a relaxer. The price depends on the texture, length, condition and previous chemicals in your hair

  • i think some of you are delusional.. black people are not the only ones who can do black hair... why hate??? criticizing what another persons work to another persons hair.. i think that white lady did a damn good job.. just shatup ppl gosh smh you probably wish she did ya hair ya just don't wanna admit it

  • never trust a white person with an african american person's hair.

  • ??????

  • Whys she putting the chemical allll over telitle gils hair???? Thats.... Ummm... Yeah lol. Not right!

  • She doesn't need a flat iron on her haoir. Its naturally beautiful;. My hair is just thick and puffy!

  • her hair looks so healthy

  • 5:50 - 5:55 who is that rubbing the girls hair with those ghetto ass nails lol

  • ok

  • whats the name of the relaxer?

  • @bblackiiee It's called The Japanese Straightening We use the Liscio brand

  • ha! i have that flat iron

  • @snickerdoodles24 It's good isn't it?

  • @hairstalent OH YEAH! IT'S MY FAVORITE THING IN THE WORLD. I HAD ONE FROM SEPHORA! BIG MISTAKE! IT DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! I HAVE HAIR KIND OF LIKE VICTORIA BUT NO AS THICK AND CURLY !THAT IS THE BEST KIND OF FLAT IRON. there is no reason for this to be in a capital letters! awk!

  • @snickerdoodles24 Have you tried the mini yet for your edges?

  • @hairstalent no! but i should!

  • @hairstalent where is your salon and is it in VA?

  • @CherryBlossomChic1 No, we are in Connecticut. But I am trying to connect with a salon in Virginia and come down there to do some hair. Please send me your info and I will let you know when it happens ok.

  • what did the stylist do to make her hair get that way?

  • I am a hairstylist and I would like to applaud the stylist in this video for taking extra care to protect that child's previously relaxed hair. Oftentimes, we overlap the relaxer onto the already straightened hair causing damage and breakage. I think I will start to use this technique of conditioning the ends during my relaxers as well. Thanks for the video!! BTW....I am also African-American!!!

  • @mzlenoir08 Thanks for your comment and best of luck to you.

  • @hairstalent how much does it cost please?

  • Respond to this video... anywhere between $350- $800

  • @hairstalent wow really? i might just stick to the straightners lol

(im not gay to anyone who thinks that i just hate curly hair)

  • i dont get what this is?

  • @nayamoss7110 This is the Japanese Straightening.

There's plenty of information if you read the comments below or go to our web site at hairstalent

  • how much is this

  • @TruelyDynamic It depends on texture, lenght, previous chemical .

Our prices start at $350 depending on our hair plan for you

  • @TruelyDynamic It depends on texture, lenght, previous chemical .

Our prices start at 350 depending on our hair plan for you

  • I have a question. This little girls does not look African American in the face. She looks Dominican mixed. Are you sure she is "african american"?

  • @mskrys419

    Victoria is African American.

    Check out my other video

on her before and after pictures

  • @mskrys419 she doesnt look african american???!!!...now there's ONE look...smh..

  • So why are you putting the chemical on all of her hair? She had it about 8 months ago so it hould only be put on 4 inches of her roots

  • @mskrys419

We are puting chemical in roots and protection on her ends

  • @hairstalent I respect you and your craft with ethnic hair. her hair looks great, but I clearly see you and the other woman extending the product throughout the whole hair shaft. Great outcome though

  • @mskrys419If you notice we are using 2 dishes each, one has the chemical and one has protection & protein cream

  • "CURSED WITH BAD HAIR!?" REALLY?! MAN GTFOH!!!

  • @msturner100

Thanks for your comment but, please watch the entire video and you will understand way I said what I said and

how I too get upset when people talk such foolishness

  • @msturner100 feels like a curse to me since i rather just wash n go and look presentable & not deal with the hassle but theres nothing i can do about my curl pattern & texture so i just keep it natural.

  • first of all, I think your work is absolutely amazing!!! every single client I see in your chairs have healthy, long beautiful hair!! It made my blood boil reading all of these ignorant and negative comments...I have been following Hair's Talent for a very long time, and have been able to grow my hair very healthy because of your methods. I love how you focus on hair HEALTH rather than style, which is what sadly, alot of women in our ethnicity seem to comprimise for the sake of looking good.

  • this lady just talks just to hear her own voice!! i dont think she knows what she is saying
