  • 맛있을 것 같네요〜~

보고 있는 것만으로, 배가 비어 왔습니다!

  • I'm having a hard time finding red pepper paste, what can I substitute?

  • @mahaler

    You don't need red pepper paste for this recipe ^^:;

  • Hey I was wondering, is this recipe rely on the cooking wine ? can we use something else to replace it ?

  • @ViettanhNguyen

You can replace it to water..

  • Hi Aeri, I love your recipe but I have a problem, I must eat it alone as my wife wouldn't have it.

I'm a meat lover, unfortunately my wife can't stand the smell (let alone the taste of meat). When she was small growing up in Seoul she used to have a variety of Bulgogi, Chadol-Bagui? (Marble beef) , that is a different cut of the caw and maybe cooked different. These she said is the only kind of beef she ate as a kid. Could you post a recipe so that I can prepare a meat dish we both can enjoy?

  • @dvillalba3d

Sorry.. I can't understand what you exactly want. Can you tell me what kind of beef or meat dish she likes ?? any specific name ?? then I will make it for you. thanks

  • @aeriskitchen Hi Aeri, the way my wife describes it, is like Bulgogi, with vegetables, Chadolbaegi meat and hot red pepper paste. I don't know the name of the dish and neither does she. She doesn't like meat, but she liked this dish. I don't know if its the red hot pepper paste masking the beef flavor or the Chadolbaegi. Is there such a dish or it was a different way they prepared the dish so she will eat some beef?

    Thanks for your interest!

  • @dvillalba3d from your description, it sounds like daegi gogi, which is pork marinated in gochu jang. You can do it with beef but its different. chadol baegi is sliced brisked served by itself maybe with a side of sweet soy sauce.

  • Oooooohhhhhhhhhhh! That looks so good! Thank you:)

  • AERI!I made this yesterday and my family absolutely LOVED it! I can't wait to try more of your recipes! <333

  • What is the taste of this.. dish????

  • @craftyme92

a little salty... sweet... it taste really good with the garlic.. onion flavor in it too..

  • @craftyme92 it's delicious really!!

  • @ darkrose281369 dulling**

  • Sry but I have to say this not trying to be anal but right now I am in culinary classes and I saw your cutting board, you might want to change to a plastic or hard wood one, if you don't you will end up pulling your knives. Great sanitation though. : )

  • thankkkkksss for sharinggggggggggggggggg

  • I recently tried korean food & it was "ok" but definetly worth another try..I prefer thai cuisine or chinese.

  • can you tell me how many servings will this recipe make?

  • @poohbie09

    it's about 3 servings.. ^^

  • Thank you for making this wonderful video!

  • Thank you so much for posting this! This is my new favorite channel!

  • Try adding kiwi juice or mashed kiwi instead as it compliments the beef better if using a fresh kiwi that's mashed sprinkle the beef with the sugar then rub the meat with the mashed kiwi as it tenderizes low grade meat and high grade meat and still offers the same if not better flavors

  • 아, 배고프네...

이거 올리신 분, 정말 나빠요... ㅜㅜ

나로 하여금 허기의 하소연을 늘어놓게 만드시다니... ㅠㅠ

  • but thats pan fried not bbq'ed..

  • @Keltic619 yes but not many Koreans own grills at home.. that's the thing. it can be cooked both ways. the bbq version just got more popular to the western audience.

  • @tokee1234567 oh okay thanks for clearing that up.. I'm sure it tastes great just the same! ;)

  • I love making this. I just leave out the pear juice as I usually forget to buy it and instead add a little sugar.

  • Mat-shi-sei-yo!!!!

Sorry, I am a kojangey and I don't speak enough Korean. Can you show how to make Hotteuk next?

  • @laakman

I already posted hotteok.. please check it out ^^

  • @Lillux3100 check out kimchi chronicle. There are really good Korean food recipes.

  • @Lillyx3100 Bulgogi meat is sliced ribeye. Go to Korean market. The meat department always have Bulgogi meat already sliced. Some large Japanese markets carry them as well. And if you like to be lazy and save time, try the ready made Bulgogi marinade. Just add veggies, sesame seeds and sesame oil to perk it up a little. I add fresh kiwi juice or Asian pear juice for more flavor. You can also substitute honey with sugar. I hope this helps.

  • I love Bulgogi! And my family. I hope I can get my boyfriend to try to like it too. Quick question though do you think Asian Grocery stores carry Sirloin meat already cut? So you can save time?

