I can't help but feel that the perspective/scale of this supposed "UFO" is in no way realistic for a large high speed object appearing from the clouds. It is called a Fly mate :)
i have a photo exactly like this!!!!! same shape, colour adjusting showed the same shape as this one. didnt see it until i looked at the photos. am convinced its the same thing. photo taken from Badgerys creek 7.5.11 approx 12-12.30
Not a coke can.Just join the two words together with a letter at the end and this word will explain what every one at this festival(including the photographer)were on!
@edstar83 I don't have any reason to think that this is something unusual. Actually I have a reason to think that this is a bug - on frames 1:09 and 1:12 you can clearly wings.
I think God was making coffee and dropped a bean! Only kidding. Nice video and you really delved into it! I'm actually hoping it was a UFO because I love that type of stuff. Thanks for the detailed video. :)
My guess is a fly or bug passing a metre or two almost directly over the camera operator. The camera's frame duration (like a still camera's shutter speed) means it does not blur, giving little reference of its direction. The point of origin in the sky could just be persistance due to compression. It is sometimes easy to misinterpret 3-dimensional cues in a 2-dimensional image. Give my interpretation a bit of thought, apply Occam's Razor and have another look at it.
Mate...I live three blocks from there and have been to the festival myself. It's actually called the "Surry Hills" festival. No "e". Might wanna check the spelling next time...oh, hang on...there it is on the UFO!!!!

This is a re-upload with a little more info. I'll post a video response shortly comparing the object in this video to a bug.
