The sitting administration not only widened the distance between America and Europe, it also sowed division between the European nations, playing off allies against allies, calling them "Old Europe" and "New Europe", dependent on if they do what Washington commands them.
For a renewal of the weakened NATO partnership and cultural relations,for an end to the mistrust among allies.

That One cares about me and the family I hope to have and the world I want to raise that family in. When did the newspapers and news channels become mouthpieces and stop being resources of fact and news? He gets away with the questionable relationships because his relationships are less questionable than McCain's and Palin's. How did McCain and Palin get a free pass on the Keating Five scandal and the Alaskan Secessionist Party. I haven't heard those being played to death as much as the Ayers connections - which is what? Obama is connected to a FORMER terrorist who is now a strong community leader in Chicago. Obama was 8 when Ayers did his thing, whereas Palin and McCain are IN THE MIDDLE of it.

This should not be a contest, we need to put secondary and tertiary differences aside. All Americans want to have a job, buy a home, feed our families and live safe. In the last 8 years, we have lost jobs & homes, can't afford food and the World doesn't respect us. Gay Marriage, Religious Beliefs etc. are not the priority. If its between a Fighter Pilot and a Constitutional Attorney, I would like the later for my president. John McCain should of won in 2000, this year is an Obama year.

I watched this last night with a friend over dinner. We both cried. As some have said, I have both McCain and Obama supporters as friends and I love them all. But I believe that Obama has a better chance of uniting us as a people, as a society and even those in the S and HR for purposes of legislative accomplishment. Initially I wasn't much of an Obama supporter - not that it counts, I'm not a US citizen anyways - but I must say, it's impossible not to be in awe of this guy, the way he handles himself, his intellectual approach to problem solving and his priorities. Way to go, America! A country that can still produce extraordinary candidates like him proves once again why it can aspire to be leader of the free world!