  • WOW THANKS ALOT Aeri! I can't wait to try!!! :3

  • Wow this looks delicious!! Never had Bulgogi but I'm definitely gonna try.. 감사합니다 !! :-)

  • @ModelchicaBarbzz defiantly try it, you won't be disappointed, it is sooo good. I miss it. :(

  • My aunt and grandmother are Korean and this I have to say is TOTALLY my favorite. They also make a cold salad using bean sproats, do you happen to know what that one is, it has a sweet vinger taste.

  • @acuriouskitty101

Yes, I know what you are talking about the bean sprout dish ^^ Nice to meet you.

  • @aeriskitchen can you please tell me what is called or if someone else you know has how a video on how to make it , or even better can you show me how to make it. Thanks...

  • What can I add to make the spicy bulgogi

  • @rzimwifey

I have spicy fried pork recipe that I posted before. You can just use beef instead of pork for that recipe. Please check it out. You can search "Korean Food: Spicy Fried Pork (제육 볶음)" thanks

  • @rzimwifey I'd just add chili

  • Love Bulgogi.... I usually only get the chance to eat it once a year :(

  • i dont have a korean pan like yours. can i use regular ordianry pan?

  • @inuyasha9610

    Yes you can ^^

  • 아ㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏㅏ 배고파ㅠㅠ

  • Carbonized stranded-bamboo cutting board. Nice!

  • Hi Aeri, can I cook this without the pear juice? will it come out just as good? Thanks =)

  • @JustPeachy0011

Pear juice is one of the secret ingredients for the good bulgogi..but can cook without it if you don't have.. You might want to add more sugar instead..

  • cute,, your left handed,,,, I always cook bulgogi,,, I super love it :-)

  • @tanthagz

I'm right handed..just the mac cam made it look like that.. lol hehe thanks

  • om, I already gained 2lbs. just by watching this. I gotta get outa here quick.

  • If i take this recipe and add hot chili paste will it taste close to deji bulgogi or hot bulgogi???

  • @mrpapafunky7879

  • BulKoGi, Chal Cho a Ha Nun Dae! Kam Sa Ham Ni Da.

  • @micers

  • Ahhh, a Jewelry song!

  • Is the carrot and whole onion optional, because my friend doesn't like onion and carrot, yet she likes the green onion. Also do you havea recipe for dukkboki bulgogi? I really like that dish, is the process almost the same?

  • @ChibilogicalPwnageX3

okay.. you can use green onion instead then.. I posted royal palace tteokbooki video before.. that's what you are looking for.. please check it out. ^^ thanks

  • I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS I HOPE YOU NEVER STOP MAKING THEM :D

  • 와 조리법 대박 요리 자체를 전 몰랏엇는데 ㅠㅠ 감사합니다 ㅎㅎ

  • @BiniTing

    that's a different dish..^^

  • 남편 분은 복 받으셨구만...

  • I've been making something like this for almost a year, my husband loves it! I always add some fresh baby spinach towards the end, but that's pretty much the only difference (aside from not using pear juice). It's so good!

  • can I come to your house for dinner??? ;-)

  • @blessedmommy73

    haha... sure ~~~ :) lol

  • I have the meat marinading now for dinner in a few hours! I learned this recipe from a Filipina friend who had a Korean cook in their house while growing up. It has fond memories for me since my friend has passed on - I cherish her and her recipe every time I eat it. She never put in the carrot or onion so this will be a new twist for me trying it this way. Yummy! Thank you for the recipe.

  • I am dying to make this tomorrow. Hope it turns well though. T_T Can I eat this with lettuce and rice just like samgyeopsal?

btw, thanks for your tutorials, it really looks yummy. I will try them one by one when I have time and if I found the ingredients. *subscribed* ^^

  • @instantmacarony

yes you can eat like that..

  • could you make jja-jang myon and spicy cold noodles? :)

  • @hina123avis

I have both recipes and videos.. please search "Korean Food: Jja-jang Bob (짜장밥)" and "Korean Food: Spicy Cold Buckwheat Noodles (비빔 냉면)"

  • Hi Aeriskitchen! :D I cooked this today all by myself for my family! I'm the youngest brother in my family and your video really motivated me to cook the Bulgogi today! Your videos are fun to watch and even more fun to follow! Keep the good work going! (:

  • do i need to put oil when cooking in or not?

  • @9loveusnsd

usually you don't have to..but if your meat seems too dry..and don't have enough liquid.. maybe add a little bit of oil..

  • your arm looks like mine

  • i'm going to make this for my new girlfriend!! i hope she'll like it... thank you for the very instructional video!!!

  • @idkyoo that's soooo cute!!! I wish my boyfriend could cook....but I always make him food hehe...maybe i'll make him this ?? i bet your girlfriend was/will be really happy to eat this :D

  • @SuperSeaCucumber she did!! she said it was super delicious and she even let her mother tried some and it was approved!! :D i love cooking for my girlfriend hehehe i don't believe in the old traditional rules where girls only cook. i believe it is an even thing. cooking together is always the best! =] i bet your bf will love your bulgogi too hehe

  • Thank you for posting this video I am going to try this.

