@johnnymoondog I didn't know Stevie Riks collected old pound notes. (Not being British, I wonder why old pound notes from 1961 would no longer be legal tender. Is it because of decimalization, which took place in 1971? BTW, U.S. dollar bills from the time period would still be legal tender and honored by the U.S. government, but the Treasury Department has destroyed most of those on a regular basis.)

I read that when Stu Sutcliffe left the band, the Beatles had him notify Williams that he would not be receiving his commission. I don't recall what their justification was for denying him the commission (I do they considered him more of a booking agent and perhaps felt they had secured a certain gig themselves). Anyhow, so many Beatle authors contradict each other so often, I don't always know who to believe. Even the Beatles contradicted each other (or even themselves) from time to time.