  • For some reason, I did something wrong both times I made this. When I was mixing it together it smelled great and perfect, but when I cooked it, the food had very little of the tasty sweetness. Maybe I cooked it too long? Not long enough? Should I cook the leftover juice with it, or leave it out?

Do you have any suggestions? Thanks so much!!

  • @universe1song

did you marinated the meat enough ?? you cook all the juice with it..^^

  • looks easier than i thought

  • Hi aeriskitchen, first I like to thank you for making these videos. Soon I'm going to try making Bulgogi myself but I have a question about the video that is maybe a little off-topic. What is the song that is playing in the background at the beginning, I like it.

  • @Waterhaak

    Songs for this Video:

    Artist: 쥬얼리 (Jewelry)

    Title: 1. 니가 참 좋아 / 2.모를까봐서

    They are Korean group..

  • چه صدای بی حالی ولی دستت درد نکنه. اسمت چیه؟^^

  • @zederish Agha to khahar madar mage nadari miay mozaheme khanoom mohtarame kore ee mishi?

sareto bendaz payeen binam ... bi haya!

  • @GrungeAct lol

  • Can you do a video on how to make jokbal =D Thaankyou, I always enjoy watching your videos xD

  • @2pmbangnee

I will add it to my list.. thanks

  • Wow.. that looks so delicious..

  • bulgogi is great!

  • i'm a muslim,so i can't use any kind of wine..what can i use as a substitute?

  • @aduyaiful omit the wine for a sweet juice(with a shot of cider vinigar for the kick)

  • @daveh013 thanks :))))

  • how does it taste? too sweet? and is there really no salt in the recipe or when eating? Because my country's cuisine dont have any sweet-tasting meat recipe :( so i wanna try this but i am afraid that it would be too sweet for my taste:(

  • @hikarushidou

it's sweet and salty flavor.. since you are not accustomed to sweet meat flavor.. you can reduce sweet ingredients ..and after the meat is cooked.. taste it..and can add more sweet stuff if you want.. thanks

  • @aeriskitchen this recipe and the way you say it sounds a lot of what my grandmother used to make, but she called it prugogi. It was beef strips with soy sauce, brown sugar, and green onions. Do you think that perhaps they are the same thing, just prepared different?

  • @hikarushidou

    >> is there really no salt in the recipe

There Is Soy Sauce In It, Thats All The Salt You Need, People Normaly Add More Soy Sauce When They Eat It Per There Taste If Needed. It Is Normaly Served With Steamed Rice. This Was My Favorate Dish When I Was In Korea (2 Years).

  • Its more convenient to use a large ziploc bag for mixing.

  • i cannot wait to make this!!!!!!

  • It's also good thing to leave the raw meat submerged in the cold water for few hours to drain blood out from meat, it makes meat less gamey.

  • I can't find prepared pear juice. Can I use a substitute or a real squeezed pear?

By the way, the background music sounds like one of the singers from SNSD :o

  • @KitKatman2008

If you use real pear. (asian or apple pear) .. it will be even better than pear juice from can.. try it.. :) thanks

  • @aeriskitchen gamsa hamnida! :D

  • Hi! Aeri ^_^ I already wrote a comment >.< I have a question... I can use water to substitue the cooking wine if I don't have it, but can I use mirin? it is the same?

    Thank you ^w^

  • @CATITADONA

    mirin is same.. ^^ thanks

  • @aeriskitchen I don't have rice cooking wine but I have de-alcoholized sparkling wine,will this work?

  • both bulgogi and samgyupsal can be wrapped in lettuce leaves and rice, right? =)

  • @littlecutekitty

    you are right.. ^^ thanks

  • Bulgogi :D~

  • my god that looks delicious. if I ever forget how to drool I can just watch this video

  • I love bulgogi. I ate it during a festival in my U. Thank you for providing us with this wonderful recipe =)

  • I'll have to try this for dinner tomorrow night, looks yummy and so simple. I Was wondering, I go to a Korean Fusion Restaurant and they have this one side dish. Its like Green Beans flavored with Sesame Seeds and some kind of liquid. I was wonder wait it was called or make a video on it? Thanks, hope to hear from you soon. (:

  • @sunNary

sorry..but I can't guess what you are talking..maybe since it's fusion food I'm not that familiar with.. sorry for poor answer..

  • Me too I can't use cooking wine can I skip it !!!!!

  • @ASIANGURL8D

    yes you can skip it.

  • hi, i want to make this but i cant use cooking wine because of my religion. can i skip it? or any other substitute?

  • @sweetsyira

    yes you can skip it.

  • Do you sometimes make it without the carrot and onion and have just the plain meat like galbi?

  • @KAPOLLO101

yes you can.. but carrot and onion.. especially onion gives good flavor to your bulgogi..and vegetable is healthy.. ;) hehe thanks

  • @aeriskitchen Hehe i tell my mom to make it with veggies but she doesnt know how, so she just makes it plain. It still tastes good^^. At the korean restaurant i went to, i had a choice of how spicy the bulgogi could be. On a scale of 1-6 i chose 4. VERY SPICY!!!! hahahaha

  • what are other substitutes for asian pear? can i use fuji apple?

  • @kaydeeyu

yes you can... but you don't want too strong apple flavor in it.. so you can use little bit..and if you need, add a little more sure for sweetness.. thanks

  • This is the absolutely BEST korean item!! I LVOE beef bulgogi?? Could I live on it? you aks, heck yes! lol

  • before i heard that the green stuff was chopped green onions, i thought it was whole bunch of korean peppers and i was like, OMG!

  • Bulgogi taste good we tired doing it at home :))

  • i dont have pear juice and ginger powder and i cant drink wine so is it okay if i skip these 3 ingredients for the sauce?

  • @ibmzik

Yes you can.. pear juice is kind of a secret ingredient for tasty bulgogi.. but if you don't have.. maybe you can add a little bit of dark brown sugar or sugar instead.. yep.. you can skip ginger powder and cooking wine.. instead you can use water..

  • 아주 재미있어요!!! Is the cooking wine similar to Mirin?

  • @DeeDubb1983

yep.. it's almost same with mirin..

  • i love eating bulgogi at a korean restaurant near my school ^_^

    blessings!

  • I have to try this one. Looks delicious!

  • at a grocery store, i saw them selling

these bulgogi bbq sauce, so instead can

i jus use those sauce from the store and do the rest on my own??

  • @lovelyvangurl

Yes, you can.. personally I prefer homemade sauce than store bought bbq sauce, but it is convenience to use them when you don't have much time. ^^

  • 불고기가 너무너무맛있어요..... Aeri fighting!!!! :D

  • so yummmy:)

    cute voice :)

  • yummy!!! (=^W^=) It's ok if i don't have cooking wine? bcause i want to try it, but i don't have the wine T_T it's ok?

  • @CATITADONA

You can replace the cooking wine to water if you don't have it. :)

  • i think this is what happened to my german sheppard

  • Hi Aeri ,first of all tk u so much 4 sharing this ,love u'r recepies .MMM.... what I wanted to ask u is that u can keep it more than a1/2 day

  • @adydbzgirl01

yes.. if you want to keep long.. you can also freeze them..and when you want to eat bulgogi... fry them later..

  • Bulgogi I have eaten in the past has a good bit of heat, what can be used to make this spicy?

  • @apsdh340

You can add some slice of hot pepper in your bulgogi .. ^^

  • Do you know the name of the korean dish that mixes raw fish with rice? It's like sushi without the assembly. Same thing with eel

I had both at a Korean restaurant

  • @BlackWolf4830 are you talking about sashimi?

  • @NSarge87 Nah, sashimi can be assembled, although it's not always.

I found the name of it at any rate, it's called "Hoedeopbap".

  • @NSarge87 Nah, sashimi can be assembled, although it's not always.

I found the name of it at any rate, it's called "Hoedeopbap". Or, for eel, it's Jangeo Deopbap

  • @BlackWolf4830

  • @mrmehdimedia

Yes, you can use a wok too.. ^^ Enjoy your bulgogi today.

  • I am so hungry now and thinking what to buy tomorrow. Right after my work i am going to rush to store . I have only 3 hrs to sleep now .. going to sleep but i will dream of bulgogi :)

  • WOW thank you so much. I love Korea and the Korean kitchen and you have the best tutorials on Korean food. I subscribed!

  • hi aeri, i want to ask, if i dont have a pear juice, can i use apple? or pineapple juice?

  • Hi Aeri! I finally made this, and it was delicious. I think I used too much soy sauce though or didn't use enough meat because it was a bit too salty. Otherwise, the recipe was exactly as I expected! Soo great, thank you for making korean food easy to make at home ;o).

  • You should make Bibimbap! ^^

  • Hey can you make that spicy version or is there a video of it?

  • @Mw2Recruit

I have a spicy fried pork video.. I will send you a link for it.

  • hi , i love the way how you show people how to cook food. and for this video i like the korean song that you put it on. and if you dont mind telling me the name of the song and the singers... i appreciate it alot if you dont mind.. keep up the good work..
